Outside of the sexism in courts, which is a factor, have you considered that less men actually want to be custodial parents? Especially if they're the ones with careers?

the presumption is that the mother should have full custody by default. This is just not true: "full custody" is only rewarded to one parent when there is significant evidence of the other parent being unfit (some form of abuse, or rampant drug use/legal issues) or choosing to abdicate parenthood. I work with this field fairly closely: the idea that women are just granted full custody willy-nilly by judges is an MRA fever dream, propagated by some unfortunate edge cases with biased judges and re…

No, it was a rebuttable presumption in Florida as a starting point. Not a default ruling. A rebuttal presumption is a default ruling, as it sets the standard for judgement which the parents then need to have the time, money, and legal knowledge to challenge. I didn't say it would be an ironclad automatic ruling, but that bill would have established a de facto presumption of shared custody as in the best interest of the child, and shifted the burden of proof requirement to reflect that. If a pare…

+1 to this. Especially since the comparison is so off base: the KKK weren't trying to elevate whiteness, they were specifically trying to oppress minorities. The longer the narrative of "feminism is about hating men" is pushed, the longer those who advocate for men's rights will have to struggle to build the bridges needed to address men's issues.

They haven't actually opposed making custody "more fair." The oft-cited article on this is specifically referring to a bill that tried to make the baseline, automatic ruling for custody 50-50 regardless of facts on the ground. This is bad for kids and not something that I, as a man working in this system, want to see. There aren't millions of women rubbing their hands together and cackling in glee as they plot to strip hard working, kind men of their children. There's some systemic bias against …

looks around at all the posts claiming that feminism and feminists hate men Clearly not, if you're going by this sub's definition. But advocating for men's rights is as simple as identifying problems men face and pushing for or supporting changes to them. That means hard things, not just arguing on the internet or "raising awareness." It means volunteering in organizations. It means finding jobs in legal or social or political fields. It means donating money to men's shelters and mental/physical…

No matter how much I argue with you, you'll never see it the way the way TRP'ers see it. Actual knowledge in the science of evolutionary psychology helps with that, yeah. If TRP actually had facts behind its ideology, we wouldn't even be having this conversation, but your arguments just don't mean anything when you're not willing or able to defend them logically or with evidence. Some people just don't want to wake up. Keep on swallowing the blue pill and living in your fantasy land. The "fantas…

And the "no true scotsman" rears its ugly head. No no, it's not TRP to blame: it's just newbies who don't know the TRUE meaning of TRP giving you guys a bad name! You're really all about directness and honesty! Nevermind that the language and culture is absolutely steeped in bullshit science and promotes manipulation. Saying that TRP is about being "straight and direct, no bullshit" is hilarious. Go ahead and tell your woman exactly what you're doing when you demonstrate what you learn from TRP.…

So just never go near any woman? If your definition of "scum" is "any woman," that pretty much answers things for you. I have dozens of female friends, and have never once been afraid that any of them would accuse me of rape, nor have any of my male friends been accused of rape. But then, I don't just go around picking up strangers at bars or wherever you find your women, so I guess our standards are just different. it's that they genuinely believe that regretting a hook up equals rape Yeah, tha…

I have friends in the military and most of those sexual assaults are soldiers get caught and it's assumed the male(who is often the senior officer) is at fault/taking advantage. So? I have family in the military, and your assumptions don't match the evidence. Is it cowardly to be worried about a legitimate fear? If you see being accused of rape a "legitimate fear," you just suck at statistics. You're more likely to be killed or maimed in a car crash or die to heart disease than be falsely convic…

you sound paranoid as fuck and I pity you, there is no rape culture, sexual assaults at work are treated seriously, i''d say men would respect women more for volunteering to risk like they do. ...are you trolling? That kind of denial is breathtakingly ignorant. You clearly haven't been paying attention to what's been going on in the military, where women are more likely to be raped by fellow soldiers than killed in combat, and the abuses and sexual assault women face there every day are institut…

And to add to this, anyone thinking that the danger of rape is an exaggeration in male dominated fields, please pay better attention to what's been going on in the Army. As it becomes less and less taboo for women to speak out, we are learning about the abuses and pressure they experience in a field where the vast, vast majority of their superior officers are male. Facing harassment on its own is bad enough: facing harassment and being pressured and threatened and dismissed for speaking out abou…

Your friends are not representative of all women, They don't have to be representative of "all women," but either I hit the statistical jackpot with the dozen+ female friends I have, or these women are far more common than you or any RedPiller wants to admit. And since I know other men who have similarly large groups of non-idiotic women friends, I don't think I hit the jackpot. Cosmo is a best seller so there must be a market A magazine can be a best seller by selling millions of copies. Cosmos…

I have yet to find anything on trp that doesn't have it's equal in female strategy, look at cosmo which discusses the merits of babyjacking This. This right here sums up everything wrong with the mentality that TRP reinforces. The idea that the majority of women, let alone any women you should care about being with, are getting their relationship cues from shitty magazines like "Cosmo" that every female friend I have openly mocks and reviles, is so wrong on its own that it makes every conclusion…

Except I don't use all that i've learned in trp to manipulate people into looking after my children, trp has actually made me better in relationships, I dither less and my partners/plates/etc. have commented on it. I'm sorry, what? You "dither less?" That's what you needed TRP for: making up your mind about where to eat for dinner and what clothes to wear? Wow, I had no idea that's what TRP offered men. I must have been reading the wrong RP posts and comments all this time! Using game and strate…

In addition to what /u/squirrellywhirly said, I find it kind of amusing that you think it's disgusting that she "rationally planned" how to optimize her relationship solely for her own well being. Congrats! You can now turn that lens inward and see why so many people find TRP disgusting!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
