The thing is, it depends on the type of women you surround yourself with and date. I'm a woman, all of the men I've dated have been various forms of sweet and nerdy because that's my preference in a partner. All of my girl friends and women I'm associated with have chosen men that I would classify as kind upstanding men. A few of them also happen to be autistic. I have 1 friend who's with a guy I would classify as a bad person but that's about it. It really just depends on the type of people. On…

Wtf two weeks 😭 I think it depends on the person, I've had friends with autism, men and women, who have very successful dating lives. For myself it's been a struggle. I have no problem getting a date but getting someone to respect my boundaries and wanting to go slow feels impossible 🥲

This^ media representations of men don't influence me, actual experience does. I've been sexually harassed, nearly every female family member or friend I have has either been sexually harassed or assaulted at least once in their life. I think generally most men are good and have good intentions but that small percent really force women to be on guard and proceed with caution.

I don't think it's a competition. Some Women want to work, others want to be a SAHM. I think we run more into the problem of being a SAHM isn't as possible as it used to be with our current economy and wages vs price of living. When a man can no longer make enough to support his family it's hard to achieve that kind of household dynamic.

It's really sad 🫤 I've seen relationships where men have settled and I've seen it where women have. It really saddens me to see it, there's always a clear power dynamic or small under current of tension. I know people settle because they want to at least be with SOMEONE, but I will never understand being with a person you don't care about as much as they care about you. I'd rather be single forever than use someone else like that.

I agree with you 100% and it breaks my heart 😭 I feel like we so often only validate women's pain as a society and ignore men completely because they're supposed to be 'strong'. I've had male friends that have been physically and verbally abused, another friend that was sexually assaulted by a woman, and so many more instances where men around me have been hurt by women. That's not to invalidates women's pain, I myself have been a victim of sexual harassment and abuse by men, but I think it's im…

I've had conversations about this type of question or something similar with guys friends and male family members before and this take seems to be the general answer 👆 there is a very big difference between being disorganized and living in literal filth 🤢

I agree with you 100%, from what information is given he used his wife and then left her for someone else AFTER already having an affair. That's horrible and deplorable behavior, my point was more towards the initial statement of men being simple and the fact that we don't know these people personally or any of the intricacies of the situation or relationship. It's also a horrible story to use as an example of men not being simple 😂

I think you're 100% right in saying that men are not simple creatures. They're complex individuals just as much as any woman is and to say otherwise is a really harmful stereotype that invalidates their thoughts and feelings. On the other hand though, your story of your coworker seems very simple as other commenter's pointed out but I think that boils down to the specific person in question and also from the lack of detail or knowledge on the person to go off of. Even the most simple situations …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
