This I have tried many times from different angles.. very frustrating that she had to consent to treatment.. according to the law. Now after the separation I have even less authority to get her evaluated.

I am not “ looking for validation from this community “ any more than from anyone else.. the decision is on me . I only present the problem here for insight that I can consider.. this “community” isn’t the first resource i have consulted.

Definitely reconsidering.. The reason I want to divorce is 1. Everything is in place with the Separation..one more step 2. I could re marry 3. I might finally have some peace of mind…. But now I am realizing that peace of mind and a loving wife and happiness are not guaranteed either.

I attend church regularly and am in ministry.. I read a lot of good books and sometimes the Bible.. I pray off and on through out the day.. I have studied for months at a time at LAbri on four occasions.

My mission is to use my gifts of Art and music to bring people closer to the kingdom of God. I am 70 years old and in excellent condition. I go to the gym twice a week and study martial arts. I am 5’9” and 190 lbs.. I need a woman in my life for companionship. I am a retired public school Art Teacher…I survive on 2300 a month but pay no rent.

Thanks for your comment.. if the agreement is with God (as you said) then God is the only one who can release me from this nightmare. You are right to say that no man has the ability to tell me what to do. It is on me and heavy. I have counciled with many clergy and professionals for several years. I also appreciate this chat and your input.. still the decision remains mine to make.

I hope to find true love.. It may or may not happen but at least i might have that in my life time.. the legal separation was 10% separated 90% stuck.

I am 70 years old. I have been a Christian for 40.. I would like to have some peace of mind. Staying with her is miserable.. divorce has stigma and is scary. She can still function and has a son near by.. so she is safe.. plus she lives in the house we own.
