OK, but let's look at this from the other direction real quick. Why the fuck do we even still have a mandatory draft for anyone? I served. I sure as fuck wouldn't want anyone there covering my ass who didn't want to be there. The last draft call was almost 50 years ago. It's a relic. Our branches run just fine on volunteer soldiers, sailors, seamen, corpsmen.

Short answer: It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. There are just too many options that having the license opens up to call it heavy or light. My first trucking job, I pulled a flatbed. Job sites were most of what I did. 120 pound lumber tarps, 50 pound chains (14 of them), plus chain binders, dunnage, coil racks...had to lug all that shit around by hand. Heavy fucking job. It’s worth seeing if there are any subsidies for the classes. It’s usually about $4500 in the states, but between federal and state grants I only had to come out of pocket $150.

There are “no touch freight” jobs out there. All you have to do is swing the doors shut and roll down the road. If you can handle sitting and driving for long periods of time (4-8 hours between breaks), you should be good to go there. Some jobs also look hard, but aren’t. I’ve got a buddy who drives dump trucks. Levers and pneumatics do all the work for him, and the local labor does the rest.

Commercial driver’s license. It’s what you need in America to drive things like semis, buses, dump trucks, and other “larger than normal” vehicles. I don’t know how great it is in Europe, but I know in the US and Australia it can be great. It’s not just for big rigs, either. There’s a lot of shit that having a CDL makes available to you.

Absolutely not. Trains are automated, still legally required to have staff on board. Planes are capable of autonomous flight, still gotta have two people in the cockpit. I probably have too many expensive hobbies, but fuck it, it's my money, right? I build and shoot big guns, I build and drive fast(ish) cars, and I just got my motorcycle license today to start building and driving fast bikes. Got it after the start of model year 2020 for $8k under sticker, with a bunch of factory options. Such a great truck. Got me, my boys, and all of our gear up to the top of Snowshoe in heavy snow with no problems. Pulls my RX7 around without problems. Doesn't give a fuck about weather. Comfortable as hell.

One small thing worth thinking about though, funerals aren’t cheap, and even MGTOW has family members. It’s worth carrying a small life insurance policy, just enough to cover funeral expenses, so someone else isn’t saddled with your funeral costs.

When I still shaved, making the switch to DESR was a dramatic positive lifestyle change, way beyond what I expected. I know it sounds silly, but it really was.
