Yes, they had similar backgrounds economically wise (as in both raised by depression era parents and were poor), both motivated to do better. Both good looking and outgoing, and met through friends.

Exactly my thought, aren’t they all of the “no male friends” camp for their demands of a girlfriend?

Like storming back in "and another thing!" Bro, just goooo if that's what you want to do. Then they post on places like this about how angry we are, but I've yet to meet a another woman in real life who notices or cares. As you said, be happy and stop announcing the departure over and over again without actually leaving.

Your comment made me laugh because yes, sometimes there's more detail that I want to know. But I am glad that they've been able to talk to me, honestly when they were young I decided to not react to anything they might confide in me about themselves or their friends for a moment, until I had time to craft an appropriate response. Not flying off the handle, freaking out or making a face helped them feel like they could tell me anything, I believe.

I hate that you’re right, I stumbled in here from another sub and although I’m older, been married twice (got it right the second time) raised 3 sons who all have no trouble with dates/relationships, I’m addicted to the freak show that is this sub. And IT. I’ve learned terms and ideologies that I thought were all too crazy to be real. Damned if they aren’t real. And watching this mess is like a bad but fascinating reality show!

Difference is, women have to worry about the “nice guys” physically harming or murdering them because they’re butt hurt that they’re turned down. There’s a reason we’ve been told for generations to be nice to men who hit on us. We were never angels, but we quit hiding the pitchforks. Lmfaoooooo or whether the hell that is you kept saying 🤣

Training wheels level made me crack up so loud the guy in the office opposite mine leaned out and asked if I was okay. Yep, nothing to see here.

Believe me, I know, and I hesitated leaving that part in. Deal is, we’ve been in that type of dynamic for years. Also I’m a liberal, I’m a feminist, and I am in no way submissive to or for anyone but him. I firmly believe if women want to be what would be considered traditional, or she wants to run screaming into battle then that’s what she should do. None of us are the same and that’s a beautiful thing in itself.

My husband needs physical contact, the touchy-feely parts of the relationship. I’ve never been good at that, and my ex discouraged it. I work hard every day to remember what he needs, too. I take care of the house, I work and make good money although not what he does but because I put in less hours I’m good with taking care of the home. We did not have children together, but he helped finish raising mine and I his. Years ago I wrote this for him, so I’m just going to copy and paste. “ I will alw…

So do that. I’m maxing out my retirement contribution benefits and taxes aren’t stopping me. It’s a planned event, get with a financial manager and chart the course. They are wizards at helping you reach your goals, it’s what they went to college for, take advantage of their knowledge. They will get you there, mine is getting me there.

Lol I withhold at the single rate, otherwise I don’t have enough taxes taken out. Tax cuts for sad, lonely men I guess could be discussed, but how is your lack of prowess the problem of everyone else that pays in taxes for schools they don’t send kids to, roads and bridges they will never drive, and waterways they will never drink from? Wanting fellow humans to have the basics, even if you can’t find a woman to touch you with a 10’ pole, is just basic decency. I know that those parents with kids…

Who is “you”? I pay more in taxes than I have ever received back in returns. I’ve never been on social services nor not paid school and property taxes since I bought my first home in my early 20’s. I’m seriously asking are you planning on not taking advance of or using any public services if you are not issued a woman and decide you need a tax break because your dick is dry?

So how do you think this lottery of women for tax paying men would work? Auction block? Conscription? Do you also pledge to not drive on roads, fly on airlines, use any public works including gas, electric and water if you don’t have to pay taxes because you can’t find a date and aren’t issued a woman? Seriously? I can’t tell if this is satire.

Of course people who attend church regularly have a lower divorce rate, if you’re unhappy or mismatched you are still going to stay in that situation because your entire world is wrapped up in that church. You risk losing family, friends, your social standing The trick is finding that church going virgin and never let them out of the church life. Will take a lot of work on the partners part if they aren’t particularly dedicated or super religious but it works much of the time, according to that …

I'd be interested to know how many men actually get a date, or a second date, treating the women they interact with as "less than". Wonder if there's a statistic on that.

I don't know that I've ever sat and thought about my socialization growing up, and how it affected my views on men, but I'd have to say yes, it did. My parents were not particularly religious, my dad always told me that I didn't have to marry and have kids if I didn't want to, my mother never talked bad about boys/men. Maybe because she had brothers whom she genuinely loved and all grew up to be good men, and a brother in law she thought the world of. I have always liked men in general, still do…

I think we do learn and develop. I wasn’t a single mom until I divorced my ex but I never noticed being “out of options” and I don’t think many women do. We’re either taking a breather from the dating scene, or dating if that’s what we want 🤷🏻‍♀️

Women are emotional and erratic? Have you read any of the comments by some of the men in this sub? Fragile and angry, many of them, while some women are saying “okay you don’t want to date women, then don’t 🤷🏻‍♀️” it’s not rocket science. If we’re that bad then find something else to do with your time. We’re good.

I know this is going to be shocking, but in real life, in the outside world, all men aren’t assholes and some women know how to adult. Go figure 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usually that’s from being too young to actually have any kind of intuition developed. I wasn’t a single mom, but I did marry a narcissist way too young. He looked great on the surface, and I was too young to know any better. Women get older and wiser, hopefully. Then they are able to make better choices, or choose not to choose. Whatever works for them.

Are you saying women develop mental issues from enjoying random hookups?

What's unethical about consensual polyamory? Honestly I've looked at your comment a few times and cannot figure out the "walked into a church" thing. What does that have to do with anything? You're not waving some "holy" flag at others whose sex life has nothing to do with you and your apparent "church walking", are you? Odd, if you are.

Men don’t. If they don’t want to, if that’s not their style then they certainly shouldn’t. If a woman doesn’t like that style then she moves along, pretty easy, actually. Everyone should do what they’re comfortable with.

If you feel like romance is a waste of time for someone who already likes you then no you shouldn't, because she won't like you long.

I think it's very reasonable to let women pursue, and we do when we meet a man we want to get to know better...or just have a ONS with. There's no reason for a man "throw themselves" at a woman, if we are interested we'll let you know then you can decide what you'll do with that information.

May not be what you’re looking for, but for me a strong man and a deep voice, along with a big dick and the confidence/knowledge how to use them are key. I’m small, 5’1”, and fairly slightly built so the bigger a man is, the hotter he is. And I don’t mean muscle wise, I’m more attracted to the tall dudes with the dad bods. Give me wide shoulders, some cushion in the middle, a beard and a voice deep enough to rattle window and I’m done for.

First husband was a virgin, and spent too many years being mad at me that I wasn’t. Yes, I realized that he was shit in bed but new found evangelical garbage kept me around for too long. Second husband had much more experience, guess what, he’s the bomb in bed. Knowing how to fuck is a BIG plus for the long term. I didn’t and don’t care what his count was, I find it hot to know how much experience he’s had. Tell me about them, I’ll tell you about mine and together we’ll take all that experience …

Agreed. With IVF a woman doesn’t even need to know a man to have a child, if she chooses, so they’re superfluous to women as far as that goes. Batteries are a thing so we definitely don’t need men to get off or make the smoke detector work. Two of the best repair persons and welders I’ve ever met were women, so men not needed there. So men don’t need women and we don’t need men in our lives. Just on the periphery somewhere as sleek donors, if kids are your thing.

Handle your own shit. Your own emotions, Money, boundaries, life in general. Be happy in your own company, secure enough in yourself to have compassion for others, make your own phone calls and appointments 🙄. Have the ability to function in daily life, talk to people, be a contributing member of whatever society you exist in. Listen, be interested, be present, don’t wait through a conversation just to respond with your attempts to make it about you.

Singleness isn’t the “shame” you think it is. Partnering up isn’t necessary for many women anymore. If we do, it’s because we ran into someone who lives up to where we are. Handle your own shit, know who you are and where you’re going, and many of us are cool to go along. Some aren’t, and that’s good, too. But a man or a dick doesn’t change who we are as people, no matter the age. Even those gasp 30somethings. Hard to believe, I know. If we “pump and dump” as you so eloquently put it, a good tim…
