I am sceptical as you but I believe that the pussypass they got was that they got on the show without being funnier than other male comedians out there, trying to being pc. The denied was when they weren't funny and the male got a joke out of it. They tried to have a scientific discussion, it failed because they are comedians, not scientists. That's my shot.
