Yeah I am 27 and can't fathom being a close friend to someone in their late teens or early 20s...Simply due to the chasm between our stages in life. That's why it's hard for me to imagine why someone 30+ would be keen on dating a late teen or a 20 yo seriously. Not gonna attack em for it, it's legal and all that, but my personal opinion is that there are clearly different stages in adulthood.

Yeah I've interacted with significantly older people in my early twenties if that's what you're asking. Yeah, I am still in touch here and there with a college professor but we aren't close friends. Yeah, I've had older colleagues but we were just acquaintances. I edited my post, because I was talking about close friendships. I don't see people inviting their ex professor or older coworker out to a bar with their best buddies. That is what I was referring to.

I never see it around me in real life. When I say big age gap, I mean a decade or more, every friend group I was in, or those of other people I know of, tend to be groups of relativly similar age ranges.

Interesting. I was befriended by a group of late teenagers as a mid twenties person, and as lovely people as I'm surr they were, I really could feel the difference in thinking and different stages in life.

Yes, I think that is a pretty good analogy. A lot of people will take complaints from the opposite gender as personal attacks as if they are expected to solve them, even if the person complaining isn't necessarily asking them to.

Except you left out the other part of my sentence which indicated that yes, some women do also feel apprehension towards mutual understanding and empathy due to the feeling of indebtedness, if I must fully elaborate. I mean yeah ultimately I think most people, including women, do tend to feel empathy towards these men, but what they hate feeling is the indebtedness which a lot of these spaces make them feel I openly admitted that I haven't been frequenting these subs and posts you mentioned (whi…

Not sure if animals process love the same way humans do, but there are animals who mate for life, it's common with a lot of bird species but some mammals do it too. Typically these species will stay with their partner until death does them part or until one of them dies, some of them might look for another partner, but will never do it unless one of them literally dies.

I'm sorry, I have never really been much on TwoX, FDS and other female subs people tend to mention here. I have been on PPD a couple of years ago before mgtow, redpill, femcel subs were banned and I got the general idea that a lot of one-gender communities tend to circlejerk a lot and present the opposite sex in the most uncharitable way possible which is why I avoid such communities. I haven't noticed anything bad about male loneliness on TwoX, but then again, I've only seen a very small portio…

This aspiration by men is built on their presumption that a woman fiercely loves only once in her life. Uhhhh we're not frigging penguins, human female sexuality is a lot more complex.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:29 PM

Yeah and even if women gave them a "pity fuck", only a man stands to gain something from it, because society would label her a slut. There is nothing in it for women to give sexual favors to men out of charity, moreover, it harms them.

I mean yeah ultimately I think most people, including women, do tend to feel empathy towards these men, but what they hate feeling is the indebtedness which a lot of these spaces make them feel, because women posses the "key" out of male sexlessness and loneliness.

Nah...I think it depends where you live. Slim/thin/fit is pretty much the norm where I live so that doesn't help much lol. You do see chubby women but genuinely obese ones are rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 02:05 PM

Well if fat/ugly chicks get laid, that is on the men showing them attention so it isn't the woman's fault? Most women are aware of what (most) men generally like and what their standards are (well groomed, pretty face, nice figure, fit), and most try their best to embody it pretty accurately, from what I've seen in most countries I've been to. I am from Eastern Europe though, where the beauty standards for women are fairly high, so you know, I probably can't relate to all women everywhere lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 01:56 PM

There are a lot of factors that come into play though. Because if children are in the picture, housework is a lot tougher.

You can't claim that while at the same time admonishing women for calling their plus-sized friends "pluz-sized kweens" and therefore accepting women who don't fit the male beauty standard. Because either we are too inter competitive or we are too accepting of each other's flaws, can't have it both ways. The general beauty standards for women still generally falls in line with what men want. (completely shaven body, well groomed, nice hair, good looking figure, nice clothes etc.)

wanted to know if women genuinely think that smarts is going to get them a rich guy. Right, sorry, misunderstood the crux of your question. Mostly I would say no, I do also see the trophy wife pattern. (for which you generally only need looks) But there are examples of affluent men dating women around their age.

That, and there aren't that many of those men to go around, it simply won't be a viable option for every woman, even if she is gorgeous.

Nah, I wouldn't have, I'd still go to college, I am introverted and don't like networking constantly, which is necessary if you want to "invest in your looks" and by that I assume you mean finding a fairly wealthy man. Not to mention that you do kind of have to be an above-average woman for that and there's only so many genuinely wealthy men to go around. It is up to me to decide what I think is the best decision for myself at a current point in my life, and it is up to the men to decide if they…

Well by your own definition, men who go for women outside of their league would also be considered "egomaniacs"

Sure, go for them, no need to justify your dating preferences, go for any woman you'd like as long as it's consensual. I would say that there is a bit of irony in the manosphere that men are highly encouraged to go for the hottest possible woman despite the man himself "talking the talk but not walking the walk" while women who try to attract the highest possible man are considered "Chadsexual" and "egocentric". In short, men are encouraged to aim higher and believe that extremely hot girl will …

Sure go for them, no need to justify your preferences, date whomever you like as long as it's consentual. I’d even go as far as to say that the lesser attractive woman will resent you more as she will know that she settled whereas of the attractive woman accepts you chances are that she could’ve landed an objectively higher value male so there’s something about you that stuck out. Not sure how much I agree with this part though, I mean if a woman likes you she likes you whether she is average or…

I have dated a man 3 years younger (27 right now). Age was never that big of a deal to me tbh (of course I would never go for huge age gaps like above 5 or 10 years, I would still find it creepy even if it was a woman going for college boys) So yeah there are women (and men) who don't care much about age. For those who do, I guess there's no point trying to convince them otherwise lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 11:22 AM

It isn't. But society is prejudiced and people are in general (which is why you'll see men on this sub admonishing women for NOT being virgins.)

It's a trend for sure, but there are men with money who pursue women around their own age as well. I have no issues about men pursuing whomever they want these days honestly, as long as both parties are consenting. I do have a problem when men call older women "leftovers", "bitter", "disgusting" etc. There have been men I wasn't attracted to but I bever called them names. Having a preference is one thing while insulting someone is another.

18-40? Then why do many men claim that women "expire" by 30 and that they're undateable past that point. Some even say 25.

Sure, but arent men also shitting on older women a lot? Having a preference is one thing, shitting on women for not being attractive enough and unworthy of a man is another.

Except it's not really an equivalent comparison. Height and age are different categories. If humans didn't develop cognitively at all during their life with age I'd be okay with a 45 year old dating a 16 year old but the thing is people do develop both physically and cognitively therefore that might create a power imbalance. It's not about the age gap but the actual age and the age gap combined. I mean our prefrontal cortexes don't develop fully until 25. That being said, date whomever you wish,…

I honestly think they're LARPing, or just doing young sex workers. I really don't think that these opinions reflect society as a whole, I mean the average age gap in US and Europe is about 2.5-3 years. I think these opinions are mainstream in redpill and other fringe communities online but I don't see them reflected in society as a whole.

I genuinely don't care who you date, if you are 40+ dating a 20yo woman I might have concerns but I won't stop you from datibg them. I do dislike the incredible vitriol men have towards older women though.

The first one we know is false, women "ornate themselves" for other women, as a form of intrasexual competition, I'm sorry, as poorly worded as this post is, what you claim here is extremely false and just doesn't make any sense. I have simply never noticed this phenomenon in society, it makes no sense for women to dress themselves to compete with other women without a context of getting a man, because what would the goal of the competition otherwise be? That’s because you’re annoyed that there is some truth in the statement, even if it’s only ever so slightly true. No, quite the opposite, It's usually people who claim to know the "truth" that will be inflexible in accepting grains of truth that don't match with their own ideology.

Frankly, we can't make such broad assumptions when speaking about a general demographic of people. I'm sure that controlling guys who go for them for those reasons do exist but I think there are factors that impact this discussion a lot. I think an important factor to take into account is how much younger...and how much older?... I can understand liking young attractive women...but there is a threshold of common sense and understanding of the maturity level of a person who is extremely young, an…

Yeah because they don't classify anger as an emotion. They also have a misunderstanding of how emotions and rationality works, it's often not either/or. My favorite was watching a RP woman excusing men committing violent crime as “that’s just testosterone.” I refuse to believe that most of them aren't grifters who just wanna make money. No, I am not asking why you aren't into being objectified, but why do you expect to not be objectified while in your entire post, you objectify a woman's role in a relationship? Women who are expected to be solely homemakers and primary child caretakers expect men to be providers, I don't understand why it is hard for you to grasp that "objectification" goes both ways when it comes to gender roles. If you want a housewife, you need to be able to support her, how is that hard to understand?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 01:41 PM

When women say they would like to be provided for and be stay-at-home moms and "caretakers", men think women are sacrificing their hopes, dreams and freedom to serve them and to cook and clean, but they don't realize that these women actually like doing that kind of stuff because it's at their mental level, and they're not interested in being free if it means not having a man be a provider for them. To be fully transparent, the women who love being homemakers and fully wish to embrace that role,…

My point wasn't about an ideology itself being radical but about people being radical about an ideology. Every movement has radical individuals. Edit: Also yes, the Blue pill you described just now sounds radical, but the issue is that Blue pill doesn't exist a a concept outside of the context of red pill so it is very hard to define. But yes of course you can be radical in your "Blue pill" views.

I am culturally and politically left-leaning. I believe there is still work to be done to achieve equality for many groups, including women. My beef is the lack of room for discussion around any issue involving women, including heterosexual romance. I think my views are pretty similar to this. I have pretty much been left-leaning my entire life, but I can acknowledge that these spaces can sometimes ignore the biological differences between men and women, and heterosexual relationship dynamics.

No pill woman, but yeah I guess I would label myself as purple pill too, it works. Essentially to answer your question: Yes, I do believe that men's and women's sexual urges are different biologically and that it is generally harder for a man to get sex or access to a relationship. It is helpful to work on yourself physically/emotionally/cognitively to ensure a good quality partner ( although I think both men and women should be doing this anyway for their own health and well-being) Women do lik…

Yeah but in order for that to happen, a person would have to acknowledge and be aware of the fact that their beliefs aren't ironclad truths but are just that. Axioms. How many people on this sub are aware of this? I'd say maybe 10% based on the way people argue.

Sure, it isn't a good feeling. But to clarify, the fundamental aspect of that is I don't feel pity in a sense like...Men who are doormats should be pitied because their existence is shameful. But pity in a sense, I wish these men would be able to have a partner, and be happy, but I also understand that women shouldn't just force themselves to be with them. It isn't a good emotion, I agree, nobody should be pitied, but hopefully this nuance explained the feeling better. At least that is how I fee…

No. Why would I hate someone just for being weak? Just because I might not be attracted to someone who has 0 confidence and is too scared to talk to me out of fear of rejection doesn't mean I hate them, Jesus. I don't know why men love this type of rage fuel insisting that women must HATE an x type of man, most of it is projection because men are for the most part the ones who hate lack of power and inferiority. That analogy makes no sense. Men have an option of not having sex either, I didn't know women can get pregnant by themselves. Also what if a woman gets pregnant after non-consentual sex? Should she be punished for two decades of her life because she didn't choose to have sex but was forced anyway?

I live in a conservative 2nd world country, you are not eligible to tell me how many of my rights have been met. Also I wasn't making a point about female human rights being met or not but that you were comparing rights to sex/relationships. Again: if women don't owe men anything, it goes the same way towards women. You wanted it this way, not me. Aside from basic human respect and being friendly towards each other, what else is there to be owed? If you think women owe men sex then just say it a…

This is old data. If you say to men "shut up, nobody owes you anything", that de-integrates men from society and causes them to internalize their problems (pretty much the definition of toxic masculinity in feminist theory). So what is your solution to this? State-mandated girlfriends? Nobody is saying men can't talk about their problems, yes, being single sucks sometimes and can be lonely, but you guys always talk about it as if women are collectively making choices to screw you over. No. Women like sex, Everyone likes sex. Yes, it's a different experience, but I don't think the differences in sexual urges are that vastly different. Yes, I do believe that testosterone leads to a bigger libido and urge to have sex. But for the most part, what I've noticed from personal experience is that women take longer to get ready to have sex and need a lot more prepping. This made me think about how Western men will berate Western women for being fat but most of them aren't doing much better on average. Like idk what ya'll eat in the West (particularly US) and what you put in your food, and I'm not saying this to shame people, people can look however they want and we shouldn't all be an XS or n S size but your average isn't the common average in most other countries.

The issue is ultimately that there is no one universal truth in life. Most people here don't really want their view to be challenged, they just want to state their own view and prove that they're right. Also a lot of people will create self fullfilling prophecies for themselves in their life. Is being attractive an advantage in life? Of course it is. How can I, a single individual, talk to every individual feminist and address their blindspots? That is so not true, most women I know in their twenties have long term relationships. What usually happens is women will generally have several long term relationships that might lead to marriage or might break, in general we can't control what the outcome of every relationship is gonna be but this idea that if a woman is 30+ and single it must be because she didn't have any long term commitments has always been so weird to me, as if the assumption always is that if you are single a day past 30…

I'm not denying that they do, but from my experience, it doesn't happen on a daily basis, and in a lot of cases you are going to have to call a professional, also not sure if millennial/Gen Z men do it much. That could be true for some couples, I'm not denying that there are men who contribute half of the housework. But a lot of housework is invisible labour people don't talk about so that might be a factor as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 09:55 PM

Yes it did, it just wasn't talked about enough, but many millennial and gen z women have watched their mothers struggle their entire lives doing 24/7 labor, a good chunk of which was completely unpaid. My mother worked at a slightly more intense 9-5 job than my dad and still did most of the managing around the house and child-rearing. 50-50 only applies to both women and men being employed and bringing in the salary, but from my experience every married couple I know, women do all the mental labor around the household and the children. Sure men participate from time to time but it's still the women who organize and plan for everything. Ultimately if you are considered low quality by society your choices are to either settle for someone of your own caliber or opt-out. Idk I don't mind men who have higher standards or men who opt out. There's nothing inherently harmful about it, but I did always find it distasteful when they, in the same token, demonize women who opt out of dating for whatever reason. The narrative in the manosphere is usually that when men opt out, the system/women are at fault, but when women opt out, they are too picky. People can opt-out for various reasons and that's ok.
