But I will commend you on ardently gatekeeping "equality" in the name of defending misandry.

That's funny bc their header just says "the feminism community on Reddit". So either it's a space for women bc feminism is for women, or you're still full of shit.

Feminism is just for women? That's absolutely the opposite of what they tell everyone.

"It's clear that decarceration efforts are leaving women behind". Yes, in the over incarceration of men, women are once again the real victims.

Honestly I don't want a potential partner to try to play mom any more than I'd want my ex's new partners to try to play dad. You obviously can't be in a relationship with a man forever without also being in his kids' lives but it's 100% ok to tell men that you want your relationship with the children to be one where you're just a nice adult who is empathetic and nice to the kids without taking on a parental role. Bc honestly not every kid wants a new mom or new dad and it's important to respect …

20 years, 100 years or 1000 years doesn't matter in the face of the fact that it's a 100% subjective anecdote which aims to tell me how they should feel and act.

That post is horrible, it makes so many assumptions and then applies a one size fits all moral judgement (while claiming to not do that), it's self indulgence where none is needed.

She can't "let" you see your child. He's your child as much as he is hers. Be assertive about that.

Wow, you should have your taxes looked into by a tax attorney. Obviously I don't know how you've been filing but an illegal marriage could have implications on any years you filed jointly or claimed her as a dependent.

Look man, I'm going to be very frank with you, the reason she gets half is because until you two decided to divorce the plan that you both shared was for you to earn a retirement savings for the BOTH of you. Just bc you've decided to divorce doesn't mean your wife can travel back in time and and start earning her own retirement fund, she's lost that time and that opportunity forever bc of what you both agreed to. What you're trying to do is in bad faith and WILL come back on you, I wouldn't even…

This is the best advice here, be honest, tell her what you told us, and if she can't meet you on that then a divorce is probably best for both of you. You so you won't feel neglected and pushy, and her so she won't feel pressured and taken advantage of.

The only thing that can cure you of that faster than just giving it time is to have a relapse and hook up with her and that's a terrrrrrrrrrrrible idea. First hand experience talking here, excuse the language but that post-nut clarity came with an avalanche of negative memories from the relationship and how nasty she got with the divorce. I've never felt so dumb in my entire life and that's really saying something. Just wait it out man, you'll move on and move up. Better things await you.

It's tough, man. Mine is going on my credit card and bankruptcy is likely in my future. It's just a byproduct of the other party choosing to be negative and make things nasty. But that too shall pass.

Not unless you both go that route and it doesn't sound like she will, so you just have to buckle up and mind your p's and q's. It sucks, I'm going through it right now, but it's just how it happens sometimes.

Dont leave your home and children, it'll come back on you in the divorce. If she wants someone gone, let her leave.

That sub blows my mind. "Why am I not succeeding in finding a man? Maybe this man hating subreddit can help me with that!"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
