Please elaborate on how one should describe one's gender matching their sex if I'm articulating that poorly. if they do turn out to be very masculine, but it's being villainized by the parents. I agree here. If parents are suppressing the personalities of their children, something is wrong and it should be addressed. The point of raising a child in this way is that families raise their children in neutral ways, and allow their children to decide their own gender. Raising children in a cisnormative way can be harmful if a children does end up being transgender. Raising a child in a gender neutral way isn't going to suddenly make someone transgender if they weren't born that way, and very few people are raising children in this way. Neither does the one you linked. These people simply appear to be raising their child in a way that allows the children to grow up free of assigned gender prejudices. I would have been much happier in a home where I wasn't expected to do certain tasks simply because of my sex.
