I don't understand how lying about gender until after sex is not considered full-on rape. This must have been biased sample selection, making it entirely invalid.

In many Christian traditions, this bait-and-switch is grounds for divorce, and I support it. Doesn't mean one must, but they are allowed.

Not scientific or statistical, but it is so distressing hearing how many people have had this experience. They go to a female doctor or therapist and are ignored or mocked, but go to a male therapist who takes them seriously and tries to help. Women are naturally more social and empathetic, so how effed have many women become that they override that so easily? The male thing is less surprising. We are there to do a job and are more goal-oriented. Come to us with a problem, and it's solution, whe…

Which is odd since, regardless of which legend you subscribe to, it was a teenage girl who started the witch hunt at Salem. Just a couple of the legends: She and her friends were caught attempting to make a skry glass using a glass bowl and eggs, and she blamed witches for brainwashing her She was involved with a married man and, when he broke it off to try to restore his marriage, she got mad and started the accusations for both vengeance and to protect her own reputation She was pining after t…

I would like to point out that, due to lawsuits regarding religion, US courts have long since decided that schools, being funded and regulated by government, are representative of government. As a result, teachers cannot enforce religion on students. Likewise, it should be equally applied in due process and free speech. The situation of student receiving a penalty for an alleged crime with no discussion or hearing that, had he lived, still would have destroyed his life should be responded to wit…

While men can continue to have children clear through our lifespan, it is also true that there is reduced motility and viability. Motility is the individual sperm's ability to move. The vaginal canal is an inhospitable place, so they have to move quickly. If they can't move in a straight line or are slow, they won't survive. Viability is it's ability to produce a healthy offspring. This can be because the sperm itself cannot survive the journey because it's membrane isn't strong enough, it canno…

It depends. There are a lot of areas that allow women to go topless, but stigma and self-consciousness stop them.

Not particularly. Closest would be "ugly" guys, and it comes in the form of accusations of manipulation or, in some cases, rape as they couldn't possibly be appealing to anyone.

The claim that men criticize emotion in each other is false. A few do, but most of us just consider the situation. Of we are sotting around a bonfire with beers, tellong stories, and you start crying about your late friend, I might start singing, "See You Again" and be ready to gove you a hug if you want it.

I should clarify that it was the West that isolated it as a women's issue. While the lritest broke out after a young girl was brutalized, the women refused to do the women's chant and included men, knowing their sons, brothers, fathers, and husbands were also being brutalized in ways we in the West struggle to comprehend.

It is possible. First, she has to see him as "in-group" and everyone else as "out-group". Historically, this was typical. She was given away, and her whole life centered around him and their children. Now, women are taught to take care of themselves first, and any prospective suitors have to accept being #2 at best. However, as marriage requires some sort of sacrifice, and her friend group probably doesn't, it requires she think of someone else, and thus he may be lucky to slide in at #6 or #7, …

I read it, and it is extremely simplistic, but still valuable for the average person. Thing I noticed (as a layperson to whom people go to discuss emotional and relationship issues) is it seems to coincide with how they received the greatest and most vulnerable expressions. I knew one guy whose mom was huge on quality time and words of affirmation. They were too poor for gifts, and work was a chore or duty, not an expression. In fact, if work wasn't done well, regardless of intent, it could stil…

As an aside, there were protests in Iran several years ago after a young girl was murdered by the regime. In a subsequent protest for the death of a boy, government agents tried to shift it to women's issues instead of murder. The crowd wasn't having it and began chanting both in favor of men and women. Even the women. THAT is how equality works, not silencing men's issues in favor of women's.

The claim that woman-led businesses foster better work environments is peculiar to me. In my career, I have had to deal with a lot of businesses, bot male and female led, and one thing has been universally true so far: there is a massive amout of spite and in-fighting in woman-led companies, to the point that I've had reps tell me not to renew the contract because of the toxicity in their work environment. I want to know what standard is used when they say "better work environments" and similar.

He was pulled over because he matched the description of a white guy who stole a car, in spite of the fact that he was riding a bike. While being questioned, they found weed in his bag and arrested. He said the judge heard the claim from the prosecutor and kept looking between him and the picture of the culprit, commenting they may have made a small mistake. So, yeah, he's white passing. And that's gotten him arrested and pulled over several times.

It seems they started with their in-group/out-group dichotomy, made the outgroup the central power and the in-group their victims, then threw in something that looked like a middle ground. Seriously, what is "White Passing?" I have a friend whose parents are both black (dark brown, really) but he is lighter than me (of Saxon ancestry). Does he qualify as "white-passing?" Or are these more arbitrary labels put on to give a name to demonize or glorify when things don't go their way?

That is not the only thing that triggers fear. First time, social stigma, self-image can all trigger fear. If it doesn't live up to the promise, how long before it's used to pumish the men? Revication of consent after the fact is something that has been done in the USA already. One instance was in California, where the woman revoked consent the next morning after her friends found out and mocked her. While the details are lost to me, the initial court ruled it rape. If fear becomes the sole meas…

At one time I would have agreed with him. However, greed, vanity, and self-indulgence has been shown to be the main force behind modern feminist pushes, leading women to take advantage of men. I will still pay for my sife, but all other women can get bent.

My wife used to resist my having a beard. She legit thought I would climb the corporate ladder and a beard would prevent that. Well, we went through a rough patch and I just said, eff it. I am growing one. Now, she wants it trimmed and clean, but never wants it gone again. I converted her.

I am thrilled that the laws are catching up to reality. I think that, as these changes are made, a few others should be. In cases where alimony is still awarded, cap it at a percentage of pre-divorce earnings. Why should she benefit from him being free to pursue better career opportunities? If she leaves him while he makes 100k, she shouldn't have any right to any of the added income when he strikes it big with an idea she crapped on for years.

Slide 6 was so telling. We always hear about how language influences perception through the lens of women and POC, but never discuss how it impacts men. I just went through orientation for a new job and thought for sure I would be inundated with inclusion and anti-harassment content that focused on men as the aggressors and women as the victims. While the examples still skewed that way, they did an okay job reflecting the reverse, as well as same-sex interactions.

Shows like that are subject to the same bs that any media is: the bias of its producers, directors, and casting team. The, without a doubt, hand select the toughest women they can find and the most unstable men. Then, to help support it, they undoubtedly direct them to give this image. Wasn't there a big hoopla at one point about one of those survivor-type shows giving the women extra resources and sending crew to help them? I may be misremembering.

In a weird twist, the article immediately following this one when I read was about four men getting a combined sentence of 90 years for smuggling cocaine into UK. The longest was 26 years, the shortest 18. Why would UK be more stern with drug smugglers than Texas, of all places, on a sex offender? Gender surely has something to do with it, but how often do you hear of anyone going away for 26 years for SA of a minor?

As it is using human-written texts as source material, it does speak in human boice. I was using it to hash out ideas and outlines for a biblical psychology book, and it kept referencing "us", such as, "we were made in the image of God." My first thought was, "um, no. You were not." So "our bodies" is not particularly discrediting to me.

Okay, so I may have a suggestion on this. Disclaimer: this is my interpretation of generally understood concepts, and is not the result of any specific research. As mammals, we have certain gender-specific characteristics. For example, men were created/evolved to be protectors, as we are not the carriers of houng, so have inherent aggression beyond females. This aggression, instead of being a negative characteristic, actually drives us to pursue opportunities in the face of inevitable obstacles.…

Only moderately related: A buddy of mine opened a door to a room that was supposed to be empty and found a woman with 4 guys. She dropped a johnson from her mouth only long enough to yell, "I'm not a slut!" I ponder the cultural significance of that often.

One day, something bad will happen, and she will convince her friends and the world that evil man once again hurt an innocent woman. Even though she spends her life hurting others. One day, she'll do this to the wrong guy, and instead of shaming her online, he'll get creepily quiet. Then, she'll come home from work, or blowing a rando for percocet, and find him standing in her living room with 30 ft of rope, drain cleaner, a spray bottle, and a camera tripod. Thing is, height is not a reflection of anything but genes coded for height combined with early childhood nutrition. Many short guys have been demonstrated to be incredible athletes and professionals. My dad, himself not real tall, used to tell stories of one of his drill sergeants. The guy was maybe 4'11" and took on a mouthy 6'3" recruit who decided he didn't need to listen to a tiny guy. DS laid out tall guy within seconds, on him like an angry spider monkey. I don't follow him, so I know nothing about him, but I can't agree. I think if a person is going to suffer, it should be for the things they actually do, not because they are standing next to narcissistic manhater and caught in the crossfire. He really ought to be offended, really, since this may suggest that they never intended him to win any awards.

A lot of people miss a big point: Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were not in competition. To make it sound like there is some BS happening is to completely fuxking neglect that Margot Robbie is an actress...in a female category... competing against other women. Gosling wasn't in that category. She couldn't get "Best Supporti g Actor." Greta is in yet another category altogether. Dimwitted, mouthbreathing, virtue signaling, rockbiters.

You need 2 lawyers, bud: divorce and immigration. If your lawyer can help build the case that this was fraud on her end, they may rescind her paperwork and deport her. In the US, my wife and I were warned about this when I brought her in. (We have been married for nearly 13 years, so I was lucky.) Get the lawyers ASAP, before she does something that costs you.

Body cams are inherently an imperfect world device. It, as well as other monitoring and surveillance equipment, only exist because bad people exist, they will do bad things, and they will get away with it often enough without these devices. This goes for the everyman on the street at risk of being called a rapist as well as for cops (regardless of who does something wrong).

Two points to address everything you put here. First, it doesn't matter the population differences between male and female rulers as there are a number of statistical analyses that compensate for that (t-test and chi square come to mind). You can also verify validity by altering the two populations to see the difference it makes on the results. Less change likely means greater validity as it shows none of them have a significant effect on the results on their own. Then, the researchers address t…

Apologies, I didn't mean it as a hard statistic. It is based on a rumored (not verified by myself) survey that claims an obscene percentage of women on dating apps are hooking up with a ridiculously low percentage if men, leaving the rest untouched. My numbers are off from the claims and the claims themselves may be off. I just used it to make a point: the lonely masses won't have any effect unless they are allied with those that are active.

Like everybody else says, you are not being whiney. There is a lot on mens shoulders. We are built to bear it but we still need rest and destress. Hobbies, vacation, silent contemplation are all vital activities we should never neglect. Get clean from the alcohol, start improving aspects of yourself one at a time, and find a peer group that will both encourage and reinforce your pursuits as well as your masculinity. Take care, brother.
