I'm not sure you understood the point. I am not saying that the scale should be tilted in anyway. I am saying that the original post from Microsoft doesn't say what the OP thinks it is saying. The Microsoft report seems to be talking about averages. If you take two populations (let's say salaries for men and women), and you collect data on them, the average value isn't going to tell you immediately whether there is a real meaningful difference. The average could fluctuate due to pure chance (e.g…

The solution is a negotiated peace agreement- both ends up with something less than their maximal demands. This would look something like: 1) Palestinians get a state of their own in Gaza and the west bank 2) Israel stays a state for the Jews- they give up settlements in the west bank 3) Jerusalem is somehow shared with both getting free access to holy sites the details are difficult to manage. It has been tried, and the negotiations failed. But the alternatives are all worse, and so that needs …

I admit I’m not an expert on the law- but mathematics is something I know a little bit about. This seems to be saying that on average women get 1.007 per 1.000 earned by a white male. But since the number is an average of many salaries- it is not surprising that the average is not exactly the same. You need to know if the salary is really higher (e.g. due to some discrimination) or if this is just a meaningless variation. They don’t include any statistics to be able to say- but the difference se…

If I understand this correctly- then it means they are all being paid essentially the same. So a white male earning 100,000 a year, whereas a female in the same position would earn on average 100,700 a year. My guess is that this isn’t a statistically significant difference (essentially it means they are paying equally on average)

Well- that’s useful-. Useful to see someone push back, and useful to understand just how many people are ok with (and openly support) genocide

Aren’t her coaches (current and former) as well as her agent all men? It doesn’t detract from her success, but don’t these men contribute to her success?

And how many women voted for presidents and senators who explicitly vowed to put in justices that would outlaw abortion? I agree that women have lost some rights, but you can’t blame men as a group for it.

There is a double standard, absolutely, but…I think there are two points we as men should consider. 1) There is no shame in hair loss. It can feel embarrassing, but it shouldn’t be. A lot of men look good despite, sometimes because of the hair loss, embrace it. We can take pride in all the wise and intelligent men throughout history who were bald. 2) The idea that ‘shaming’ is bad, is not a great idea in my opinion when it applies to things in our control and that impact our health.l (e.g. weigh…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
