It's because all the people who vote either didn't have to sign up or signed up so long ago that it isn't even on their radar. And the people who see the requirement coming aren't even allowed to vote. And honestly, the principle is bad but in practice the burden is so small that not a lot of people care.

I read the text of the dear colleague letter and it uses gender-neutral language and in fact specifically mentions male victim statistics so at worst it's just anti-due process, not specifically anti-men's rights. I'm not sure what policy "wage gap" is but people wanting a new equal pay law are fringe. As for Hillary's policy, she's not a politician anymore and besides, I can't really fault a woman for advocating for women. "Overall treatment" is too vague to respond to. VAWA is also gender-neut…

As a white male I've never felt like that. The democratic party does not have a feminist agenda. Lots of feminists are democrats but that doesn't mean they're the same thing. If you feel the way the OP feels, then in my opinion you've been affected by right-wing propaganda. EDIT: anyone who can explain why anti-men's rights policies are the result of the democratic party's platform instead of people whom you disagree witg who happen to democrats, I'd like to hear it because I just don't see it.

Sorry to present an opposing opinion but I think that the ends (a delayed confirmation of Kavanaugh) justify the means (pressuring the republicans into allowing an investigation) in this case. Sorry, it's not my proudest opinion.

I agree with the sentiment of this post 100%. For the sake of discussion, if men and women are to have equal reproductive rights, how shall disputes about having a child be arbitrated? If one parent wants an abortion and the other doesn't, how can society address that impasse? It seems like a very difficult problem.
