Not surprised they drop the first-degree murder charge, premeditation is not something that jumps to mind when I heard this because I generally assume it's some sort of domestic situation that spiraled. Yes you caused it, but gives a lawyer some leeway to argue about how excessive the force was. In no way should Mixon ave hit her that hard, or at all. But saying he broke that many bones is incorrect, he hit her hard enough to knock her down, subsequently causing more injury as she struck the table.
