Exactly. If you hire a money manager, who has carte blanche to invest your money or whatever, does that mean they're in a position of power over you? Of course not. Because it's obvious the "power" is one level lower than who is making the decision with what to do with the money. All this feminist horseshit focuses on the wrong level. It's such a naive view of "power." I don't think it's as simple as "women have all the real power" or anything like that, though. But it's clear women do and have …

If I hire someone to manage my money, do they have the power or do I? But they make all the decisions with what to do with the money!!! They're in a heckin' position of power over the money!
/r/MensRights10/07/26 04:34 PM

So your argument is basically that because men "get pussy" (ejaculate to porn) for essentially doing nothing (looking at porn) they expect that same thing to play out in the real world and get mad when it doesn't?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:19 PM

It seems like it would reward porn use, not pursuing women. Anyway, I don't understand what that has to do with OP's point.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:06 PM

So why don't we see more young men going into pizza delivery and plumbing?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 07:02 PM

That doesn't mean they're dumb enough to think porn is real life. If they do, why don't we see more young men going into pizza delivery and plumbing?

I had a friend whose ex was an absolutely monster and he stayed with her for years. Like, he'd go out to get her dinner just for her, forget to get a fork, and she would absolutely unload on him, like all-out screaming at the top of her lungs. I saw it with my own eyes. And that was what she was like when me and my then-gf were around.

The funny thing is that "not all men, but always a man" is a legitimate claim you could make about certain altruistic displays of heroism, whereas the claim that something like murder/rape/torture is always a man is just flagrantly false.

My breakup with my gf of 10 years was way more acutely painful (and by acute I don't mean brief) than living with my mother who has been slowly succumbing to Alzheimer's for the past 9 years. It was 13 years ago and I still dream about it on a weekly basis, despite having absolutely nothing to do with her since almost day 1, not even looking at a picture of her. I completely relate to what he's saying. It's almost like an vicious spiral of betrayal. Because the fact that one person who was suppo…

How about this case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd0M3YCXgMg Lady enlists her female friend to help poison her husband. That fails. So she gets her male friend to bring her a gun and uses it to shoot her husband. The female friend isn't charged with anything. The wife gets 16 years in prison. And the male friend who gave her the gun gets life in prison!

Do you not understand how this: Around 60% of all intentional homicides of women and girls worldwide are perpetrated by intimate partners or family members. Male Victims: Only about 11% of global male homicides are perpetrated by intimate partners or family members is misleading? Like, what do you think that shows? Is it that women are more likely than men to be killed by an intimate partner?

The majority of domestic abuse is committed by women. Women are far more likely to be murdered by an intimate partner. Globally, nearly half of all female homicide victims are killed by a family member or partner, compared to less than 10% of male victims. That conclusion doesn't follow from the statistics you cited. That's not what it means. It's either solely referring to hooded eyes, where the upper eyelid hangs down and kind of flatten the top contour of the eye, which is normally round. It gives it this sleek "predator" look. It's either solely that or a combination of that and the shape of the orbital bone/brow bone. I think you're talking about positive canthal tilt, which a lot of incels mistakenly think is responsible for hunter eyes because they're too stupid to figure out what they're looking at.

I agree that it's false equivalency, but I do like it and I'm not gay. I used to go to this gay after hours club, just because it was the only after hours club in the city. Lots of straight people would go, but it was primarily gay. So this has happened to me a good number of times. I also once gave a guy a ride home who also turned out to be a straight dude and told me he just went there because it helped his self esteem (which isn't why I went).

No, see, it doesn't matter because if you get murdered it's your fault for being the same gender as the person who murdered you. Remember at the annual men's meeting how we all decided that murder was okay? Now we have only ourselves to blame.

Doesn't matter what the point is Yeah it does because that's exactly what we're talking about. Was the "point" of those replicating amino acids to replicate or is it just something that happened? Lets say one of them randomly mutated and became a little better at replicating than all the other molecules. Was the "point" to become better at replicating or was it just something that occurred without any point?

Exactly. They'd have you believe that the average woman who hasn't faced some issue is more affected than the men who have. For instance, intimate partner homicide. They act like it's this burden that all women carry that isn't faced by any men. Meanwhile, in 2021, 1079 men were killed by intimate partners and 1690 women. We're talking about standards though, i.e. a level of quality, achievement, performance, etc., that is considered acceptable or desirable For the vast majority of men, small tits are acceptable or desirable for a potential long term partner. But just to jump ship the moment something is slightly more shiny, I think, is pretty fucked up. It is fucked up, but, again, it's survival of the fittest, not survival of the least fucked up. Intrusive thoughts aren't the same as having actual urges. They're like the complete opposite because they are born out of things you don't want to happen. Women bear the physical risk of pregnancy, which explains their selectivity—but that selectivity crushes men who don't meet the threshold. Selectivity actually starts at a more fundamental level. Females (of all species) invest more resources in their eggs - this is actually the essence of being female. Males compete for these resources. For instance, female fish don't get pregnant but males still compete for access. Not that pregnancy doesn't have any effect on competition. It's basically anoth…

Non-binary isn't even an identity anyway. It's a philosophical stance that rejects the gender binary. If you're non-binary, you should think that everyone is non-binary, right? It makes no sense to affirm the philosophical position of non-binaries but not consider everyone non-binary. If you do that, it's like admitting that you're just pretending to go along with them.

The vast majority of violence against women isn't misogyny anyway. It's interpersonal shit. Just search "killed his roommate" to see how often that happens to men living with other men. And of course when you involve romance, children, jealousy, partnership, bills etc. you have a recipe for even more friction. Yes, and there was some factor that increased prostate cancer deaths but increased mortality for women by an even greater degree, but we used that to make things look more unequal for men!

Curiously women live longer in every country in the world. In Chad, which has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world, women still live 4 years (7.5%) longer than men on average. Also, yeah, it's fucking crazy to base something like "GENDER INEQUALITY!!!" on 2 variables, which might hardly affect anyone. Like, the US, a country of 340 million people, has worse GENDER INEQUALITY! than Europe because 700 women (.0004% of female population) die in childbirth every year. Obviously r…

I hope you called the cops to report that. Not like they would do anything. My friend had a bottle broken on his face by some random girl at a bar. Had to go to the hospital and get stitches. He pressed charges and nothing happened to her.

If you swapped the genders in your original story, I would say the same thing. There's too much of a difference between what you describe and someone forcing themselves on someone else for them to be considered the same act.

I think it does impair your decision making but not to the point that you're completely incapable of making your own decisions, unless you're blackout drunk, which you clearly weren't close to, given the crispness of your memory. Of course it's not okay to drive drunk. The two aren't comparable. It's not okay to text and drive either. Texting doesn't nullify your ability to consent to sex though.

If you start a fight against someone bigger and/or stronger, you have implicitly accepted the consequences. Almost no one would disagree with this if it were two men. I'm more defenseless against Hafþór or a pro fighter than the average woman is against the average man, but if I walked up to one of them and slapped them in the face, no one would give a fuck if I got knocked out as a result.

Any efforts of theirs are Herculean and any efforts you do are minimised or ignored entirely This is the essence of every gender conversation - completely erase the value (positive or negative) of anything to do with men, completely exaggerate the importance of anything that has to do with women. i don't think that's true at all; laws can definitely impact your day to day life. Yes, but that law in particular does not impact the day-to-day lives of men. "Day-to-day" meaning normal living. It's just some weird feature of how people perceive being penetrated vs. being forced to penetrate. It doesn't really shed any light on anything outside of that, just like marital rape being legal was a weird feature of Christian religious doctrine which considered the man and the woman to be one person…

I'm reading The Wheel of Time series and there's a scene where one of the male protagonists is raped at knife-point then later has signs of trauma, and both the rape and trauma are played for laughs. I reckon in reality, the ratio of ‘normie’ vs ‘non normie’ people is very similar across both genders. Being a man doesn’t inherently make you this intellectual, creative, contemplative being I reckon it isn't because of the "greater male variability hypothesis". This idea suggests that for many human traits—especially cognitive and physical—males tend to show greater variance (i.e., a wider spread of values) than females, even if the averages are similar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variabili…

And even given that fact, a lot of women are still caught. Not that many more men kill their partners than women, even if you don't count the ones who got away with it. In 2021 there were like 1600 women killed by an intimate partner and 1000 men. https://bjs.ojp.gov/female-murder-victims-and-victim-offender-relationship-2021 So, that difference of 600 is enough for women to erase the 1000 male victims as though they don't exist, like in the title quote.

I can't find it right now, but I think it's somewhere in the writing of E Belfort Bax: https://www.marxists.org/archive/bax/index.htm but someone was complaining about depictions of men as bumbling idiots in comic strips back in the early 20th century, so, yeah, this has been a thing for at least a hundred years. Also, everyone should read Bax: Coming to the present day, the talk of male oppression, in any form or degree is simply the grossest and most impudent piece of cant. Law, custom, and op…

I don’t think I’m in the top 20% and I’ve honestly never struggled to go on dates with or hook up with cute girls. I bet you are and you're thinking top 20% = top 1%. And when I say top 1% you are probably thinking male model or some shit, but that's actually like top .01%. Whenever I go traveling, I make a point to look at almost everyone. I feel like walking through and sitting in the airport and riding around on public transportation for hours gives you a pretty good reference frame. On a giv…

Yeah, and by really ugly/low quality, you mean the bottom 70%. And by vary and depend on preference, you mean 10% of women will find someone in the 70-90% range attractive.

Kinda reminds me of Dear Zachary where even after murdering her ex a woman was let out on bail and given custody of her infant son who she then murdered.

Yeah it's no secret women get way more lenient prison sentences. I just watched this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd0M3YCXgMg Woman shot her husband and got 13 years for second degree murder. The man who supplied the gun got convicted of first degree murder and life in prison. Some lady who knowingly provided the wife with percocet so she could try poisoning him didn't even get charged with a crime.

These women are trading sex for resources and shelter, so yes, you can call these situations predatory. Yes, it's a shame those women are taking advantage of men who are desperate to quell their biological urges smh. But lol at "shelter" like these dudes are going and picking up homeless street urchins in fucking Agrabah.

I wasn't attracted to my ex-gf for at least a year after the first time I saw her, but that changed completely. Also, you can quickly lose attraction to someone. So, no, this is stupid incel theorizing.

I love how the older men are simultaneously supposed to be pathetic losers who can't attract women their own age, and also suave master manipulators who have young women wrapped around their finger. Also, I would love to see that meme play out in real life, some little basement dwelling reddit troll approaching an international supermodel to explain to them how Leonardo is exploiting them.

because of the intimation factor and also the ability to get away is much easier. Since men by nature run faster, are more agile, and are stronger than women.

Most crimes are actually committed by people without college degrees. Like, there's a bigger disparity between degree havers and non degree havers than there is between men and women. So, yeah, if you're going to put crime on men just because they're men, then we degree havers have an even better argument for putting it on non degree havers. Or, they're both stupid ways to see the world.

"the" comments. sure, those were "the" comments... like, do people go to some video game chat and listen to a bunch of 12 years olds and then pretend that's how most people feel about things?

People call criticism of an individual woman for something that has nothing to do with her sex/gender misogyny.

What game? I 'm admitting you're right. A man who insists "if she did it with an ex, she should do it with me" who let a previous partner peg him who then refuses to let his current partner peg him would be a hypocrite. You sure showed them.

And what if one day that guy no longer desires to be pegged but she still wants to do it, how do you follow the principle then? He'd only not be following the principle if he let one of his past partners peg him, and even then we don't know if the guys who say "if she did it with an ex, she should do it with me" demand that it continue in perpetuity. Assuming he let one of his past partners peg him, then he's already upheld the principle to some degree. Do we have examples of guys who got blowjo…

Okay, so hypothetically the person described, of which you can't produce a single example, would be a hypocrite. Amazing revelation.

Can you find me a single example of a person arguing "if she did it with an ex, she should do it with me" who also allowed a previous partner to peg them but refuses to allow their current partner to peg them? You're not making the point you think you are.

How much this actually is the case is debatable, How is it debatable? If they had the agency to prevent it then they would! It's like thinking a man who gets sucker punched was somehow less defenseless than a woman. If he had any defenses, he would have used them!
