Especially on the part about psychedelics, Jung himself has said “Beware of unearned wisdom.” Psychedelics are a projection of your mind. If you are in a bad place, you may have a bad trip. Know this, and learn to accept your pain. Don’t run from it. Then you will be content, and so will your trip.

Sure, but I’m looking at it from a more competitive aspect. With finite resources in a given industry, there will be people trying to gain more than others. When some gain more, others lose. I think this is undeniably a fact. Edit: And in relation to your comment, people are glad to mentor because they already have what they want. They’re just happy to see people as ambitious as they are, and help when they are asked

I believe the act of others trying to better themselves entails bringing others down. For example, there’s only one open position at a company. A more successful man bettering themself for the position entails they put the competition down when they get the job. You don’t get the job, you’ve been put down.

As someone who used to be in this rabbit hole, this is the advice I can offer to get over this hump: The more experience you have, the more you can see that it doesn’t matter what others say. Just keep the mentality that you don’t GAF, and it will soon be your key mentality. Another thing: it takes time. Frustration will occur, but giving up is the last thing you want to do

I actually completely believe you that an implicit bias may exist in that sense. I can’t say I know how much this affects the wage gap. They should submit business owners to one of those implicit bias tests

Yeah I think you’re right about the discrepancy existing controlling for everything else, but saying it’s just because they’re women, I believe, is wrong. Why wouldn’t companies just hire women if they’re cheaper to employ? Plenty of stats suggest why men get paid more that are not sexist. Men are more likely do take on dangerous jobs. Men rank more disagreeable than women generally, which means they’ll argue for a higher raise. I just think it’s far fetched to suggest that there’s a secret soci…

I’m pretty sure when people say .77 to the dollar, they’re referring to a statistic that doesn’t acknowledge their education, experience, or job field in general.

You gotta brush your teeth twice a day (and floss once a day) and shower everyday. Bonus points for doing it at the same times everyday so you start setting a schedule and organizing your life more
