“We will continue with our current custody agreement”. Agree to nothing! Give your lawyer a heads up too. That way they’re prepared if she pulls something

If youve an iPhone put your cell on do not disturb w/auto reply “Still Thinking” to her if she continues to text. That would be standing up to her bullying w/o getting drawn back in

My man! Are you familiar with Charlie Brown? If so, then you’ll understand what I mean when I tell you: Stop Trying To Kick Lucy’s Football! Every time he tries to, Lucy pulls the ball away at the last second and CB ends up on his @$$! Well except 1 time when Chuck was invisible and he f-d Lucy’s $hit up!! She’s a narcissist so there’s nothing good to come from trying to play her game. Instead, Once you said “I’ll think about it” you should’ve just put the phone on DND & have it send auto reply …

Sage advice. Greatly appreciated. Happy Father’s Day to you too

You’re right. I lost my damn mind. Can’t negotiate things like desire and doing so only means you’ve negotiated against yourself when they no longer want you anymore. I was only trying to say WTF is wrong w/me but realize it doesn’t matter. It’s pointless and gets the same result. I’ve taken what you and others said to heart and started to find legal counsel. Thanks for the reality check.

Yup. I’d like to hit the do over or at least strip down naked and pull a Walter White and blame it all on a fugue state, but I have to own this one

My brother’s divorce was finalized late last year. I helped him find and pay for a good lawyer. My bro is a PO and works so hard for crap pay at a shittily run PD. To watch him beaten down on the job and at home was gut wrenching. He broke when his daughter stopped him just as he was about to brush his teeth to tell him not to because mommy cleaned the toilet with it! After that He then did all that stuff at work, & without missing a beat she alleged that he had poor hygiene! We’d talk for hours…

I realize it & don’t want a quid pro quo relationship. I uncharacteristically lost my cool. It was a build up over time and more recently from being ignored at a party while some dude hit on STBX(sp?) (a couple of weeks back; they exchanged #), to passive aggressive stuff, right up to just before I lost my cool when my lil girl told me how great it would be if the other dude (by name) could also be her daddy. While I shrugged it off with her, it tore me to pieces inside. I wasn’t expecting that …

That’s what’s killing me. I’ve a 6yro. She’s sweet, bright & sensitive, and while I’m heart broken for her, I just can’t live like this any longer. It seems like this is on a clear trajectory to divorce; I plan to go for 50/50 custody if it does go that way. Thanks. This sucks and I don’t know what else to do. Happy Father’s Day right? What a kick in the giblets!

Don’t worry about that. If she is planning to make false allegations (eg think perjury), then that would be a proper exception to the 2 person consent. Basically the exception is if she tells you she’s planning to do something illegal / break the law (eg make a false accusation) or you believe that she will, and record it, then you’re protected if and when she does just that. Illegal activity is an exception to the 2 party consent rule/law, which means you can legally record her either with vide…

The minute she threatens to blackmail you, lie (or has lied), fabricate evidence, etc. you’re covered (*** just try to document that proof too!!**). It sounds like you already experienced or at least suspect that of her and that will be key to recording in advance, unless she’s already said something like, I’ll do whatever it takes to get x,y,z. BTW I don’t blame you one bit. I worked as a detective and other jobs where people are total pieces of shit to your face but act like mother fucking The…

Before you record anything, Please make sure you live in a 1 party state for consent to recording; unless it’s illegal activity (an exception). 2 party states (eg CA) means each has to consent or agree to be recorded unless it’s illegal/ illicit activities. Texas,on the other hand (for example), is a 1 party state. That means if you’re on the call you only need to agree to record the call. Please review the following and then confirm what you find at: https://brandedbridgeline.com/blog/conferenc…

Document, document, document brother! Get a decent lawyer. If there are people aware/witness to the madness, then get their statements as affidavits witnessed and authenticated by a public notary. Have all the evidence that supports any of this you can ready to go. It’ll be hard for even the most biased to decide against that. Not legal advice, just some dumb smooth brained, crayon eating ape’s $0.02
