2	To keep or not to keep I kept the marital home, and definitely for months it felt like a mausoleum to our marriage. The entire place was set up and chosen by her. We had 40k in home equity, 35k in assets, and 35k in debt. She wanted me to take all the debt, keep all the assets, and split the home equity. Being ‘fair’ we’d each wake away with 20k.
