Its more than just fear, they have been taught to respect others' but not themselves. Victim blaming is not helpful, and victims/survivors should always be treated with compassion. 2	Men are portrayed in movies and TV as lazy, sleeping all the time. Another myth. "...women get about 25 minutes more sleep on average..." off topic, but Better sleep hygiene and other subtle differences in behavior among the sexes might help us understand why women have such higher life expectancy and lower risk of cardiovascular diseases.
