SpiralingAlways remember: When you’re up, things are never as good as they seem. And when you’re down, things are never as bad as they seem. Stay strong, this too shall pass. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/04/22 01:56 PM

Man are there days I want to video and post her behavior here.No you’re not alone. I have the videos and screenshots that I would love to post on Facebook to show everyone what I have to deal with. But I’m a private person and never been a fan of airing out your dirty laundry on Facebook. Plus it’s embarrassing to me that I even put up with it | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/04/22 12:39 PM

Just some things off my chest and questionsThank you for the honest reply. Although I’ve thought that the time we do spend together I would do my best to always plan fun or bonding activities, I never looked at it the positive way you just described. As in not taking the time we do have together for granted. So thank you for the optimistic outlook. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/22 04:25 PM
Thinking of DivorceSo money wise, there are 3 accounts. Her checking account, my checking account, then we have a joint account. Would there be a 50/50 split for each account? Or only the joint account? Is it possible to only split the joint account? For retirement, she has a 401K, I have 2 401Ks and 1 Roth IRA. Are each of those split 50/50? Like the checking accounts, could we agree to keep each? We have a house but I have no interest in having it or being spiteful about it. Is there anyway to use that to my adv… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/01/22 10:26 AM
Thinking of DivorceThank you for the advice. I hadn’t really thought of her using that against me, but I guess it’s possible. Seriously, Thank you | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 11:22 PM
Thinking of DivorceThank you for the reply. But I honestly don’t believe I can wait 4 years. Just before the first was born I told myself I’d wait until he was at least 2 before I made a decision. He’s nearing 2 now and I feel worse now than I did 2 years ago. I absolutely hate myself for putting myself in this situation and potentially not giving my kids a normal mom/dad home. I feel like a complete dumbass as I look back on all the times when I should’ve left her but chose to stay. I’ve been going to therapy for… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 11:18 PM
Thinking of DivorceThat’s what I’m afraid of, as I guess every man is. That’s why I just want to put all of my chips into getting 50% custody and I’m willing to lose the rest. As long as the child support is reasonable, which I imagine it will not be. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 07:22 PM
Thinking of DivorceOur first quit breastfeeding probably around 7-8 months, and he was only doing it then as comfort to fall asleep at night. I agree with you that it’s definitely a better option, but hopefully it doesn’t get that senseless. I just don’t understand how people can be so spiteful to restrict parents time with their children. Hopefully it doesn’t come To that | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 07:21 PM
Thinking of DivorceThank you for the well worded reply. The breastfeeding is what I was wanting to hold out on. I assumed that would be a tough battle to fight until the baby can eat baby food. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 06:15 PM
Thinking of DivorceIf we could agree to custody and splitting possession out of court, would that be easier? The only thing I want to fight for is 50% custody. I’m sure I’ll get screwed on child support by the courts, but can that be settled out of court as well? | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 05:31 PM
Thinking of DivorceThanks, I read that elsewhere as well. But how do I say, I’m staying here until X happens, without her screaming at me to leave knowing that I’ve filed for divorce? | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 05:05 PM
Thinking of DivorceOk, I see what you’re saying. Thanks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 05:03 PM
Thinking of DivorceWell I believe it’s already too late for that. She’s already began the transition at work for her to go part time within the next few weeks. But she’ll still make decent money (40-50k) by going part time. I’m unsure how I could convince her otherwise at this point without just saying, “hey we’re getting a divorce and you’ll probably need the money.” And how do I act like a poor sob when she clearly knows how much money I make? I do know how much she has in her account compared To mine and hers i… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 04:55 PM
Thinking of DivorceThere’s a long list of reasons why that I don’t know where to even begin. Basically it boils down to me being unhappy, constantly disrespected by not only her but her family, no regard to my feelings what so ever. What do you mean different schedules for kids? Thank you for that link. It’s a helpful read | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 04:41 PM
Thinking of DivorceWell the grandparents baby sit while we’re at work and I’ve been to every doctors appointment for both kids. There’s only so many activities that an 18-month old can partake in, especially during Covid times. I’ve never ignored the kids time and have been on every play adventure we’ve had. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 03:37 PM
Thinking of DivorceYeh we’ve discussed it. This has been going on for nearly 2 years. So the idea is out there. She is not unstable, she is a great mother. For me to have more than 50% custody would solely be me being selfish as I have no reason for her to have less than that. I just know how hard it can be for dads to have an equal amount of time with the kids. I don’t have a concern with her quitting work. She has a great job that she loves. Her hours may be reduced as it’s something we’ve discussed for a while,… | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/22 03:32 PM
