What a sad tormented soul, all for a cosmetic procedure performed on newborns. Sex is indeed assigned at birth but gender is a whole different concept to use both interchangeably is just down right anti-science. So of course if you have a different sex assigned at birth, one that does not match your gender you'd want to "fix" this in a way.
