Then why do the men that do report, report male victimizers?

It means you're in an echo chamber. All statistics point to most perpetrators of sexual assault being men. Doesn't matter if the victim is of age, underage, male, female, etc This subreddit deeply hates women. I'm happy we're taking these issues seriously now as a victim of sexual assault as a child, but people are twisting it for their narrative

To be fair, this sub doesn’t hate women. Literally the comment below you lol. I'm sure not everyone here is a raging misogynist but damn do there seem to be a lot

My main problem with this issue is exactly this, feminists use this slogan, but they don't tend to offer a feasible solution. I think you may not be looking at what actual people are working to establish. Things like police accountability for when they don't test rape kits and lose out on important evidence. Trying to get things like consent taught at a young age or during school's sex Ed units. It's a big problem, and it's made worse by the fact that evidence is gone fairly quickly. As someone …

Could you imagine teaching him "Son, you should respect when people want to be touched and when they don't. If someone touches you and makes you uncomfortable you can tell me. But the same way you don't want to be touched sometimes, sometimes other people shouldn't be touched." As they get older, you can be more specific but it's not an impossible conversation

You don’t “teach” someone to not rape, the same way you don’t “teach” someone to not murder, to not steal, etc. You do teach it. Consent is a fluid thing that can be revoked if someone feels uncomfortable. You can teach your kid it's ok to play fight but not okay to fight if the other person doesn't want to. Rape isn't just a dark alley or a passed out person in a frat house. It can be constantly badgering a partner, gaslighting or guilting someone into sex. Nuance is important Edit: Also, if yo…

In America more men are raped then women. Can I ask where you saw that? According to RAINN, 1 out of 10 victims is male. Source. Nearly 1 in 5 women according to the CDC are victims of attempted or completed rape. Source Nearly 1 in 38 men have experienced completed or attempted rape during his lifetime According to the same link. According to that same source 1/3 women experience sexual violence vs 1/4 of men. Obviously, both should be treated seriously but I'm not sure where you get that more …

Usually it's just about teaching consent. No meaning no. Taking a no as a no. Not pressuring someone into it. Being able to read when someone is uncomfortable in a situation. Not taking advantage of someone when they've had stuff to drink. And before someone says it, yes men have raped by women. Maybe not the legal definition of whatever, but in layman's terms, yes it happens. I'm a feminist and I'd like both genders to be taught more about consent. But more women experience sexual assault, and …

Or it's been shown that she didn't say that tweet and the tweet led a lunch mob to a teenager. What's blocking your synapses?

A wedding rings represents that a man's job is provide for his wife, a misandrist idea that makes no sense in era where women have higher earning potential than men. It's the embodiment of systematic oppression, that a man is a financial resource to his wife Or is it a holdover from a mysogynist society where women were expected to stay home and not get a job? I think the idea is antiquated but it comes from a time where men were expected bread winners because women were expected to look good, s…

Shit like this is why people don't take you seriously. Rape happens to anyone. Even if they're ugly. Maybe if comments like this weren't said people would take false accusations seriously. Just like when a female teacher rapes a male student but no one cares cuz "I'd bang her if she was my teacher!"

But you're making assumptions about me as a person when I literally haven't even saud anything about my views. I'm a bit left of center, but I've always been ideologically center. During the election, I almost voted for Trump for god sake! I didn't even vote for a candidate for President since I'm in CA and it wouldn't matter and vpted on local stuff. The reasons I've been called s cuck is because I'm pro-choice. I empathize with those who see it as murder because, well it's hard to define where…

Nope. Haven't taken gender studies. Haven't taken a class on race. I follow Jordan Peterson, and actually try to talk to my more left freinds to challenge them on their views. That's just Reddit No shit! I have yet to meet a liberal, and I know some hard left ones, that if you actually want to have a discussion that's more than "Fuck Towelheads" and "Libtards are trying to take our guns" they'll listen. Hell, the ones I know (it's anecdotal but I'm going off my experience) actually believe in sm…

When I saw the comment, it was below the original. I used to be subscribed to this place, but I can't stand it. It's the exact thing the extremely feminists say and is only looking to fire back, not build.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
