Can you name some positive things that feminism is doing today? Because it seems to me like the "radicals" are actually the bulk of the movement, and the only ones doing anything. Every time I hear about a feminist campaign it's misrepresenting some statistic, or fabricating data, or complaining about some innocuous thing like a guy wearing a shirt. What are the "reasonable" feminists doing?

Unbelievable. Or at least that's what I'd like to say, but in our current society it's just more of the same. If a 20 year old guy tried to initiate with a drunk 15 year old girl no one would bat an eye at calling him a rapist, but somehow I get the feeling that most people this kid talks to will blame him.

I know it's been pointed out but yeah, that's the whole point. Thunderf00t is pointing out that by using the same cherry-picked, out of context clips Anita can make anything look sexist. Thunderf00t doesn't actually think that Whedon is sexist, which he explains pretty explicitly at the end. Whedon fell for the tricks and thought her videos were great; by showing that the same logic would make his own works misogynistic he would hopefully realize it's all just smoke and mirrors.

men are never blamed for being raped WTF. Men are almost always blamed for their rape. Feminists bitch about "she wanted it because of what she was wearing" but guys are assumed to want it just for being men. As much as they go on and on about "rape culture" just about every aspect applies more to men than it does to women, yet somehow we're not the ones pushing that agenda.

Actually, the discussion of how the "patriarchy" hurts men is quite common But how does feminism actually respond to men's rights issues? Because simply stating that men will be helped by minimizing gender roles isn't much when you specifically frame issues like rape and domestic violence like something men do to women. I think the sidebar was mostly talking about how male victims of rape aren't taken seriously. I agree that having sex with someone who is intoxicated or passed out is rape, I would also argue that there is a grey area, but I think the sidebar was pointing out that no one ever brings up that if the guy was also drunk when he had sex with an intoxicated girl, she also took advantage of him. Not sure where you're getting your experiences, but I usually see exactly the opposite. I see this sub celebrating women's rights all the time; the front page has a post right now praising a woman who helped both woman and men's rights. Feminists on the other hand treat men's rights as a non-issue and deny that men have any problems. I'm gonna go ahead and say both would be wrong (I wouldn't limit anyone's free expression I just don't see why anyone would enjoy either). Fucking with someone's hormones is just messed up; it goes way beyond the typical revenge scenario and becomes actually disfiguring someone's body.
