This is ridiculously accurate.

Okay, agreed on that.

I’m exactly your age. We are borderline GenZ and by most definitions count as millennials. Regardless, we are somewhere between both. I disagree with the idea that GenZ has to hookup to not be miserable.

Yeah.. call GenZ miserable for prioritising real connections over hookups. You’re experiencing classic generation gap. You sound exactly like how boomers talked about millennials. Let the younger ones have their preferences, shall we?

Guess there are more important things to do in life.

Noted. Sorry about that.

Ah it’s you again.. I remember your username. Forgive me for not blocking you earlier.

Needless extrapolation. All I said that it’s a significant contributing factor. Nobody bases someone’s value around one specific factor and neither do I. Regardless of what I am told, I feel right in having preferences which align with my goals. One of my goals is to have kids and it’s a scientific fact that women after 38 have a risk in conceiving. So it makes no sense for me to look for a partner that’s not aligned with my goals. I have not designed how biology works. I am just working around …

I literally met a woman organically who followed this pattern. This anecdote is more real than people are claiming.

Apologies. I only meant to support OP by confirming his anecdotes. Maybe I could have phrased it better.

I am a young man in late 20s who wants kids (plural). It is perfectly reasonable for me to not pursue any woman above 36. Call it whatever but I don’t see any reason to be made guilty for that reason. I have zero shame in having that preference because that aligns with my goals. call it whatever.

I know people are attacking OP for whatever reason, but I can see this first hand in front of me. It’s true and OP is 100% right.

I don’t think this is the sub for this content

Honestly it’s mostly about starting and trying something and getting sucked into it. I never thought I’d like Snooker but just ended up around a table and saw the game, played a bit and the reward feedback loop did the rest. Got sucked into so many random things just like that.

My favourite take here and also checks out with my experience as well.

Understandable. The male female dynamic is irrationally stressed at the moment and is very easy to misunderstand people. Seems like it’s impossible to find a balance online. Can’t even know if we are just talking to bots even lol

Okay. Don’t completely disagree with you. Might I recommend you use the word “some women” instead? It just makes for a more civil and open conversation. Women add a lot of input in this subreddit. The least we can do is try to not alienate them. Words like “most men”, “most women”, etc tend to sound more like finger pointing. It is not an attack against you. I think everyone just misunderstood you and that wouldn’t be the case if you used more lenient terms like “some” instead of “most”. Again, …

I would be just as pissed if someone generalised all men too. I am a guy too and I have called women out in this very thread for generalisations too. People are varied. This sub is to discuss nuances and not make broad statements about either gender and turn this into a gender war. That’s very red pill behavior in my humble opinion. That been said, you have the complete right to disagree with me and that’s okay. Just telling you how I felt. I mean civil discourse.

I’d caution against that line of thinking. Some dudes here are a bit extreme as you just found out, but they’re still the minority here. Most people here are very rational. Don’t let a few spoil your image on the entire group. I see guys debating guy over the same things too. I’ve called out generalisations in this very thread itself. Treat people as individuals and let’s not generalise either gender. It’s unwise. That individual debating you doesn’t represent all men the same way you don’t repr…

The women I know are into guys who like to play music, sports. I wouldn’t call them boring. At least that’s my experience. Like what’s up with generalisations about men and women in this thread. It’s driving me crazy reading these debates over nothing.

Depending on what art and what types of reading.. it can be ridiculously broad. Most girls I know who do art are into multiple forms of it and some of them can be very deep into it. It’s like music.. could range from some bloke who plays 4 chords on guitar to a person who has dedicated an entire decade to ins and outs of music. It’s Reddit and it makes no sense to try to profile someone and argue about it over a single comment worth of information about them and worse.. debate them over it lol.

bruh.. you said that most women don’t have real hobbies because most women are boring AF. That’s an insane thing to say about any group of people lol It is no surprise that everyone objected to your comment after that. I don’t agree at all with you calling most women Boring AF. Sorry man.. I’ll have to disagree with you on that one.

I would love to get into this someday. Too busy with learning music lately but eventually.. sounds fun. :) I hope you find the video interesting. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

Miniature houses? That’s pretty cool. Don’t see that very often.

While I agree with you that only Art in her list counts as a hobby and generally agree on your definiton of hobby, but you’re grossly generalising women in your comments and that’s not okay. That’s one specific individual you’re talking to. Can you not make it about all women? Thank you

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
