Duty of Care We do the same thing in the military. Once they're in our possession we're responsible for their well-being. Afghans got better treatment than many Americans in CONUS do. 1	INSEAD research shows that children have a better perception of male teachers, yet men only represent 15% of primary school teachers in the UK Well, I think that's partly because the male teachers are a minority and they have to preform better to get the position. If it was the other way around female teachers would probably be viewed better. Personally, I think sex has little to do with it. I've had great and terrible teachers on both ends. Some of the comments are frighteningly ignorant, like this one: "I would also add that women are very often raped by their male comrades in arms" -WOW. Women get special treatment in most armed forces. Cases like these are extremely rare. Most guys in the Army are sexist about working with women, you know why?
