The funny thing about all this is that according to people who cover the business end of films are saying that this movie needs to make anywhere between $750 and $900 million to BREAK EVEN ( due to loans). In the era we're in, most movies don't get close to the lower end of those numbers, let alone the higher end.

Seriously! I get that the theft would be 100% profit when you sell them, but Irons new are what, $10-$20 new? How cheap would you have to sell them to get rid of them?

On top of that, immigration interviews for marriage visas are backed up beyond belief. I was listening to a immigration lawyer and she was saying that cases are currently backed up a year or more. Do you really want to be on the hook for the immigration lawyer for that long?

These are the same people who want to enact "hate-speech" laws. They don't understand how those laws can ultimately be used against them. These are the type of articles that should be brought up when people want to alter free speech (especially in the US).

At this point, I think all people on YouTube should sign up for something like BitChute to have a backup for when YouTube starts purging channels. When they strike a channel down, all of the content is lost. And since video files can be pretty large, many people don't backup those files. Sites like BitChute will go to your YouTube channel and suck up the videos and publish them on BitChute. Same at this point goes for social media. Look into sites like Minds, Gab and maybe Voat (There was anothe…

I just saw this on the Democrats sub-reddit; it was the top post over there. I think a lot of people have the same idea I have when I saw this. It's "everyone who has X idea is the same" mentality. This type of thing can and has backfired in the past, and will probably do so again.

I don't think the custodial parent should have to submit receipts for every purchase on the support account, I think the non-custodial parent should have access to the account records and be able to ask (either formally or informally) about purchases (in a similar fashion to online banking). I think that it would add a layer of accountability to the process that isn't available now.

Interesting points. I found it more interesting that the comments dismissed the idea out of hand (at least the top ones). Many states use a card-based system when it comes to food assistance programs, specifically to combat issues of abuse. While I'm not pointing to it as a perfect system, it seems odd that no one thinks that a similar system couldn't be setup for child support; even if it is just so the mom, in your example, can see if the dad is mis-using the funds that are supposed to go to t…

I feel like I'm reading a lot of my own thoughts in your post. I'm a recent visitor to the MRA side of things and it has been very helpful to me, as I am coming to it from a more liberal perspective. It's interesting to see what things look like over here and what is going on when you are removed from the place you were at. I personally am starting to realize how unhappy I was; much of the progressive movement has turned into a no-win situation if you don't have membership in an oppressed group.…

That's something I've noticed more and more; the old "Man with a cold vs. Woman with a cold" argument when Men talk about having issues ( Though this one is amped up with a broken leg vs. a stubbed toe). First, the idea that any illness or injury turns men infantalizes them is absurd. It's a very old and tired trope that is trotted out to make women superior. Second, why should one illness or injury go untreated or be belittled because of someone's gender? It's pure misandry.

I know Huffington Post isn't the most popular site around here, but it is fascinating to see articles that seem to be heading in the non Alt-Left direction (ala BuzzFeed). Yesterday, they had a piece written by a Former President of Student Democrats at Maryland condemning the recent incidents at Evergreen State. It's only two articles, but it is an interesting trend.

I'm beginning to think the fashion industry has lost its goddamn collective mind. Between this, rompers, clear jeans and pre-muddied clothes; I think they are just going around seeing what stupid shit they can get people to buy and possibly wear out.

Here's a odd thought that has been rambling around my head for a while: When did women start having a specific height requirement when it comes to men? I've always heard the phrase "Tall, dark and handsome", but it's always been nebulous and generally understood to be based on the individual. In the last couple of years (with the rise of Tinder), I've seen specific numbers (Usually 6 feet, occasionally 5' 11" or rarely 5' 10"), attached to women's profiles. I understand that everyone has (and sh…

I can only speak to the US, but I think the next 2-4 years (and the subsequent elections) will be very telling. In particular, the 2018 midterms. I'm pretty left in terms of most of my stances when it comes to the issues, but I've been pretty turned off by what has been going on with things like Anti-fa and the extreme identity politics. I'm considering not voting in the state/national issues and sticking to local politics. And if I'm considering this, moderates probably aren't far behind. If I'…

What's sad is that she actually started out handling the situation well. She made a public statement saying that she was sorry and was trying to get the image taken down. If she left it at that and laid low for a while, she probably could've come back in six months to a year with a special and made a couple of jokes and moved on. Instead, she's dragged this out and is going to end up doing more damage then is needed. Well, that's the victim mentality, I guess.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. Not very attractive, not very social. But since I have started reading MGTOW, I feel better about the future. It's helped me get my life together, both health wise and financially. If it helps with future interactions (with women or otherwise), I would recommend a quote from the late, great Groucho Marx; "I don't want to belong to any club that will accept people like me as a member." I find that when someone comes up to me in an overly friendly manner, I…

What's sad is, like the 2016 Ghostbusters movie, I want to see the Wonder Woman movie. I thought she was a good character in Batman vs Superman and the trailers have looked good so far. But if they start pushing an SJW theme with the marketing, it just makes me believe that it's not a movie for me. It's frustrating as a big DC comics fan to see a movie that looks good and feel like I'm not wanted at the theater. I dunno, maybe I'll go see it a few weeks after it debuts next week.

I don't think they invented the engagement ring, just the idea that it needed to have a diamond in it's setting. Many originally had gemstones in them, but many were also just gold bands. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engagement_ring?wprov=sfla1
