The form has changed and I would say because cold approach puts you at a lower value and basically puts all men at the same level which in life they are not, a man thats tall and good looking with confidence wouldnt need to cold approach because single girls that are interested with give him a signal to open her. Also tricks and etc some girls will see through and many have read these books or are up on it. Women are highly up on social cues etc.
