If a guy said "hey I can't see you cause I have my kids this weekend " he went up in my book. And I get what you're saying about having a new stepmom every few weeks. I grew up with my mom having a endless succession of boyfriends so I knew how that felt and I didn't want it for my kids so I kept all that separate. I've dated a couple of guys who would tell me they couldn't see me when they had their kids cause it was supposed to be just for them with their kids and I totally respected that. Most single fathers have multiple women stepping in to help them while it's much more rare for single mothers to have men stepping in. Maybe a brother or uncle or grandfather occasionally but not near as much. Another thing that I've definitely observed and experienced is that as a single mother dating being pressed into "mommy duty" when a man has his kids with him.
