When I was still with my kid’s mom it was daily torture for me. She stayed at home for years and would complain constantly about how much work it was. I’m a single dad now and work a high stress full time job, keep a cleaner house than she did, enjoy my kids and there is rarely ever any drama. I make as few rules as possible but the kids know that the rules that do exist are enforced, no matter what, every time. They’re happier, I’m happier, everything is easier. It’s a sad realization that she …

I took physics at a top 5 program. There were two girls that sat in the front row of one of my quantum mechanics classes that were known by everyone as the “giggle sisters.” They often scored close to the highest scores on exams.

You should look into getting cryogenically frozen and see if it’s for you. Check out the company Alcor. It’s definitely still in its infancy, but it gives you a probability of being restored to a healthy state at some point in the future that is greater than 0%, which is the alternative.

Also food for thought. I don’t have a link to the studies handy... but for most people actually pulling that trigger requires overcoming huge mental hurdles and they can only maintain that psychological state for brief periods, even when extremely depressed and suffering. The vast majority of men that attempt suicide and fail self report that they’re extremely happy it didn’t work. So all I’m saying is, in the interest of rational self-interest, if you ever get to the point where you’re about to…

"They think the new law means their husband can take a mistress without anything happening to him, because if the wife threatens him with a divorce he will get to keep the house. Even women in good marriages are suspicious and calling us about the implications of the new law." So you mean... men can now have affairs with as few repercussions as women? Don’t worry ladies, I’m sure you can still take his kids away without much trouble. Switch to threatening that in order to keep your man in line! …

On one of the bases I worked at it was a bottle of detergent sitting visible on a windowsill. I’ve heard enough anecdotes over the years that I think this is pretty common.

I went to one of these schools and majored in physics. In my experience the hard sciences are mostly insulated from all the SJW stuff. I had to take a bunch of “core” classes (outside of our major) where I noticed it, but all my math/physics classes were just full of smart, driven kids that loved that stuff and either ignored, harshly judged, or were baffled by courses like the one described by op.

Look up some guided mindfulness meditation. I enjoy sam harris’ clips on YouTube, he has one that’s about 10min and one that’s about 30. Your mileage may very but doing this consistently for only 10 minutes a day made a huge difference for me in terms of anxiety/ability to cope during difficult times. After a while doing mindfulness meditation your emotions (anxiety etc) start to feel like something external to you. They don’t go away but it feels more like a part of your environment than some o…

Single dad here, can confirm. Days I’m alone with my kid feel like a vacation compared to my day job. I get more done during those days than my ex ever did as a SAHM too.

If there turns out to be a viable market for this kind of thing Uber could just roll it out globally in about a week and crush this company. Just give an option to riders and drivers for what genders they’ll accept. Done. I’d love this, I’d click only male and have more peace of mind. The issue would be that there are so many more male drivers than female, the women clicking this option would have super long wait times (and maybe worse surge pricing) and of course would be complaining about that…

The guy does refer to how terrible the divorce process was in the thread. If we take his words at face value I imagine it was a combination of the cheating and the wife’s conduct during the separation that made the kids not want to see her.

It’s a skewed power dynamic nothing more. When you’re married, even if you’ve never heard of any of the concepts discussed here, you know subconsciously that if you upset your wife enough she can utterly ruin you. Take your stuff, take your kids, turn you into a wage slave, and much worse if she’s vindictive enough to lie about abuse. Step back for a minute and try to forget everything you know about modern culture and men and women. Just imagine you live with a roommate that has a magic wand, h…

Back in the day before I realized the risks outweighed the benefits I was a bit of a chad. I’d say about 1/3 of women I’ve slept with were in a relationship with someone else. At the time I didn’t really care, my attitude was I’m not doing anything wrong she is. Most of the time I didn’t know and they would tell me after the fact. A few times I knew before though and just didn’t care (those were mainly girls in college with long distance boyfriends). I think my attitude would be different now...…

If you haven’t already make sure you do a bit of research into whether you’re in a one-party or two-party consent state (assuming you’re living in the states at all). Depending on the laws where you are recording without her knowledge could be a crime, and inadmissible in court.

It’s possible for them both to have fucked up at parenting right? He fucked up in his reaction to seeing what his daughter was doing, and then his wife also fucked up in her response to the situation You can debate who’s fuckup was bigger if that’s your thing. Even if everybody started agreeing who fucked up worse though, they both did a shit job at parenting in this instance imo.

Regardless of whether you think the man hitting his wife in this situation is morally acceptable or not, it’s a completely stupid thing to do. I’ve had false accusations of domestic violence leveled at me by an ex as part of a custody case. It completely fucked up my world for awhile. It’s a powerful weapon women have at their disposal. I’ve yet to ever read an actual definition of what emotional labor is in any of these articles. It seems to range from what I would consider actual labor (e.g. organizing schedules and performing household chores) to things that are so amorphous I have no idea how you’d actually measure them (e.g. I have to make sure conflict with our in laws is resolved). Whatever emotional labor is I’ve almost certainly done more of it in every relationship I’ve been in. Listening to her problems with a sympat…

Eh I think it’s silly to try to evaluate ridiculously wealthy celebrity artists in the standard way. Kanye is clearly an incredibly talented and driven narcist with world class marketing skills. Marrying Kim put his name in a lot more press and helped keep it there. I have no idea why he actually married her, but I doubt his motivations completely line up with a typical man making the decision to marry.

You can get a mail in kit at a place like Walgreens or CVS. I think mine was $40-50. Usually requires a cheek swab. I did it with my kid and it was super easy. You get a code and can look at the results online after a week or two. Test you and your brother. If your suspicion is correct you’ll get back that you’re half brothers. This won’t rule out your mom cheating on your dad and having kids with the same man twice (i.e. you and your brother are full brothers, but neither are your dads bio kid)…

Everybody has different reactions to drugs so your mileage may very... but when I took a low dose (10mg daily) SSRI it almost completely killed my libido. It was incredibly freeing. I hear you about the brain chemistry being altered but a low dose experiment might be worth it. It’s probably rare to have as strong a reaction as me (I don’t have #s but my doc said it is) on so low a dose but who knows.

I enjoy cuckold porn videos... but I’m picturing myself as the outsider doing the fucking, not the man getting cuckolded. What’s the scene term for that? I wonder how many searches for cuckold stuff are in that category, it seems like these numbers assume 100% of people that search for cuckold stuff have a desire to be cuckolded themselves.

How did your situation end up resolving? I’m in a similar situation (not quite as bad, no knife pulled, but she has threatened to cut me in my sleep, threatened false DV charges if I get out of line, and has attacked me with pushing/hitting both while holding my kid and while I’m holding him). I’m in that minority and honestly if I could flip a switch and change what I’m sexually attracted to I’d do it in a second. When I used to date/when i look at porn I’ve always been attracted to super alternative girls. Skinny, big boobs, tons of tats, purple hair, tons of piercings, it’s like my kryptonite. The answer is my expectations were all wrong, because despite being a bit chad-ish I still bought into the standard narrative. When I was pumping and dumping I kind of viewed myself as the bad guy, and always figured I’d mature and settle down someday. I figured it would be a bit more boring but that stability and deep companionship would more than make up for that. I bought into the idea that a good woman behind you is something every man needs, and figured I just wasn’t ready. When I finally t…

I wouldn’t generalize from your experience, mine is the opposite. My mom constantly compares me to my cousins and her friends kids negatively, even though I’ve been more successful in life by almost every metric. I have a cousin that dropped out of school, worked odd jobs, had a horrible divorce, and then was in and out of rehab for a few cycles. He got his life together a bit and now he’s a personal trainer. I was fairly red pill/mgtow just naturally for most of my life. I’m good looking and socially savvy and never had a problem getting attractive girls to sleep with. Until my early 30s I didn’t ever get serious about a girl and would cut girls off for bad behavior in a second with no regrets. Life was great. Not a brag, just trying to answer your question. I gave that background to explain that I was totally unprepared for the feelings of love when they finally hit. My relationships with women had…

That makes sense, but it's easy to envision a hypothetical condition that makes this more difficult. Say you need 100 units of some nutrient a day to not get sick. Most people process that nutrient at about 50% efficiency so they have to consume food with 200 units worth to get their daily 100. Now say there's a condition that makes you only process it at 20% efficiency, so you have to eat food containing 500 units to get that same 100. Maybe you can supplement with pills, change your diet so yo…

It's not a competition. The fact that women do crazier shit doesn't mean this dude isn't being a weirdo. Pedistilizing an ex girlfriend so much that you stalk her and disturb the neighborhood late into the night pathetically playing piano to win her back? This behavior is completely at odds with the MGTOW worldview, I'm surprised to see it defended on here.

Uhhh that dude is being creepy. Just reverse the gender roles and imagine if you had a 4 month relationship with some girl and after you broke up with her she started a social media campaign about how she was going to play piano at a park by your house until you took her back. You'd think she was crazy af.

Did you know that in most jurisdictions it's illegal to discuss jury nullification with the jurors and if a lawyer does it will often result in a mistrial?

In Texas I'm pretty sure the dude that the wife was cheating with, the dude who's home was being trespassed, could have shot the intruder (the husband) and gotten away with it.

You're right it's trespassing, not breaking and entering. I shouldn't have conflated the two. I agree with most things you said about the morality of the situation and if I were a juror (or the guy that the wife was cheating with) I wouldn't punish the man. That said, we have to face the reality we live in. What this guy did are absolutely crimes and he absolutely made things much more difficult for himself by committing them. I care about my brothers not being screwed by the system. This story …

You're right about it being trespass, not breaking and entering. I shouldn't have conflated the two. Filming your wife having sex without her knowledge or consent is absolutely illegal in almost every state. Many states are 2-party consent states where any type of recording is illegal unless both parties are aware of the recording. Also, most 1-party consent states (where just one party has to be aware of the recording) have special laws that make exceptions when it comes to sex acts. But NO sta…

I agree there is hypocrisy and I agree what the guy did isn't that big a deal and I know as well as anyone here how biased family courts are against men. I've lived it just like many of us. I also agree women are treated much more leniently when they commit crimes, not just in cases like this but across the board. All those things are true and all those things upset me. Wives are adults, not children. I agree when the safety of your child is involved it's a different situation (morally and most likely legally too). Going into someone's house and filming them having sex is illegal. I think it's likely a jury will be sympathetic to this guy, and I would be as well, but the fact that his wife was in there has nothing to do with whether or not trespassing is taking place.
/r/MGTOW06/09/17 01:11 PM

Make sure you read critically and actually engage with the facts. This guy went into another mans house and filmed him having sex. The fact that his wife was there too is incidental. His issues with his wife are his issues with his wife, they have nothing to do with the third party. It sounds like the charges are coming from the man his wife was cheating with. Breaking into someone's house and secretly filming them having sex are both crimes that this guy admits to committing. I wouldn't pursue …

Agreed. Whatever else you can say about her attitude, politics, style, genre, etc. you can't take away from her that she's a phenomenally talented musician. Not only one of the best live performers of her generation but also a gifted composer. She writes a lot of her own music and is an incredible pianist as well. The woman can freestyle fugues like Bach and could clearly be a world class classical pianist if she decided to focus on it.

I largely agree college is in many ways a scam. I think the only obvious exception is if you can get into a top-10 school (Stanford, MIT, Harvard, etc.) I always felt like a bit of an outsider at the school I went to (military background, no parental help, GI bill and loans paid for it) but speaking from experience, even if you think the education itself is worthless, those diplomas will make the rest of your life much much easier. Totally worth it, would purchase again.

I have recordings of her saying these things. Im in a two-party consent state though so I don't think they're admissible. Clearly something to be worked through with a lawyer. I try to look out for myself. I know that if something happens to me it will ultimately be worse for my child. Still though, becoming a parent re-wires your brain (at least it did for me). It's very hard for me to do something for myself if I think it could in any way lead to my kid being harmed, even in cases where nobody…

Rejected a girl that I suspect has BPD after she became so physically and mentally abusive I didn't feel safe living under the same roof anymore (the last straw was when she threatened to give me sleeping pills and cut off my junk in my sleep and make me watch her put it down the garbage disposal). Yeah the backpack I use for my daughter is a cute dinasour that she loves playing with and, at least so far, loves wearing. I only use it when safety makes it the best choice and she's under 2. I can't imagine using something like your pic. I can't imagine using my little Dino-pack for a kid that's older than 3 either. All things in moderation.

Haha like a collar? You convinced me, that's pretty weird. My kids leash backpack is a dinasaur that she loves to play and cuddle with. When I first started putting it on her she'd spin in circles trying to get it like a dog with his tail. Hilarious. I think this is pretty well done satire actually. I don't have much sympathy for dudes in the "friend zone." Nobody owes anyone any kind of relationship. We all know AWALT here, women aren't going to change. If you're in the friend zone stop bitching about women and take charge of your own life and make it fulfilling and meaningful yourself, no…

Eh, not sure what the big deal is with the child backpacks that have a leash. Clearly, and this is true of everything, you can take it too far but in some cases it's pretty convenient. I'm super permissive compared to most parents when it comes to letting my daughter challenge herself with things that are deemed only appropriate for older kids. So she has quite a bit of freedom. Used to work at an online advertising company. Your number is spot on. Women make about 80% of dollar weighted purchasing decisions. Meaning for every 100 dollars spent, for 80 of them the ultimate decision about where they got spent was made by a woman, and only 20 to a man. Which gender do you think we tried to make our products appeal to? A lot of that skew is due to things most men wouldn't want control over anyway. A lot of women control their men by making credible implicit threats. Women are almost always willing to escalate more during an argument so the man just ends up doing what they say in order to keep the peace. In the beginning of a marriage a lot of men stand up for themselves, or try to. This makes a lot of sense for any sexually dimorphic species. Females have to incubate the next generation. This is less true the more technologically advanced we become, but historically this required a high level of risk and resource commitment. If a woman dies you lose all her potential future offspring. If a man dies another man can easily step into the reproductive hole he left. A tribe where close to 100% of women reproduce will be more successful, even (perhaps especially) if only 20% of …

I don't believe that day traders are doing well. I think the average day trader is negative expected value and ends up going broke or quitting. This is what I'd like to see evidence of before I'll believe it. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. I don't want to give too many personal details but I've worked at top firms on both the sell and buy side of the finance world. This is absolutely terrible advice. Day traders are competing in a game that's extremely random and difficult to begin with and they have terrible disadvantages compared to the players they're up against. This is a great way to lose a big chunk of the 25k you saved up so hard for. If you've put in the effort to learn a lot about this stuff and have a way to prove your c…

Umm charge her with sexual assault and get a divorce. If you're in a one-party consent state bring it up in conversation with her while secretly recording. Shouldn't be hard to get her to say something like "I'll do it again" etc. Take it to the police. Tell them she's sexually assaulted you and threatened you and you don't feel safe in your home. The second after they arrest her change your locks and file for divorce and get a restraining order. Take pictures if there are any visible wounds. Al…

Agreed I think it's about the submission. When I was young I had a strong desire to get a girl to let me do anal. I went through a redpill phase and got a lot better with women (whatever you think of the overal redpill philosophy, the practical advice actually works at getting women to want you IMO), during that phase I got really into bondage and moderate S&M. Once I had girls begging to be submissive and follow instructions I got the chance to view anal just as the act in itself because I coul…

When I was with my BPD ex I slapped myself out of madness a few times too. A bit more than a slap, I basically punched myself in the head. I would take long drives and just scream at the top of my lungs in the car. I also stayed much longer than I should have because she'd threaten suicide if I left. It's incredible how much damage people with this disorder can do to the people around them.

Makes total sense though don't you agree? From an evo-psych perspective, she has my genes, she's my only kid, her success is my lizard brain's #1 priority. If she benefits from some guy who was too dumb to go his own way more power to her. Men are responsible for their own situation. I've had some really fucked interactions with women that left me horribly broken. I don't blame them though, I blame myself. It wasn't my choice to have a kid (oops pregnancy, crazy ex pulled the goalie without telling me, I was dumb about protection) and honestly I would advise against it. The brain re-wiring is fortunate for me because it sprinkled some joy on an otherwise totally fucked up situation but I'm not the type of parent that preaches for everyone to have a kid. The love you have for a kid is unique, and it's great, and now that I'm intensely bonded I wouldn't rewind the clock, and most dads would probably…

It's because they have more exposure to women, simple as that. Most men go through life only seeing the facade women present to blue pill society. They date a handful of women that break up with them for reasons they barely understand and then only after they marry the 4th or 5th woman they've dated they see how she makes them miserable. Except they don't really see it. They blame themselves and try to be a better husband or make excuses for why she is the way she is, and even in cases where the…

One commenter in that thread said its because the patriarchy has forced women to be so pathologically concerned about their appearance that they want to look presentable even in death (so they choose less disfiguring, and less lethal, methods like pill overdose as opposed to shooting themselves). The poster also speculated that women care more about how their suicide will impact others which lowers their success rate.

There will be outlier people that won't violate their personal morality at any price, but I think this is an extremely small percentage of the population. If you offered one billion dollars to be a porn star 99.99% of people, men and women, would do it. So the question becomes less binary. Obviously the threshold is different for different people. Body integrity identity disorder (BIID). The fact that it's still considered a psychiatric disorder in this modern age is disgusting and bigoted though. Think about this. It's very common for women to use sex as a reward/punishment tool in long term relationships. She's angry with you, no sex. She wants you to do something, sex used to help convince you. This is a very common TV trope simply because so many people can relate to it based on their personal experience. Women have always been the same. It's the incentive structure society provides around them that's changed. Their impulses used to be kept in check because there was no divorce rape. They want to live forever and and experience life to the maximum extent possible.

Women make 80% of purchasing dollar decisions across the board. Even for more "masculine" products like cars they make over 50%. Talk to any real player in advertising or marketing and they will tell you how many resources are spent optimizing messaging to women. I'm in the early phase of a very similar journey. I was seriously involved with an abusive (probably BPD) girl who started getting violent in the last few months I was with her. I don't know why I stayed as long as I did but one weekend she told me in a calm, honest voice that if I didn't do what she said she was going to give me sleeping pills, cut my genitals off, and make me watch her put them down the garbage disposal when I woke up. That same weekend she was hitting me and I decided fuck th…

Imagine 3 teenage boys walking into a store operated by 3 black women. They shout racial insults and then repeatedly stab them with screwdrivers and vandalize a car on their way out. If a judge gave them 3 months of curfew and a 250 dollar fine that judge's career would be over, no question.

One of the most frustrating things is that they can't help but view everything in terms of, "I'm a woman and that's why this is happening!" I had one marketing woman who would always point out the flaws in over people's ideas during meetings but never offered new ideas or solutions. We had a culture of being super aggressive with constructive criticism and when we were all men everybody loves it. This woman was kiiiinda following that culture, but just being 100% negative. At the beginning of on…

You're either an all-talk keyboard warrior or have no sense of self preservation. There is no way you win in that scenario. If this ever happens I hope the glow of sticking to your principals keeps you warm in your jail cell.

Nothing super interesting to write about, but just anecdotally. I was the COO of a tech company while it transitioned from small to midish size, which meant going from 100% programmers and engineers (who were 100% male) to having marketing, sales, customer service, etc. I saw the gender ratio of our company start to shift. For the most part we hired good people and everyone did their jobs well. When it came to dealing with employee complaints and interpersonal conflicts though I'd say I shifted …

The sad truth is that many military men do view their deployments as vacations. I was single while I was in the Navy but I saw it all the time with my married shipmates. A lot of them breathed a sigh of relief when the ship left the pier because t meant they didn't have to deal with the daily drama of their family for awhile. I learned that even though deployments were the farthest thing from a vacation I'd ever experienced, it still beat a lot of guys home lives.

The highest rates of reported domestic violence in the US are among lesbian couples... no joke

"This isn’t because I want him for myself, but to call him to moral account for how his past actions contributed to ruining my life. " Good lord this woman is damaged. She dated him for 3 months when she was 27 and then started an affair with him at 40 which he was totally upfront with her about from day 1. I wonder if any single middle aged woman out there has ever thought to herself, "I'm alone because I prioritized fun in my youth and then didn't lower my standards fast enough when I got olde…

Thanks, I'm fortunate to be through the worst of it. It's very difficult to even begin to articulate how emotionally toxic it is being with these women to someone that hasn't experienced it. They have no limits, and will always escalate. The only thing you can do is walk away and minimize contact. Even then they will do everything they can to try to break through. One anecdote: while my ex was pregnant we were already split up, she wanted me to stay in town and spend Christmas with her. Of cours…

Being at a low point or inexperienced may make you particularly vulnerable to people with BPD but it's not even necessary. I've always been a bit of a "natural alpha" to use this subs terminology. Charismatic, successful, good shape, etc. I never had problems dating women and never really got serious about anyone until I met my BPD. 3 years later and I'm a shell of the man I used to be, fighting depression, trying to get my shit back together. Oh also I now have a young child from an "oops" preg…
