Dude. What are you doing? To start, do not sell the things you love. Secondly, and I say this with great compassion. Get your shit together; Tell your wife that she either needs to get a job and help out or do the house work. Make it explictly clear that you are not happy, and that shes lucky to have two options. (Its not like you do.) If she doesn't, stop paying for shit. Because that's the deal. You either work, and earn money, or do house work, and are entitled to half of what I earn. If you …

I dont particularly believe that it will come to violence. It will more realistically come down to men voting more conservatively because voting liberally basically means admitting that you're the monster that the left makes you out to be. Conservative parties tend to focus on making people with money better off, at the expense of the poorer. While this is definitely to line their own pockets, it has the actual effect of making things bad for everyone IMHO, but disproportionately worse for women…

I dont mean to necro a post, but if anyone from France is reading this, is there anything wrong with you just saying: "Sorry, it's not mine, I dont recognize it as mine. Get a test." even if there's no evidence that it's not yours? Like apart from having to effectively accuse your partner of cheating (which is no different in other countries, and can avoided by agreeing with your partner that you too should have a right to know its 100% yours), what's the downside?

I would have a look into how paternity testing works in France. It's a lot more complicated than just "test are illegal", but it's very interesting It's been a while since I looked into it, but IIRC, you are only assumed to be the father of a child if you are married, and your wife gives birth. (There are also exceptions for things like rape, and sperm donation, that could change this automatic assumption.) A genetic test can still be authorised in this case, if you deny that you are the father,…

Boys today are well aware tbh. Look at the recent election. That's just the beginning. Theres about 15 more years of men yet to be eligible to vote that have seen their older peers be ridiculed just for being born with the same genitals as the boomers in parliment signing the crappy bills in, and they sure as hell aren't happy about it. As just one example, they get told they're the reason abortion rights are being removed, and they know that's not the case, they're not a politician. They get to…

A long time, unfortunately. The pendulum will swing. It started on the side of favouring men, for reasons far beyond logic, a little evolution, a little war, a little of everything. Now it will/has swung back to favouring women, as retaliation for the above. I wish that the feminists would realise that harming men today does nothing to take back oppression in the past, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Eventually it will swing back, when I'm in the grave, my children may well look back and …

I'm lucky as a guy to have been blessed with a low sex drive, so I can really be led around by my dick easily. So many of friends are just submissive as hell about this stuff though. Yes dear, you have to go to work. I know I can afford to pay both of our ways, but when I do that, you bitch that a. we can't afford to do anything, and b. I'm never around. No dear, I'm not going to do the cooking, laundry, and cleaning after working 12 hours days, 6 days a week, just because you're tired after wor…

In highschool I had to do a review of the movie Gattaca. Main themes of the movie is discrimination, cue class discussion about POC and females. As the only student in the higher level english class who was also in the schools economic relief program, I wrote my essay relating to how I was unable to get into the high level classes without a specific exception granted. Which is literally discrimination. Apparently you can be poor and dumb, but being poor and smart means you have to submit a bunch…

While I agree that men's mental health is under-represented, surely it makes sense that an article about depression mentions relevant statistics about depression? Ofcourse, men's depression is under-reported, but thats the data they have available. If it was an article about depression AND suicide, sure, but it doesn't look to be to me? Idk, maybe I'll just get down voted out of principle.

I disagree with the "horrors of war" and conscription parts. Unless you're actively in the military, or a partisan force, or in a batshit country that still practices mandatory military service, the chances of any of those affecting you are null and void for the most part. The people who would be drafted today are much more aware of what war actually is and won't have it. The point I think you're trying to make, is that women have been given been given equal rights, but have yet to experience th…

As much as it sucks. Its also a strength. I faced homeless for a while in my late teens. I was over 18 so legally and adult, but not like a REAL adult yet right, and as a dude, I knew I was a bit SOL if I tried to find a shelter or anything. So I picked my sorry ass up. Asked the only friend I had if I could crash on their couch. Got a job literally moving boxes 10 hours a day. Worked the shitty 24-30 hour shifts no one wanted for months and moved on with my life once I was able. Now I make more…

You say that as if its assumed that is beneficial. It isn't. Can you give me any current evidence of any benefit of circumcision. Excluding medical emergencies of course, which require it as intervention. Hint. You won't find any. I study medicine. I've looked. Its a barbaric and outdated practice that outside of niche, emergency cases, should not, (and based on the way that new medical professionals are being educated, will not) exist in the future of medicine. There is no point to FGM outside …

As an optional alternative to male bc. I think it varies by country, in mine, the procedure is ~$175 USD and a years worth of sperm storage is ~$450 USD, which can be paid how you like (yearly, monthly or for 10 years. I think its pretty standard practice for medical storage facilities (of all kinds, not just genetic material) to have backup generators that are required to be highly maintained, also depends on your countries laws around it though.

Hey hey, let's give credit where its due. The time it took them to apply for all those female reserved scholarships was a large barrier. It made them feel bad because there were scholarships that women and... shudders men could also get. The only thing that got her through the psychological trauma was that there weren't any male only scholarships so she knew the whole time that she was putting men in their place. /s if it wasn't blatantly obvious

There are a lot of fundamental issues when it comes to race politics here in New Zealand, however I'm glad that gender politics is usually very balanced and hope that it'll stay that way.

After reading the post, it seems most people tend to have an issue with people using the phrase "men and girls" (which I've never actually heard said) but I can sorta understand. I mean if I heard someone say "boys and women" I'd think they were a little weird too. The two things I do take issue with are; A. That all the commenters immediately assume that its because the person saying it believes that women are inferior and that they arent people. Way to jump to conclusions (and with such a vict…

And thats where you're getting theory and reality mixed up. Feminist, as per the Oxford dictionary, is; A person who supports the belief that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men. Feminism, and mens rights advocacy. Should have the same goal, they both campaign for equality of sexes. As per the definition id say almost all members of this subreddit are probably feminist. Oh it definitely shouldn't be that way. Many legal matters, especially in family courts, shouldn't be the way they are. But the less people that have to go through it the better. Its going to be a long time before we can start being retroactive about stuff like this. Until then we have to keep pushing and be as proactive as possible.

Its been proven false. In both human and chimpanzee studies (done to prove that society does not have an effect on the matter) males tend to choose to play with wheeled vehicles such as trucks while females tend to choose to play with dolls. Males naturally have a tendency to figure out how things work, patterns, technical skills and the such because they help with survival. Females naturally tend to to learn how to nurture and care because those skills help with raising children, and, if you be…

Unfortunately you just have to say what they want to hear. I passed my papers with flying colors by just saying that I couldn't have an opinion because I was a white dude. You dont have to believe it. Have fun with it, put the most outrageous s*** down and laugh to yourself as they gobble it up. But to answer your question. No, you didn't do a bad job. But the school curriculum doesn't want a good job. It wants conformity.

Certainly not with that attitude. Outside of the invention of a new male contraceptive. An increase in the ability to store and maintain usable semen would also solve the problem. A new male contraceptives would give males a borderline definite protection against unwanted pregnancy under their sole control. Being able to store usable semen for upto 3 decades (the longest recorded is ~20-25 iirc) would mean males could undergo a vasectomy at as early as 18 and choose to have kids at as late 48. W…

Oh definitely, I for one, will be close to the front of the line to get onto male birth control, due to my girlfriend being adversely affected by the pill and a general lack of desire to become a parent. I'm not commenting on whether or not the way things work currently should be changed. I'm simply repeating the observation I have rather often that many people, simply cannot fathom the idea that a man has less choice in whether or not they become a parent.

The problem I see way to often is the complete inability to see the lack of choice men get. If a woman doesnt want a child. She can; A) use one of many contraceptives B) get an abortion C) put the child up for adoption If a man doesnt want a child. He can; A) use a condom. Outside of getting vasectomiszed or not having sex (which woman can choose to do too) which I don't believe is a fair thing to expect anyone to do just in order to not have children, a man has 1, and only 1 choice in the matte…

I didnt mean it like you werent aware, I was just adding my own personal thoughts at the end, sorry. I'd certainly recommend looking into counseling, and truly hope that things work out for you. My mother used to be a police communicator and she recalls a call she got about a couple that were having a domestic. Sends a car over and the car arrives to find a skinny blonde woman with fake nails in the hallway crying with a few bruises. They ask where her husband is and they get told he's in the bedroom. The police go into the bedroom and find a man, naked, keeled over facing away from them on the bed. They ask him to show them his hands, he says he can't, they repeat and he slowly raises …

Many places (modern places too like the UK) have laws that explicitly state you have to have a penis to rape. So technically the people commenting that he camt be raped are correct. It's still fucked up, I'm not justifying it, but unfortunately in many places, due to these (and I cannot express using words how much they're fucked up) fucked up laws. Males can have sex forced onto them and they have no legal platform to stand on. Many places dont even exclude children from this iirc.

It makes no sense, you'll just end up reversing the model and men will be the ones claiming discrimination, unless a group accepts that shit happened and we should just move forward with true equality. And I have this weird hunch that itll be white dudes that choose to move on with true equality, once the pendulum swings back our way. It makes evolutionary sense. Females tended to gather berries and tend to the house/children so if they got sick, they should tend to feel it less intensely but over a long period of time, you can still pick berries with a runny nose. On the flip side. It makes sense for males to feel the symptoms uber intensely for a shorter period of time. Hunting regularly while sick would cause a lower chance of success. You can gather half a basket of berries, but you can't kill half of a deer.
