Because girls get jealous and want attention for themselves. So you're with her and giving her attention and validation (while she is providing nothing of value to you since she has a boyfriend already). Then, another girl passes and your attention and interest moves from her to someone else.

You stayed with him that long?

Yep. I moved on super easily. Sad for like 3 days and then boom, more than fine. Loving life and my routine I have going on. My game has weakened as well. I'm fine up until the point where we are on the date together. I can talk and pull them fine but...I don't know if most girls are just boring to me or if I am the un-fun one lol.

Are you me? I broke up with my ex 2ish months ago after 4.5 years of dating. Same deal.

Second'd. I tried to move past it since I loved her. It just kept re-manifesting over and over in slightly different ways.

I love anime, as well as video games of all genres, comic books, and all sorts of nerdy stuff. I also love sports, competitions, weight lifting, and learning new things. I work as a voice actor and am getting a Master's degree as well. All this is to say that there is nothing inherently wrong with liking something. Life is all about balance. Don't worry about whether you liking something or not is damaging to the idea of getting women. Everyone likes different things. Just don't become overly ob…

I just say, "Hey, I think you are cute and would love to take you out sometime. Give me your number and I'll set it up." Straight forward, to the point.

I have very high standards for the women I choose to spend my time with. Some even tell me they are unrealistic. But I know what I want and what's important to me and am unwilling to compromise that. Texting during a date is an immediate turn off. If they can't even give you their attention for the duration of a date then it isn't worth a second thought. Low self-esteem and not pursuing their passions. I lump these together. I strive hard to pursue my passions and dreams in life and want someone…

Honestly, if there is one thing I have learned from this sub, if you are not getting what you want out of a relationship, then it is not worth your time. What you each want are different things, so even if you think she is great, you will not be happy like you should be. It is better to cut that out than to put unnecessary stress on yourself trying to obtain it. I had an experience just like this and it left me jaded and bitter towards this girl. Horrible ups and downs in the relationship just l…

Exactly this. There really isn't much you can do in High School. Just have fun and don't worry so much about having a girlfriend.

Where did you travel to? I have been thinking about Japan but, since I am extremely afraid of flying, that might not be an option for me any time soon.

I legitimately fear I am heading down a similar path...but I don't have any clue about...well...anything I want to pursue in life. I lay awake at night thinking about it until I eventually pass out and then waste away the rest of the next day.

Exactly. Everyone is different and nothing on here should be taken as a universal rule. The important part is what you said - use what might be useful to you and understand how you can be more authentic to yourself.

I agree. It is easy to go out and say, "Hello, you look very pretty. My name is ___." It is much harder to find a chill friend to just hang out with.

Haha not really. The majority of the time I don't care. However, Ezebunz asked if it was actually incorrect so I figured I would chime in.

The problem with allowing your identity to be consumed by a romantic relationship is that, as you change your identity to be closer to the person you love, you cease to be the person they fell in love with in the first place. That is how it should be. The part within the commas is an explanatory thought to what comes next and is not actually needed for the sentence to make sense.

Zyzz came from the Bodybuilding.com forums. He was a scrawny little kid who got huge and then would just troll around with girls and basically do whatever he wanted. He had a MASSIVE following.

Yep, exactly. 6'0 and trying to NOT hit 200 lbs right now. I used to be the skinny kid who thought he was eating a lot...until I started keeping track. Turns out I really like food and now have to fight to not overeat.

I feel like I need to add this since no one else has. If she has a legitimate anxiety illness then don't play games with it. Anxiety is serious stuff that can lead to all sorts of mental problems. The whole "don't validate it, punish negative behavior" thing is horrible advice. People usually do not understand what it is like when someone has a real anxiety problem. Don't try this PUA crap when it comes to something like that. Be a man and try to help her by either being there for her in the tim…

Great post and thank you for contributing!! It is refreshing to get some input from a woman that resounds with the common PUA advice.

We are always our own worst critic. Always. Other people probably see you far differently than you see yourself. While attraction is important, it falls second to your attitude and confidence. This place is a gold mine for people who either are not physically attractive or feel like you do. However, it is important you get out of that mind set. Self-doubt will spew off you towards women. They can tell. Be confident, be yourself, be honest. You have been injured man! It's not like you are a fat s…

People form first impressions of you within the first few seconds of the encounter. But who cares what they think? You feel better? That's awesome. You are more confident and enjoying life more? You're the man! Don't be dependent on the results or outcomes. Just enjoy yourself bro. It sounds like you have made great progress. Keep at it, keep doing what you do. The more confident you are in yourself and the more you "like" yourself, the more attractive you will appear to others.

This guy right here has so much self-confidence that it has radiated off of him and given me an increase in self-confidence as well. This story was amazing.

Thanks for this. So basically not really different than the usual seduction methods? Be the life of the party.

You ARE interesting. As soon as you accept that and believe it, then you will convey it to others. I saw someone post on here the other day that when you talk to a girl, you invite her into YOUR world. Your world is as fascinating as you paint it out to be. I was hanging with my roommates tonight at a dorm event and we were talking to our RC (a girl) and this other girl. We were all just getting to know each other, and one of my roommates just goes on and on about comics and video games, etc. BU…

You were fine until you said "If that's not the case I hung out with you for free?!" If you had ended the text before that, you would have been golden. EDIT: Especially because after 2 days she texted you (assuming there was no communication in those 2 days). You still had her interest. But also...don't joke about AIDS.
