Some people might not want to flag on a dating app their personal history. This sub has a lot of examples of poor behavior by women, but some examples just veer into assuming the worst in every situation. This woman hasn't done anything wrong except make a dating profile as a single mom.

She actually puts no preference for this in the right hand column.

And if they are in Europe, specially Nordic countries, they can do anything they want without repercussions. I mean the US has a way higher crime rate than Europe, so I don't know why you're beating on Scandinavia here.

Which are the societies in the world you would prefer to live in over the current Western world?

I didn't say you could become the top 5%. I said you could become top 30%.

Its both hard to compete with a screen, and hard to escape one, if that is where you live. This is so true. What you're actually competing with isn't just a screen - it's information on whatever that person is most interested in at that moment of time.

80-20 is overstating it, but historically women procreated far more than men. About two thirds of your ancestors are female. https://academic.oup.com/mbe/article/21/11/2047/1147770

I should have been clear I meant men in marriages with young children.

I said pot bellies, not obese. I'm sorry that you're so put out by people with different opinions to you being allowed to communicate in the same forum. Perhaps you need a safe space?

All your reasons for what could have come up also apply to meeting someone in person and then ghosting. But in the absence of those things it is rudeness. And given how common ghosting apparently happens on Tinder etc., those extreme situations clearly do not cover more than a tiny fraction of them. In general, ghosting is just rudeness. I'm not going to take anything personally as I don't use dating apps, but when I hear interactions between others, I will presume rudeness on behalf of the ghos…

For sure, but they are happy for other reasons - the singleness is not the "success"

That's true for FDS but I've never met a woman in real life who describes being single for life as a success.

The reality is that virtually all women will be attracted to a man with an average face with charisma, a muscular body and good grooming. So unless you're hideously ugly, if you work on yourself, you'll be doing well. The reality is that I see far more couples in their 30s/40s where the woman is keeping herself toned and slim and the man is sporting a pot belly than the reverse.

People have been claiming similar things since the 1970s. It's amazing how it's always the current generation that have impossible standards whereas the previous ones that there's an actual track record of, were completely reasonable.

OP describes your thinking as misogynistic because your thinking clearly fulfils the dictionary definition of misogyny.

Yes, on the whole, although that doesn't mean everything in my life is where I'd like it to be.

There is no way that 99% of men are low value. Also, using phrasing like "a woman" as if she is the archetype of women everywhere, then describing her as an insane narcissist, is exactly the sort of hatred of the other sex described by OP.

Oh look, the exact attitude OP is talking about. There are plenty of men very happily in marriages. In fact, if I look at the marriages among couples I know that are struggling, it's almost always the man not pulling his fair weight. (e.g. going golfing for six hours every weekend).

Echo chambers start as a safe place to vent, but can end up making your problems worse. “Once you draw a conclusion ……..you’re likely to do two things; look for evidence that reinforces your belief and discount anything that runs contrary to your belief.” What a great point.

There was once a hilarious post at FDS asking for success stories and... there just weren't any. You think that would get them to start reflecting on their strategy, but of course not. And if you disagree with the strategy you're banned from the sub.

Do you know even one happy woman? Yes. My mother is in her 70s is very happy in her marriage and has been since my childhood. The same is true of most of the women in my extended family.

I don't think basic human courtesy is a high expectation. It's called being part of a civilized society.

Again, you're claiming this like with a generic "she", that is supposed be archetypal for all women. But it's just an insistence that this happens without any evidence provided.

South Africa, with all its problems, has a GDP per capita far above the vast majority of societies in human history, including the US in 1790.

Except for a handful of men with extreme natural ugliness, disability etc., virtually any man can get into the top 30% of men via a year of hard working out and grooming well.

women want Brad Pitt's personality, Arnold's body, Bezos money, and will still find something to complain about no matter what because no woman can ever be happy. Reddit always claims this but it's just not my experience, and of course statistical evidence for these claims is never provided.

It really isn't too much effort to have the basic human courtesy to say "Hey, to be honest, I'm not feeling this. Best of luck with your search!"
