It’s probably different for different businesses. At mine it’s always been a percentage of tips made which are all tracked by the PoS systems (cash isn’t tracked, only CC tips)

Ah I think i misunderstood. I think there’s a difference between pooling (Evenly split between employees) and tip out (a small percentage is tips is calculated and distributed based on hours worked)

Is that not a normal practice? I’ve been bartending for years and currently in fine dining, and every place I’ve worked at we always tip out our bussers, expos, kitchen, everyone. If you’re working, you’re getting tipped out from everyone

She made the decision to join. End of story. She continued communication with said recruiter, she went out of her to way to find the chat rooms. So yes, it was all her own free will. The recruiter didn't come to her home and put a gun to her head and force her into an airplane. If I was 16 again I could assure you I would not make a choice to be a terrorist. 🤷‍♂️it's a simple decision, really!
