Yeah, I obviously agree with the manipulation thing, but I think the conception that 30 is the age of the wall was coined more because of the "over 30 you have more chances to give a birth to a child with Down syndrome, tick-tock!!11oneone" discourse. I don't know about other countries, but here it was repeated on biology classes since high school as "a scientific fact about feminine fertility".

Ummm I think stoicism got too popular and is often too misinterpreted by the scrotes, bc the think that being a stoic = show no emotions, only pure rational male logic. But that's not true. CBT is somewhat based on stoic thought. Heck, even Marcus Aurelius literally cried a lot in front of the senate - when he heard about a big draught and famine, when his beloved daughter died. Actually, in stoicism you have to do a lot of emotional labour, just to process and analize your feelings. Aurelius co…

Does the account confirmation for our new site take long? I've registered yesterday, and my account is still not confirmed. On the other hand, my throwback email sounds moidish, since it is a reference to a philosopher, so I'm afraid it was rejected because of it.

I mean, your skepticism is very valid. However, after a fast Google it seems safe. Pushshift API is widely used and it even has its own subreddit.

Ohh fantastic idea! I have no experience with coding but I mentally support you. One thing - when you will be creating it think about its privacy. Men like to attack radfem spaces D:

Please, not Facebook! It's too close to real life so there's bigger chance of doxxing. Also fb has those tricky algorithms that scans text and pictures for controversial content.

There's another one on his profile. You can see how angry he is when she makes revenge pranks on him 🤮 But when he does it to her, of course everything is just funny 😊😊

Yeah, it's similar with friends of mine, though we are a little bit more critical. It usually goes like that: detailed praise, 'x reminds me of y' etc. and only THEN something in the ways of "personally, if I were to paint this I would do a, b, c, and maybe darken the middle thing, I'm not an expert or anything, it's just an idea that may help"

Seconded, i am currently doing minor in philosophy and I agree with everything! Moreover it is not that useless, during these studies I got way more vocal than I was before, got better in arguments, catching logical fallacies etc. HOWEVER philosophy definitely appeals to these obnoxious Very Rational Logical Men Who Are More Intelligent Than Everyone. It's terrible, like 70% of men in my year are like that. Some of them even mansplain your jokes ("oh no, silly woman, our ethics professor has an …

You're not really overreacting but honestly I have a similar problem with my Ndad when I'm at family home. Even though I'm in my 20s I still feel incredibly uneasy when I talk on phone, because he l o v e s to eavesdrop on convos, or interrogate me about them, he likes to take my phone and 'jokingly' try to unlock it, when i passed him the phone bc my mom wanted to tell him sth after all of that he tried to snoop on my last calls and see what's this new message. I know i shouldn't live in fear a…

My ex deadass asked me, and I quote: “How can I win you over?” Hah, this reminds me a play popular in my country in which a 'braggart soldier' character tries to win affections of a young lady. She clearly sees him for who he is, so when he promises he'll do anything for her hand she presents her conditions: be totally silent for 6 months, eat only bread and water for a year and 6 days and finally "unless you are prepared to lose me, catch a crocodile to amuse me" 😂

Omg, same! I'm also from Eastern Europe. My mom is one of the kindest, compassionate, soft hearted and most naive persons I've ever seen. She is also currently a willing victim of the emotional abuse from my narc father. Yes, she recognises the abuse. Yes, she calls out my father. Yes, she says she will leave him but she ultimately she never does. Even after he emotionally abused her FOR A YEAR EVERYDAY she still thinks she will save our family with the power of love. Currently I try semi-succes…

Oh god, t h i s ☝️ i know guys in med school in their early mid 20s that can’t do the laundry or cook anything else than pre prepared meals :// one of them sends WEEKLY his dirty clothes to home, so his mom can wash them :// of course all of them think they've won the lottery since they will be p r e s t g e o u s d o c t o r s and they will find a beautiful woman (preferably a dentist, because 'dentists are more feminine than other doctors and more compliant to be SAHM in the future, but before…

I usually ask them what do they want to achieve with this question? They want me to spill a 'tragic background' to a man I see for the 1st time in my life? Or to straight up confess that I'm an i n s a n e m a n h a t e r, because that's what a mentally unstable woman would do?

Not really into romance novels, but I think Henry Tilney from Jane Austen's "Northanger Abbey" is a HVM. Funny, intelligent, into 'feminine' things like muslin gowns, sincere, respectful towards the heroine (even though she is an incredibly naive girl whose wordview is made from all the saucy gothic novels she read her whole life he doesn't put her down or anything like this; yes, he sometimes finds her amusing and he plays along with her imagination, but he doesnt mock her or anything and he's …

Yep, I have a friend there, however I haven't really mentioned the situation to her in other words than "I don't really want to dance with him, ok? When I dance with him I feel dirty." I know the dance teachers asked them about the situation but I don't want to make more fuss there about my private matters and polarize ppl. I'm afraid there won't be new people there to meet. It's a small, tight-knit community (about 30 dancers). After some thought I'll go there as a leader :)

Yeah, I've been lurking this (and other 'femalecentric') subs from my main account, posted a few times, but decided to get a throwaway in case of doxxing and other unfortunate complications from acute moidoma. Still I wonder how the mods know I'm a woman and I can post here.

Yeah, acting by emotions means asking for trouble. Personally, I think emotions are more like a guidelines. You have this emotional input, BUT YOU SHOULDN'T REALLY ACT ON IT, you should analise it, what caused it, will they pass, what to do with them and then decide.
