Absolutely not. Back in Europe I used to volunteer as an EMT/Paramedic on ambulances. We were mixed teams, professionals and volunteers, men and women, and while we didn’t have things like school shootings we were particularly active with car accidents. Women were in no way less performant than men, be that CPR or first aid, nor they were more disturbed by the splatter scenes we had to endure. True, they might not have been the strongest on the field, but that’s what the burly firefighters were …

As her cretinously proud flair suggests, most likely hooligans, chavs and such, a.k.a. “gammons”. Lowlives that think the empire is still a thing, get trashed to the point of passing out in their own barf on the sidewalk (pahdon ma’am, the “pavement”) smash a pint of ale in your face if god forbid you make eye contact with them and call you a f*g if you dare asking about how they’re doing. I am the crepuscular artist type and I received a lot of attention from gay men, and I found that flatterin…

I am a blood donor and very health aware. I was a teenager in the 1990s, when AIDS was a major topic (I cried for days when Freddie died), never in life I had casual sex without protection. Yes, the pleasure is not the same, but to be honest, a little dial down to my ungodly drive wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. I even turned down an ONS for not having protections with me (and got called a f*g for it) - wasn’t expecting to hookup that night, learned my lesson and never left home without afterwar…

Not the whole, but a big part. And I wouldn’t underestimate the amount of those who silently condone misandry. Those who disgust me the most are those who say “we were oppressed so now it’s our time to make you suffer!1!1!!”, tarring with the same brush also men willing to be allies, but “guilty” for the mere fact of being XY. I wouldn’t normally care much, but I am watching carefully, since the day my son came back from a summer camp saying “he wish he was a girl”, because one of the instructor…

It really depends. There’s plenty of people for which a car is a means for going from A to B. Back in Europe, at times I didn’t even have a car because I didn’t need it, and most people in my circles, men and women alike, did everything with a bike or public transportation, rain or shine. That had no impact whatsoever on dating, in fact, biking on the mountains was one of the most common dating activities. I also had expensive - but not flashy - cars, but I never did it for “status”, and the wom…

What is even more terrifying is that they motivate it as “we have been oppressed ever since, now it’s our turn for revenge”

More than “southern”, I’d say suburban. Some young, educated and progressive (and just to clarify: I am European, very progressive and not “pilled” in any color) employees of a branch of my company in the north still tend to overdo with foundation, same goes with a large number of acquaintances from many other areas. My own circle consists mostly of international professionals but the Americans who are part of it are much better traveled than the average and way more fashion aware

Yep. Still, your average ‘murrican lady can learn a thing or two from her counterpart from Milan or Paris, where tasteful make-up has been in fashion ever since

I personally prefer light make up. The amount of foundation American women cake their faces with reminds that of an opera clown. I know “natural look” ≠ “no make up”, and it takes a lot of work, anyway, learning some finesse from European counterparts (which in change could learn something about dental improvements) wouldn’t be bad. And again, it also depends on the complexion, on the skin, but also on the style: it’s not the amount, but the result. As per surgery, it depends. I am fine with cor…

I agree with “no time for bullshit”, but I would rephrase “bringing peace of mind” with “not altering my peace of mind”. I consider myself relatively successful (tech executive, accomplished musician, published writer, sommelier, polyglot, polymath, former triathlete, expert alpinist, skier and more), I however endured some major personal troubles, which I was able to overcome, reaching my own self-sufficiency and peace of mind. Yes, the “cat lady” prophecy is akin to religious anathemas: an empty treat, getting more ludicrous the more time goes by. Women don’t depend financially on men anymore, and emotionally they haven’t for a long time. Women create and cherish their friendship circles and are used to share more about their emotions with them, something men are used only to do with their partners, which often bring to other misunderstandings, with men mistaking a platonic friendship from a woman as romantic interest…

“You risk him walking over”. In that cesspool cuntry of yours perhaps - In my time there I witnessed firsthand the “pint smashed in the face” scene, which I first thought it was a Trainspotting exaggeration, but it’s actually commonplace there in gammonia. In civilized places without apemen like chavs, hooligans and gammons there is no need to resort to violence. I agree with the rest. Staring is a bad habit that has to stop, but I am fairly confident it will go away as society progresses, like …

I didn’t propose. Wife and I had been living together for several years, we decided together to “formalize”. Had wedding dinner with our closest relatives only, and no honey moon. Curious, what could this “tell” about us as a couple?

Eurodude here. I didn’t propose. We decided together to get married, no diamond as she doesn’t care about jewelry. Simply transphobia. Same with homophobia: I can’t count how many southern European/middle-eastern machista fucktards used to make retarded jokes about not dropping stuff in front of homosexuals, as if a fit, athletic, well-kept gay guy would ever be interested in short, paunchy, hairy, illiterate untermenschen as ugly as sin. I am a Western European naturalized American living in the US, things are quite different here, even if women make their own money. The degree of consumerism and shallow showoff is intoxicating here, so while I agree with your point of view, it does not hold entirely true everywhere. To give you an idea, I descend from a line of marquises but my family is not overly rich and I despise ostentation. In my experience several left in front of the bleeding wound, but others were able to tolerate the scar. I had a couple relationships while I was in a very bad place, some of those girls were genuinely willing to help, but it was the early 2000s, Europe was living its most carefree moment and 20-somethings’ biggest worry was to pick a Greek island for their summer vacation. Young people were not exactly equipped to deal with darkness and they ran for their lives as soon as they faced it. One thi…

I work in robotics and partially with AI/LLMs. Most of what is nowadays trumpeted as “AI” is a “stochastic parrot” or, more prosaically, utter bullshit, incapable of “reasoning” in the cartesian way, let alone of “interest”. Because I’ve been in numerous equal relationships in which we “shared the bills” while having plentiful intimacy, many of which relationships were initiated by the lady (I am not much of a “hunter”)

I don’t believe in god or any supernatural entity. I am a suicide survivor, and while I no longer hate myself to the point of self destruction, I am not sure I will ever be able to really “love” myself. However, I am most certainly self-sufficient, which I guess is what is meant here with “being one”. I could say I “coexist” with myself in a sustainable way, and I have a number of interests so vast that I couldn’t be unfulfilled even wanting. As per the question: I didn’t seek love. In my case i…

Thank you. We’re far from perfect, but we have been working non stop (it’s a never ending process) to find our common ground. At the end “masculinity” was never really a topic. The women who loved me did it for what I am. I was bullied as a kid for my interests, but I could never move away from my multifaceted nature. My favorite game with partners has always been to first share my dainty, controlled (feminine?) side in conversations, and then, at the right time unleash the drive my ungodly high…

There is no blanket answer to this. I am an engineer, but also a trained musician and humanist at heart. I play classical music, write poetry, enjoy art history, fashion and fine dining, and I don’t care of “manly” stuff like watching sports. I am good with everything electrical and electronic, but never been into mechanics. For me a car is a means to go from A to B (but I did enjoy driving 180 mph on a German Autobahn). I’ve always said what I was up to. I enjoyed a short lived player (hoe?) phase, but I was always upfront about it, even with those who would have desired more. You overthink it. Not all men are psychos willing to be mad at you. Some just want to know if the reason why can be fixed or not. Sure, if one is ugly without remedy there is not much he can do, and that ask might be naive, but if he’s overweight that could be a good push to get his shit together. There are many stories of guys that got rejected for being chubby and socially awkward, channeled their frustration into fitness, got buff, confident and improved their success

The problem is the formulaic approach to attraction. The idea, that if a men does x and y he will get z. Hence why so many are mad that hobbies, cleaning up their act, hitting the gym was fruitless: we live in a meritocratic society where, in most cases work provides a reward. There is nothing meritocratic in attraction: one could be the best person in the world, but if his love interest isn’t attracted she will decline. Asking for more details is a naive attempt at searching for “what I did wro…

The only unconditional love is for one’s kids. In a relationship everyone has to do their part to make it work. There is no textbook definition about what such “part” is, but it’s better to agree upon it sooner than later or else the relationship won’t last. Too many people, taking their partner for granted begin to slack off, show little care or worse. I wouldn’t call it “transactional”, it’s just what it takes. “Love” (or attraction, infatuation or horniness) won’t last long otherwise

Do you think your work life will be impacted if she declines? Many years ago I opened myself to a colleague I had a huge crush on. She declined very gently, and our work relationship actually improved. She was very nice to me afterwards. But I know of guys that were rejected unkindly, adding insult to injury, and couldn’t stand the workspace anymore. Best of luck whatever you decide

In my line of work there is no wage gap. If a person is not getting paid what they are worth, they are either bad at negotiating or maybe not worth as much as they think they are. Regardless of their gender.

I always loved being pursued, perhaps it’s an ego thing, and in my case, if I was into the lady who pursued me the relationship grew really strong. I felt safe giving all of myself because I already had proof of wild interest towards me: if I don’t feel desired that much I don’t feel like opening myself beyond FWB. I can initiate things, but if the response isn’t fully enthusiastic, I don’t try to force it further

I don't think anything can be done to change things abruptly. I agree and I think it’s a major point. There will be more and more people who will never experience romance and intimacy in the future. And before the howling monkeys around here get all psyched, it goes without saying that no forced dating can, shall, and will be enforced ever in the future, even thinking of it is ridiculous. Those who tell you not to be disheartened are just entitled assholes without the smallest hint of understanding. I had some personal issues that culminated in a suicide attempt. I basically lost all my teen years and a good deal of my twenties. I did a herculean work to mend myself and I got back on track as a successful adult, but with a baggage. While I had sex and romance during my lost years it was nothing close to that of a carefree western young man of the 1990s. My very first relationships after the big gap weren’t optimal, but I corrected the course and improved rapidly. This world is shitty enough…

I can handle different personalities but I certainly can’t tolerate head games, let alone those who play “hard to get”. There’s a time for puppy-like tenderness and a time for animalistic passion, a time for elegance and a time for silliness, a time to share vulnerability and a time to respect each other’s space. I am an adult, multifaceted and multidimensional, I need a string that resonates with me when plucked with all her harmonics, not a mono-dimensional being, be that a mom, a bitch, a fem…

Deep question for me. I am an engineer by trade, but I am also a classically trained musician, composer, I play in a jazz band and as a session musician in a good number of pro bands. I have perfect pitch and music has been my essence since I can remember. My most intense youth relationship, goes without saying, was with a fellow musician. Another is a stiff, clumsy guy who repeats that joke, perhaps with an awkward posture and a funereal facial expression. I think it’s more of a rude awakening. Previously, due to the societal structure it was more “likely” to end up paired. Today women are finally more independent (unfortunately not everywhere as much), hence such likelihood is gone. Many young men are unprepared and disoriented, mixed messages like Be good and you’ll find love - from dumb boomers If you don’t fuck you are a loser - from peers Why do you care this much about sex? - from girls who are having heaps of sex on tap add to the confusion…

Unless one lives in a big city and is involved in many social endeavors, it’s unlikely that a teenager will deal with more than a few dozen people the same age. Not boring, but likely shallow, and oftentimes pigshit ignorant. I noticed it’s so prevalent here in the US, the urge to appear cretinously uninterested. Pursuing is different than getting. And I am not even talking about weirdos, outcasts or NDs, there is plenty of reasonably adjusted (for how much people that age can be adjusted) guys that don’t get any until a later age because they are simply unattractive. Nothing “unfair” about that, but limiting it to “unmotivated” people is reductive. And I think the young age is a good time to make people understand that some will get laid a lot, some less, and that doesn’t make a person better or worse. …

It’s difficult to separate our image from our self. Invalidating our image may legitimately feel (I said feel, not be) like invalidating us as a person: it takes maturity and effort to decouple the two. And where society stands, with pretty privilege being still so prevalent doesn’t help. If the slayer is glorified as a hero even if he’s an asshole and the single is humiliated as a loser, it gets tough not to be touchy if one feels confined to the latter camp

I observed the opposite. Far too many men have been treating women like bangmaids, and are being left behind with no fault divorce and women gaining more and more independence On the other hand, women who don’t need men anymore to survive, are choosing partners who make their life better Previously men could get “a woman” just because they existed, now it’s no longer a given, therefore many men are not willing to put the effort and are left behind

Depends on the "status" we think of. I once had a short situationship with an extremely attractive lady, who wasn't really the sharpest knife in the drawer. She insisted to once go out with me and my friends, I let this happen but if ever, going out with an arm candy could have "tainted" my "status" with my cultivated acquaintances, needless to say, as soon as the novelty wore off, the sit'ship was over. I descend from a line of marquises, but I couldn't care less. It's fun though, especially he…

Men have a major problem with being alone and loneliness. Now women don’t need a man to survive they don’t settle “just because”. Some might take advantage of the ease they can get casual sex with, but most simply enjoy their time, their space, their hobbies and, very important, the social circle they nurtured. The “future cat lady” threat is a projection: many women don’t seem scared at all, it’s mostly men who are petrified by a lonely future. I can’t count how many boomer men I know that went…

I think my attractiveness peaked in my early 30s - at that time I was approached a lot by women ~20 to ~50. Some 20-something wanted something serious I wasn’t interested into at the time. What they all seemed to value, besides my independence, was also my more nuanced, refined and generous approach to intimacy (given that as a mountain cyclist and distance runner my stamina was still at its fullest) as opposed to that of their student acquaintances. I agree some gaps might look eerie, but I’ve …

Naive or loaded question. Such men care about women’s loneliness as much as priests who threaten hell in the hereafter care about souls - it’s people who lost grip and pathetically try to get it back. Since brute force is not allowed anymore, they think threats will work. And might, with some weaker ones, which however are becoming less and less. I did it and was the best idea ever. Prepared the two of us and helped us improve our cohabitation. That’s my train of thought too. Sometimes I run some numbers and plot demographic curves, dialing in other variables like immigration, but I get bored soon. The “cat lady to be” threat doesn’t fly. Many women are ok with staying single, as they build support networks men are not as good at creating. Men checking out isn’t really a threat either, now that women have a choice, they’d rather stay single than ending up with someone undesirable. /r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 07:02 PM

Look, I understand being radical means having two dimensional thinking and some hindrance. But countering just for the sake of countering is cretinous. This girl made $1,030 (one thousand and thirty dollars 0/100) in tips in one week. Not saying all make that much, but it gives you an idea. https://np.reddit.com/r/UNBGBBIIVCHIDCTIICBG/comments/10il3z4/this_is_how_much_a_waitress_earns_at_hooters/?rdt=63142 How much makeup do you buy with 4 additional grands a month? Bullshit. For the same level of service (or less) they would provide in other bars, they get significantly higher tips just because. Bear in mind that tips in the US make up for a major part of a server’s income. Bit of a blanket statement. Grown ass men who believe in fairy tales can only blame themselves. No one worth something would take such a grievance seriously, and it takes no pill to recognize it. There is still a stigma on mental health “eww! I am not crazy!” which is bad. I attempted suicide for how much I hated myself more than twenty years ago. I just felt…

Everyone, women and men alike shall be as picky as they wish, and adjust their standards depending on the desired outcome. “Supply and demand” sounds quite impersonal, but at the end it’s like that. Why should someone who’s a lot of pursuers not choose for the best?

By no means. Self improvement makes me feel better with myself first and foremost. I love playing music and cycling on the mountains: learning a new difficult piece of music, or cycling my way up to an Alpine pass are some of the most rewarding experiences for me. Same goes for becoming a better version of myself. And in my better version, I have attracted more women. Average in many cases, but I am no Paul Newman, so I can’t expect supermodels, but certainly like-minded, and also keen on self i…

One is jealous of something they don’t have, obviously. Be that sex, love, tenderness, affection, sunsets hand in hand, trips, thoughts, poems. The request for a low n-count in most of the cases is simply a clumsy attempt at making one’s own inexperience more acceptable, same as in many cases (if not most) slut shaming is simply sour grapes. I most sincerely hope that the stigma on being single will fade away for good
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 07:20 PM

It is envy, pure and simple. Slut shaming is often motivated by the same reason. It pains being rejected or even only ignored. And unfortunately, differently from other fields where effort pays, if someone is really ugly, or simply not overly outgoing, they might end up alone forever. I don't condone aggression or threats of any kind, but I do have understanding.

No. My wife and I had kids in our upper-mid 30s. I come from a history of abuse and neglect, for many years I didn’t want kids, as I didn’t want to have anyone experience misery. After I put myself together, paternity desire started kicking in, but I didn’t feel “ready”. Yes, I know no one is ever ready enough, but I didn’t feel ready for the kind of selflessness it takes. And I was right. The day I agreed on having kids, I knew I would have gone to the background for a long time. This meant les…

When I was struggling Those where she was struggling too taught me that I am no therapist: I can’t fix someone who’s suffering, and they should get properly treated Those who were healthy and loved me taught me that they deserved someone better than a troubled man who could drag them down an abyss When I was better Those I hadn’t much intellectual connection with were only good for ONS or FWB. The shallowness of some was so strong to almost weaken the physical attraction. Almost all…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 12:49 PM

With a grain of salt. I believe in trying to make the best of what one is. In this sense I try to give some guidance without overstepping too much, as kids are their own persons. But looks is just a part of the equation, this effort is made on all aspects (academic, sport, social, etc.), as “achieving” makes one feel good with themselves, first and foremost
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 11:59 AM

Women of no longitude are in the world to serve men. Full stop. Women are their own persons, have (or should have) freedom and agency, and no reason to be embarrassed therefore. This said, from a mere preference standpoint, I would differentiate within “western” women. I agree Americans are mostly capricious brats, spoiled to the bone, shallower than a puddle of dog piss and pigshit ignorant. Western Europeans (english aside) are far better.

It’s difficult for me to understand, not knowing the fields we are talking about. But if the destination field has people you resonate well with, I would assume that the field itself entails activities you like, then go for it. I am a musician, and while I don’t do it for a living, I built a fairly large social circle around it as a hobby
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/24 01:10 AM

If you choose a field for anyone other than yourself you’re likely going to end up miserable. My line of work is hardcore engineering, I made almost no friend at work and never had a relationship, because the field is sterile and nerdy af, but unfortunately it’s where I landed and it’s still rewarding enough, as a job. I built my social ecosystem on my interests and hobbies, which is where I made friends and got into relationships.

I am not saying celibacy is the endgame. I am simply saying that being needy, or coming off as such isn’t likely to be a successful starting point. Sure, attractive men get ONS easily. But for those who have to put an effort (I’d say most men) it gets more complicated to land a relationship, even FWB without the “house in order” or social proof

I can speak only for my experience. I had relationships when I was a real mess, they didn’t go well. After putting my pieces together, my relational life improved. I have been with the other person because we enjoy each other’s company, not because I “need” her. Sure, a good relationship must entail mutual support, but one cannot expect a therapist: it’s not for a partner to “fix” the other. I would make an adjustment: nurture a pleasant life first. Self-sufficiency is necessary. No healthy relationship can start from a place of need: a girlfriend won’t fix one’s messy existence, and is not supposed to. One has to get heir own house in order, and if that takes therapy so be it. Also, social proof is paramount. First to get an ecosystem in which social connection is easier, and second, because a loner will come off as suspect when not creepy. The above, of course counts if one wants …

Between a "submissive housewife" (ick) and a ludicrous "gUrLboSz!1!!" (ick²) there are better relational styles. "Any man who must say, 'I am the king' is no true king." Same goes for "kweens". A confident individual (regardless of the gender) will be able to assert their boundaries with calm and grace, without having to flex muscles or pound their chests. Even if women will ever be on the initiating side, I doubt this will ever result in a broadening (or lowering) of standards: they would still be after the top men and ever larger swathes of the male population will remain unpartnered.

There can be different flavors to it, for example there are Those who are mad at women (wouldn’t necessarily say “hate”) because they were hurt or can’t get one Those who don’t accept emancipation (because of religion, conservatism, or whatever other reason) There could be more, but these come to mind first. The two can also intertwine or be consequential: I saw men that called themselves “feminists” as an orbiting strategy who then engaged in both above behaviors after rejections, there are hur…

Is there an InterNations chapter in your city? /r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 01:55 AM

If the beta guy has little to no sex, because she “needed” to settle down but is not attracted is at very high risk of being cheated on because of the above, or being left for a more attractive or richer beta has to be a stepfather (with perhaps a significant financial burden) to someone else’s offspring, at the risk of hearing “YOU’RE NOT MY FATHER!” or worse, having the asshole father popping up from time to time and messing things up I’m not sure staying single would be a worse alternative
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 05:43 PM

To love or to end up with? OP speaks of “needing to settle down”. That “need” thing is where my question originates: we are not talking about an ace (OP also mentions a certain past), but someone that, with a robust sex drive and a considerable experience, at the end “settles”. Putting aside vitriol and pills (please) I think it would be interesting to know how many men accept an undignified relationship (and perhaps infidelity) just because they aren’t able to accept to stay single.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 05:12 PM

Ok, I guess. But for me to understand (I am not pilled in any color), in the specific case of being a lesser choice, do you suggest one should take whatever he can get, even if the risk of being cheated on is high? Pills aside, I would think that sometimes nothing might really the better choice. I know many men who ended up with tragically bad partners because they were terrorized of being alone and ignored even the most evident red flags. This connects to my suggestion of pursuing self sufficie…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 03:52 PM

You are mixing a lot of takes here. About the second one: beggars can’t be choosers, ça va sans dire. This said, though, if someone knows he’s a “lesser” choice, the doubt that she might cheat with someone she finds more attractive might not be baseless. There are people IRL who accept the risk (and the actual cheating), some who don’t even notice, and some who prefer to avoid the risk; I would think the latter are a slight (albeit vocal) minority, given the terror many men have to “end up alone…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 03:32 PM

If one is a second (or third, or…) choice, the risk of being discarded for someone deemed better is reasonably high. At that point perhaps “nothing” might be a better option, on the long run.

In reality my familial and personal history is a trainwreck to say the least. I also had several bad relationships and a very long dry spell. After recovering (took years), I started dealing with "saner" people, therefore, I guess, their behavior was more decent. I'd also add, that women are perhaps better at rejecting, as they have to do that more often than men.

As a man I don't think rejection is inherently embarrassing. I was rejected only a handful of times, but only because I approached very rarely, due to fear of rejection. But I have to admit, even those that were honestly telling to be not into me (hence not bringing boyfriends up) did it with such a grace that didn't make me feel bad. I personally achieve a lot with concentration. Just keep moving, but focus your thought for a moment somewhere else, it’s something you can also practice solo. Of course not to the point to appear distant or disengaged, simply switching the gear on neutral while the car is going. Economic and societal independence and freedom of choice for women are restoring some sort of “natural selection” in the west (excluding immigrants). I am not judging it positively or negatively, just observing: many men who could have had a family a couple decades ago are now destined to not pass on their genes. I’ll be dead at the time, but I’d be genuinely curious to look at the societal outcome a couple generations from now: attractiveness has no correlation with societally positive values.

Perhaps men that are decent AND attractive are rare. There is plenty of “decent” (I mean REALLY decent, not the sketchy “nice guys”) men who were dealt shitty cards by the attractiveness lottery who even taking care of their looks and social sphere end up alone. And with this I am by no means implying people should go for partners they are not attracted to, just remark that in a world that has improved and evolved around merit, something as irrational as attraction is a bitch.

Sure, some are tough to spot because they’re manipulative and deceptive, some simply turn out unfit for the challenge, but many are just unequivocally trash and don’t do a lot to mask it. If one (no matter man or woman) is that much of a cretin not to get the hints just because attraction clouds their judgement, joke’s on them.

I would imagine the reason for the distortion is somehow related to the human urge to quantify and classify. A higher selectivity (a.k.a. hypergamy) is observed in women’s partner choice, which is perfectly reasonable due to the enormous imbalance of investment (the man can walk away post-intercourse, the woman has 9 months of a potentially life threatening condition in front of her). Some try to lock this well known biological scenario to a well known statistical principle, I guess in order to …

Doing things under pressure is a recipe for disaster. Threats of a bad future (loneliness, health deterioration and the usual hell by religious buffoons) are just desperate attempts at controlling free will, I assume they will fade away for good in the near future. Starting a family must be yours and your partner’s own desire only, also a huge effort BOTH are willing to take (yep, daddy be prepared to wake up 3/4 times a night to give the bottle, soothe and change diapers) out of own will, not “…

For my persona (others will certainly have it different), it’s been true in every social interaction, work, relationships and hobbies alike. I used to be more on the introvert side which meant losing “ground” to more outgoing people. I tried to act flamboyant, and it simply wasn’t me. It functions well with the people I prefer mingling with.

The only needy men I know who had some kind of success at dating are those able to initially hide their neediness behind an appearance of confidence. As soon as their neediness surfaces, things change real quick.

I didn’t imply you did, nor I was questioning what you said, just expanding the discourse simply focusing on the very particular case of people who check all boxes besides the looks. You were mentioning that sometimes it could be behavioral unattractiveness, which can be worked on. But in those cases where it’s really only about really bad looks, I honestly don’t know what can be done.

The merely physically “below average” point is not moot. I don’t believe in pills or percentages, but one thing that drives me nuts even as a fairly successful guy is the bs “there’s someone for everyone out there”. No. There are neurotypical, well adjusted, cultivated, social people who just were dealt shitty cards by genetics and who even pursuing a healthy lifestyle and looksmaxxing might very well never experience intimacy or romance. There is possibly nothing that can be done in this case. …

The problem here doesn’t seem to be lack of chemistry, more so of honest communication. According to wife’s report, the husband has started giving less and less attention (“the things he used to do”), to which she responded distancing herself. Two mature adults would have tried to solve it bringing up what was going on before letting the chemistry fade away

Lack of communication is not cheating. But still I can’t understand why do couples let things fester until it’s too late. I don’t think a couple can survive without honest communication, even if there’s no cheating involved.

For me “slutty” doesn’t mean “up for sex”. That sounds dangerously on the lines of “if she wore that, she was looking for it”. To me “slutty” means vulgar, over revealing and attention seeking. Too short, too open, too transparent, too heavy (make up), too high (heels), too loud, too much swaying. For my personal aesthetics, “slutty” is a major turnoff, whereas the “right” display of elegance and femininity can be explosive.

No looks/no pers: no interest/creep Looks/No pers: ONS/casual sex (if one is into it) No looks/pers: platonic (friendzone) Looks/pers: LTR (FWB for lack of commitment) And “looks” is not always objective: some women fancy apemen who could very well be the missing link, some prefer diaphanous, feminine dudes, and everything in between. It’s no rocket science. Inhibitions and fears can be solved (a compassionate partner might expedite this, but not many are willing to go through this), like many other mental superstructures. Once they are out of the way, if one puts the effort to discover what pleases the other and works toward that goal, while keeping an adequate stamina, great results can be achieved.
