Find someone who doesn’t criticize your hobbies. Most girls I’ve dated didn’t care if I played video games, or had nerdy hobbies. Not all women want to criticize your hobbies.

This is what this sub should be about. Men taking the initiative to improve themselves and their lives and inspiring others to do the same. Instead of whining and complaining that the world isn’t fair, or that you’re single, fucking do something about your situation. Thank you for sharing and making Reddit a better place!

She was semi-famous actress before she got married.

Nah this meme sucks bro. I've dated women taller, shorter, younger, older, more successful, more educated, more fit, more outgoing, and more attractive than me. So have most of my friends (granted my friend circle is small). So don't use any of that as an excuse. A job, a living space, and a mode of transportation are all very basic things that an adult should have. If you are a grown adult who's out of school and you don't have a job, car, apartment, or any combination of the three, you're goin…

This isn't simply men going their own way - this is some juvenile, deluded thinking and woman hating. The only reason I can figure that someone would relate to this meme is that a girl hurt their feelings and they are bitter about it. I used to think this was a sub for people who chose to focus on self improvement over chasing women and relationships. Now every meme on here is a bitter, stereotypical "Stacy and Chad's r badd!!" Thing that's completely divorced from reality. The people on this su…

You can't just go to jail for saying you did something though. If I said I started the Holocaust, I wouldn't be executed for a war crime.

She was like 7 or 8 and she looked at her little sisters vagina out of curiosity. Pretty far cry from an adult serial rapist.

Nobody is saying there needs to be less masculinity. They're saying there needs to be less toxic masculinity.

So you're saying there's a problem with the patriarchy

I was kind of going along with the first part of what you said but then you called women lazy sluts and gave me a reason to believe this whole sub is full of bitter, lonely, women bashing adolescent who can only think in generalities and extremes. Someone makes a meme like this and some people in this sub adopt that meme as their whole world view without any further critical thought or research.

This sub is fascinating. One week the top post will be a meme like this one criticizing toxic/harmful masculine constructs. A week later, the top post will be a meme about how toxic masculinity doesnt exist.

It's pretty much a fact that sexual abuse in childhood causes issues in adult hood. I defy you to link one credible scientific or psychological study that says otherwise. You are totally talking out of your ass.

First off, when you start an argument with an insult it gives the other party a reason to completely discount the rest of your message. Second, these aren't real people. Also, Forest was never raped. Also, people process trauma differently. Also, Forest had a pretty blessed life. Also, hes a fictional character and not of his life events actually happened and a real mentally challenged person may not handle things the way a real fictional character would.

Don't mistake reasons for excuses. You're putting words in my mouth. Behavioral psychology is a social... what now? Science? Okay then. Youve obviously single handedly figured out how the entire world works and know more about everyone's circumstances than they do. You also apparently know more about social psychology than all the data in the world. For someone who's outlooks are so simple, you sure are confident you know more than everyone else.

Theres pretty good science that says a shitty childhood = a shitty adult life. Child rape and negligent alcoholic parents lead to unstable children. There are exceptions of course. But I feel like you're trying to oversimplify trauma's affects of life trajectories to justify your brute, simple opinion of Jenny and women in general.

That's an oversimplification of the story and you missed all the nuance and character development the creators worked so hard to put into the story. I get that the easiest way to have an opinion is to look at it on the surface level (she's a "cunt"), but if you keep an oversimplified viewpoint on things you wind up missing things. She came back to Forest around the time she got sick. He had money (not rich) before that. Facing her mortality made her realize what was important in life, and she wa…

"Jenny had secks and did drugs so she's a fucking bitch!". Jenny was raped at a young age in the story and had a pretty traumatic upbringing. The depression and lifelong psychological issues that come from that often lead people to unhealthy coping mechanisms (drugs and sex). It's basic human psychology. Forest was the only man in her life that didn't treat her like garbage, and she didn't know how to handle that. She was conditioned to believe she only deserved shitty men. That's a big reason w…
