Financial support obligations are not equivalent to pregnancy. While involuntary fatherhood may be unfair, it is not the same degree of pure tyranny as forced pregnancy. Bodily autonomy is a fundamental human right. I say this as a male.

I find chubby women sexy tbh.

Leftists didn’t invent that prescription. I will say about the paedo thing that child grooming is likely a consequence of the legal and economic power adults wield over children. Most child rapes are not done by internet strangers, but by parents, teachers, and trusted adults in positions of authority over children. In a more egalitarian or anarchist cultural context, we might not be worrying about issues like “grooming”, because there is no power dynamic.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/22 07:14 AM

Yes, but the left doesn’t support that, especially not anarchists like myself. You claimed the left assigned or supported the roles of “adult” vs “child” in society, when in fact that is done by capitalism and nation-states. You may agree with it or not, but don’t claim leftists made it up, we take no responsibility for the creation of those societal constructs.

Leftist here, I don’t believe in that all that stuff you said about the role of “adults” vs “children” in society, other than the obvious fact that parents must take care of children, though I don’t think adults are obligated to become parents. As an anarchist, I think that modern societal attitudes towards children are highly coercive and involve lots of statist intervention. The government defines when a child becomes an adult, for the purposes of the capitalist system.

I suspect the recent gap can be accounted for by a decline in maternal mortality rates, which removed one of the major causes of female early mortality. Because males have this biological disadvantage, while both sexes are living longer, healthier lives, females have an edge in longevity due to genetics and hormones, as well as possibly behavioural differences between the sexes. Do keep in mind that both XY and ZW chromosome species tend to have similar patterns of sexual selection and male-male…
/r/AntiFeminists01/09/22 01:27 PM
1

Except we observe these patterns in other species. XY chromosomes, females outlive males ZW chromosomes, males outlive females Explain that pattern. No, I’m not saying we shouldn’t pay attention to men’s poor health, just that female longevity is the biological norm, and that greater male lifespans (in an XY chromosome species) generally mean something is wrong for females.
/r/AntiFeminists01/09/22 04:55 AM
1

Women biologically have longer lives that men, and it’s due to chromosomes and hormones. In species with ZW chromosome systems, males tend to outlive females, while in XY chromosome systems, it tends to be the reverse. Also, eunuchs seem to have longer lifespans than average males, implying that testosterone can shorten lifespan. If men are outliving women in a human culture, this deviates from the biological norm, and implies that something is shortening women’s lifespans more than men’s.

Wow you really missed the point of my post, and you cry “misandry” without reading properly. God you troglodytes are hopeless.

I’m not blaming you for anything, I’m pointing out the fact that women feel unsafe in society, so they look for men with dominating and protective traits, such as height or physical strength for example.

The person wouldn’t be poor in the first place if we didn’t live in a capitalist society with private property rights. You’re looking at a collective social problem from an individualistic lens, which is a thing that right-leaning people tend to do a lot, and it annoys the hell out of me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 04:10 PM
1

Are you suggesting I am individually, personally responsible for housing millions of homeless people on the streets? Maybe if I had a TARDIS which was bigger on the inside? 🤣 These kinds of issues are at a collective level, and probably need full-blown political revolutions to fix.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:56 PM
1

I think you completely miss the point. Capitalism is based on feudal private property rights over land and resources, and the landlords and owners of property can collect rent and profit simply for arbitrary land ownership. This is a clearly coercive and violent system to extract rent out of the majority of people to profit a minority of extremely wealthy people. Medieval feudalism never ended, it just became capitalism.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:43 PM
1

Why are they poor in the first place is the more important question? The answer is, because governments enforce property claims over land and scarce resources that NO ONE created, but some people managed to seize and conquer, so they made it their own, and passed their wealth to future generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:29 PM
1

No, opportunities are withheld, not given, by the owners of capital and resources. The poor are being fenced off from the common resources of the planet by state violence, and have to grovel at the feet of the ruling classes.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:19 PM
1

I would argue the entire capitalist system is coercive and authoritarian. Those who own the means of production, land and resources can force labour out of people who don’t for their economic benefit.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 02:59 PM

Isn’t poverty a form of coercion? She can’t refuse sex if she literally needs to do it to survive, so it doesn’t meet the criteria required for consent, she lacks the ability to opt-out of sex she doesn’t want.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 02:19 PM

Depends, are the prostitutes going to fall into poverty and starvation if they don’t have sex, or do they have other employment options? I assess such questions on a case-by-case basis.

I do believe that neurobiology is a major aspect of our psychology. However, I disagree with the field of evolutionary psychology, because I don’t think the mind is massively modular, or like a “swiss army knife”.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:31 AM
1

So evolved psychology then?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:10 AM
1

What do you mean when you say things like risk-taking are biological? Do you mean like women avoid risk because of childcare responsibilities, or more like men have an evolved psychological disposition towards risk-taking?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:05 AM
1

“We evolved to have an orgasm gap.” This is blatantly false. As I have said before, the inability of straight women to orgasm is caused by men’s inability or unwillingness to sexually stimulate women in the ways that they like. Lesbians orgasm as much as men do. This is something men can learn to be better at, not some preordained “natural order” that will never go away.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 02:51 AM
1

Sexual pleasure is adaptive because it motivates sexual activity, leading to procreation. Also, there are multiple evolutionary reasons for sex besides procreation, such as social bonding, like in bonobos for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 02:27 AM
1

Look, you could argue that biological factors, like the fact that men orgasm differently from women, i.e. faster and have a refractory period, play a role in heterosexual dynamics. This doesn’t change the fact that heterosexual sex tends to emphasise men’s pleasure at the expense of women’s, i.e. penetration is seen as the “main course”, while anything that gets a woman off, like eating her out, using sex toys, kissing, fingering, etc. is seen as “foreplay”.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 01:28 AM
2

We both agree I think now we understand each other’s position.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 12:59 AM
1

Ahh, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying that most women can orgasm from penetration ALONE, which is very much in contradiction with empirical evidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 12:50 AM
1

Well it does seem highly likely likely that the oral sex gap contributes to the orgasm gap. There are probably multiple reasons for the gap, but it’s most likely a lack of clitoral stimulation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 12:35 AM
1

Empirical research shows that most women require clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm, and that there is an “oral sex gap” where men are more likely to receive oral sex from women than vice versa. These are statistical facts, it is not a debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 12:31 AM
1

Well some women have sensitive G-spots that make it easier to orgasm via penetration, however this is still technically a form of clitoral stimulation. Most women require clitoral stimulation to orgasm, and a lot of women fake orgasms to avoid offending their male partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 12:07 AM
1

Exactly, because men focus too much on penetration and not enough on what makes a woman cum.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 12:05 AM
2

Oh yes certainly there are differences, women can have multiple orgasms, and penetration gives men more pleasure than women, but women usually need clitoral stimulation. It seems that heterosexuals are really bound by sexual scripts, whereas gay men and lesbians are more free to deviate from gender norms.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 03:47 PM
2

It’s certainly controversial, especially the modularity of mind hypothesis.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 03:44 PM
3

I think sexual orientation is hardwired in the brain at birth, and it’s fixed and immutable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 02:49 PM
3

I don’t know if homosexuality is adaptive or simply a spandrel, since it doesn’t produce offspring, yet it seems genetic.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 02:20 PM
3

If it’s easier for men, why do lesbians orgasm as much as men do? Women orgasm differently, but the orgasm gap only exists between heterosexual men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 01:33 PM
2

Yeah it’s awful. Women should know how to please themselves without a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 11:25 AM
2

Men do need to develop the patience and effort to make women orgasm if they want to have casual sex with them, otherwise women won’t be willing to engage in casual sex with men at all. Alcohol acts as a disinhibitor, making women less concerned about the risks of sex, so they are more likely to be willing under the influence. It doesn’t affect men so much, because the risks are much lower.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 09:29 AM
1

Got it
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 09:03 AM
1

No I never said that, I think men and women have equal expectations of pleasure if they mutually agree to have sex. The fact that you don’t think women are entitled to pleasure, but men are, implies that you think men’s needs are more important. Why should women even have sex with men at all if they can’t give them an orgasm? Maybe to reproduce if they want children, but these days sperm donation is a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 07:54 AM
2

I think if the man is good, the woman will take a couple minutes to orgasm. Also, he can make her cum first then get himself off fast. It’s not selfish for women to expect pleasure after sex, if she is literally having sex for the sake of pleasure.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 07:32 AM
1

You misunderstand. Lesbians orgasm AS OFTEN as men do, they aren’t worse at it. The inability to orgasm only applies to straight women. The fact that women can’t know a man’s sexual skills until they have sex with him, means that women cannot be responsible for men’s poor sexual performance. She can’t know who is good or not until she tries sleeping with him. If women are slower to orgasm, it means that men must take the time after he orgasms to make sure she gets off too. If he just ditches her…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 07:18 AM
2

It is necessary for reproduction (in species with female choice in mating). If women are only having sex with men due to being dependent on them for resources, that IS rape, since if they refuse mating, they die from lack of access to those resources. You just seem wilfully ignorant of the fact that women do seek sex for personal pleasure and not just to extract resources. Prostitution and paid sex is the exception, not the rule.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 07:12 AM
2

Why shouldn’t women complain if men are too selfish to even bother trying to give them an orgasm? If a woman is choosing to have casual sex, she has an expectation to get pleasure out of it, otherwise she wouldn’t be making that choice, so when men perform badly, it means that the sexual encounter is a failure for the woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 07:07 AM
1

But in a species where female choice determines mating outcomes, a capacity for orgasm is necessary to incentivise females to mate. Females that biologically cannot orgasm, don’t mate, and don’t pass on their genes.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 07:02 AM
1

Female choice of mates, not orgasm. If women’s orgasm problems come from men’s poor sexual skills, that is the men’s responsibility to improve those skills and get better at giving pleasure. Since lesbians orgasm at the same rate straight men do, this implies that straight women’s orgasm issues come from the men’s sexual performance.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:57 AM
3

The man could orgasm first and then eat the woman out, or she could orgasm first and then he has his orgasm. Some women and some men orgasm faster than others, although men I think are usually faster. Also, women can have multiple orgasms, but men evolved a refractory period, likely to give time to replenish the sperm supply.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:52 AM
3

In any species where female choice mostly determines mating outcomes, female orgasm is adaptive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:49 AM
2

They did test it, the study demonstrated that casual sex differences were mediated by stigma awareness. That is observation and data collection, not speculation and conjecture.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:48 AM
2

Females are more likely to orgasm if they are attracted to their mate, that would seem to make logical sense. In species where female choice is involved in mating, females would have evolved a capacity for orgasm, i.e. a functional clitoris and female orgasm is adaptive evolutionarily.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:47 AM
4

Anyway, the evidence suggests the orgasm problems only exist for straight women, lesbians orgasm just as much as men do, so therefore the orgasm gap cannot be biological.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:36 AM
5

Well you seem to be suggesting that clitorises aren’t necessary for human reproduction, but this relies on the assumption that rape is the primary or exclusive form of human reproduction, which just doesn’t reflect reality. If rape isn’t the primary or exclusive form of reproduction, females will evolve a drive to mate, and oestrus or heat is an example of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:34 AM
1

Then why does the study say that stigma awareness influences casual sex behaviours in gays and lesbians?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:29 AM
3

Females don’t consciously go for the “best genes”, they see an attractive male and mate with him. Also, female choosiness varies by species, in some animals, females will mate with anyone in heat, while in others, they only go for a small minority of males.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:29 AM
5

In most species, females mate willingly when in heat or oestrus. Rape in species like ducks is the exception rather than the rule. While rape does occur in nature, it isn’t the dominant form of reproduction across the board. Male ducks literally evolved corkscrew penises to attack the corkscrew vaginas of female ducks. Clearly human genital anatomy didn’t evolve that way, so we aren’t a rape-only reproduction species.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:22 AM
2

Why do you think lesbians wouldn’t care about their social reputation? Humans are a fundamentally social animal, and we naturally care what our peers think of us.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:20 AM
3

For this argument to make sense, close to 100% of pregnancies would have to have been conceived of rape for over 99.9% of our human history. We know that in most species, females mate willingly, usually during oestrus or heat.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:19 AM
4

Why the fuck would females bother mating if their clitoris doesn’t work? If female animals don’t get sexual stimulation, they don’t try to mate, and don’t produce offspring.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:05 AM
6

The reason it doesn’t show in same-sex relationships is because men suck at making women orgasm, not because women lack orgasm capacity. Lesbians orgasm at the same rate gay and straight men do, but straight women have trouble orgasming.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:03 AM
4

If women had no sexual motivation, why would they bother having sex at all? Would a female without a clitoris even be interested in mating?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:02 AM
4

I disagree with that claim, the physical mechanics of clitoral stimulation should be similar to penile stimulation. I think men are just worse at giving head, since they don’t do it often enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 06:00 AM

Slut-shaming is done by society in general, not specific groups of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 05:58 AM

Certainly, the theoretical assumptions of the field, particularly the massive modularity hypothesis, are very controversial.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 05:58 AM

That sounds like very reasonable and common-sense advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 05:47 AM

Gay men have more casual sex, because there is a sexual double standard where women are judged for sleeping around, so lesbians are inhibited by the stigma of being labeled a “slut”.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 05:35 AM
4

The vast majority of women require clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm. The issue is, most heterosexual casual sex focuses on penetration, so the woman has difficulty getting off.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 05:30 AM
3

I do think that some women are very sexually repressed and haven’t really explored their own bodies out of internalised societal stigma, i.e. they think masturbation is “filthy” and “unladylike”.

They call themselves Blue-Pillers here because that’s the jargon used in the debate. Blue-Pill isn’t actually a philosophy, it’s just people who disagree with Red-Pill philosophy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 04:38 AM
55

The Blue Pill isn’t a philosophy, it’s a term Red-Pillers use to describe people who don’t subscribe to their philosophy. Jews for example refer to non-Jews as Gentiles, but Gentiles don’t go around calling themselves Gentiles, it’s an imposed label. “Blue-Pillers” don’t go around calling themselves Blue-Pilled, because the Blue Pill isn’t an actual ideology. Blue Pill is a philosophy like atheism is a religion, i.e. the absence of a belief gets labeled as a belief.

Female paedophiles don’t get light sentences “because feminism”, it’s because males are seen as having a higher sex drive, and assumed that they actually enjoyed the sex. Many people think young boys having sex with attractive adult women are “getting lucky”, so to speak.
/r/AntiFeminists15/08/22 09:39 PM

True, Australian Aboriginal cultures were particularly patriarchal, and marriage was seen as an alliance between kin groups, rather than for love or emotional connection.
