The Empathy Gap It’s deeply grained in us unfortunately. If you follow the wire basically everything leads back to basic evolution (in my opinion). Women get the benefit of the doubt because they have biological value, men do not. It’s costs nothing for people to shun/shame/hate a male.

We’ll yes, that’s exactly my point. Those things SHOULD be separated but they are not. Only women currently have the right to vote, for men it’s a privilege that is counterbalanced by their bodies being owned by the government in times of need (Selective service, drafts. What’s also bizarre about that sub is that half of the posts there are basically some variation of “how to stop being an evil, toxic, lazy sack of shit, so that women aren’t hurt by you.” It’s an incredibly ingenuous sub, there’s very little posted that is actually about men’s issues. Then it’s not a fucking patriarchy we live in. You can argue day and night about nuanced societal issues on which gender “has it worse”, but at the end of the day, the gender that is choosing to literally end their human experience at 4x a higher rate than the other probably has it worse.
