I think the word 'tool' and the connotation surronding it is a pretty bad thing to strive towards, I think being 'aloof' seems to fit better

Recently beat it. Honestly, in my opinion the best and only way to get rid of oneitis is to throw it out. Yes, this may seem like a waste, but do yourself a favor and forget her. The possibility of being with her is not worth all the pain that goes along with the longing and want. Ive been there, and it hurts. How do you simply forget about her you may ask? I dont know. Yes, I can agree that some mental illnesses are rather tragic and extremely hard to be in a relationship with, but Its incredibly rude to suggest to just throw away all those with mental disorders as potential partners. I mean, we're people too :(

While there was a good majority of good advice in there, I am strongly offended by the part about "ditching the few with mental disabilities". An ADHD'er myself, my life has been very successful (while difficult) and has gotten even better through seddit. My Ex was also an ADHD'er, and she was wonderful and like minded as myself. However, it wasnt because of her personality that we split. TLDR; good post for the most part, didnt agree with a few parts.
