I very much agree with the principle of this piece, but there are several points I disagree with. First, insurance companies are not saying that your penis makes you drive worse. They are saying that being male correlates with worse driving, which doesn't imply that being male causes worse driving directly; it's simply one useful way to gauge how good of a driver someone may be. Are companies supposed to ignore information to their own detriment because people may not like it? By charging more or less for different races' insurance, they aren't even necessarily saying that race causes better or worse driving; they're simply saying they're correlated. Had he never taken action, no one would have seen this, nothing would have been done, and they would have gotten off free. The only justifications have to do with aesthetics or the ability to clean. Neither are actual medical issues. It removes a significant portion of the nerves. Young boys tend to want to play with boys and young girls tend to want to play with girls.
