it would be a win/win between you and her husband as you would have more control over your rent , and him an additional income . if your mother ask for you to pay her rent, you just have to tell her to ask her husband if she wants a share. Just looked at your other post, you live in a second apartment OWNED by her husband (that she hates) but pay the rent to HER , that in itself is a problem, you should be paying rent to the owner of the apartment , that should put a screen between you and your mother, making it more difficult for her to triple your rent as you would have an agreement with the true owner. I don't know your relation with her husband but you may be able to agree on something much better than what you've been living …

I think that at the FIRST sign of pregnancy, both parents should have a kind of official contract stating if one or the other want the child of not, if the father chooses not to, the mother has the choice of either having the baby without child support, or not to have it ( assuming that they can if wanted ). the problem comes when the mother doesn't want the child, i don't know what would be the more ethical between 1.Not having the baby because she doesn't want to go through pregnancy and birth…
