Seriously. Cops almost always depend on idiots continuing to talk. When a cops says stop talking you know he's either looking out for you or doesn't want to do the additional paperwork.

He needs reasonable and articulatable suspicion that she was drunk in order to do that. Something like slurred speech, the smell of alcohol, etc. The bar isn't high but it's also not just because the cop might think she's drunk for being a massive bitch lol. And even thought she said, "Test me!" doesn't mean she won't refuse later on, which I'm sure she would have.

Genuinely curious if this would meet the self defense claim in law or not. Not if it should, but if it would. At what point are people supposed to just allow themselves to be struck?

It's always disturbing when people go to places that fast like that. Reminds me of the people who opposed gay marriage and would say, "Well this is just going to lead to beastiality!" Like ... what?

I like what Bill Burr once said. Basically that women should blast each other in the face sometimes like guys do. He said it sort of brings you back down to Earth and on the way home you think to yourself, "You know what? Maybe I did go a bit too far back there."

That's not true at all. Setting aside how stupid it is to prosecute someone for creation of child porn when they're literally the person taking the photo of themselves (that I agree is dumb) the photo still has to be sexual in nature to be considered porn. Simple nude photos don't make the cut, they have to be suggestive in some way. What you described as a "selfie" is instead literally pornography.
/r/PussyPassDenied16/12/20 06:19 AM
1

Okay, so ... That might actually be considered child porn because it focused on her vagina. In other comments in this thread I wasn't sure but based on that I can't see why they didn't at least push the charge and see how it panned out in court. I genuinely wonder what the DA was thinking.

The issue is if the video would be considered pornography or not. The 16 year old example was almost certainly considered pornography, even if it was of an adult, whereas a home video of a kid may not be. There are definitions used to determine if it is or isn't. The real issue is her peddling it off as something sexual. That doesn't make the video sexual itself but her intent was obviously to distribute it as though it were. I'm actually not sure if that would be a legal case for distribution t…

Calling an adult teenager a "child" is dishonest. Now if you're arguing that the difference between a 17 or even 16 year old and an 18 year old isn't that great then just make that case. The age of consent isn't a magic number, it's more of a guide, and various states and countries differ in their idea of what age a person is able to consent but the vast majority agree it's at least around 18, give or take a couple years. Referring to them as "children" is confusing at best, though. When people …

It's more than just that. CP isn't simply just an underage person naked. It also has to be sexual in some way. Now that could mean a variety of different things, from focusing on certain body parts or even taking certain suggestive poses. The reason they added those stipulations for the definition of CP is to prevent prosecution for things like private photos or movies of your kids (doing mundane things or that childhood photo of you as a baby being given a bath) as well as " " " art " " " displ…

She's also young and likely surrounded by people who told her/taught her this is something you can do and get away with. Hopefully she learns from this and starts breaking free of the echo chamber that made her think acting like this is alright.

No what he means is that women are generally less violent and the violence that does occur isn't as deadly in women's prisons. Men's prisons are filled with guys getting jacked and working out, making shanks, ready to pop off and have race riots at the drop of a fucking hat. Women's prisons don't function the same way. It's actually one of the most interesting ways to show how men and women are different. Women often gain weight in prison. They don't generally segregate themselves by race and if…

I think some girls while growing up confuse size with strength. To be fair some boys do too, but women especially seem to think they can use their bulk against boys only to find out weight and even height doesn't equate to being able to fight.

It's the same stupid ass idea that has turned magazines like GQ into watered down trash. Men and women often like different things. Have different tastes. Appeal to different hobbies. There's nothing wrong with that, nor is there a problem with WOMEN doing the same fucking thing. Never in history have men risen up and said, "DAMN! I wish Cosmo appealed more to ME!" Do your own fucking thing and let us do ours. Holy shit.

Wait ... how the hell do they square that circle then? Age of consent is 16, but you can be charged with anyone under 19? I don't get it. The student/teacher issue I get, but how certain states have such a low age of consent but still charge people is a bit beyond my knowledge.

That isn't the issue with this particular charge. This is literally the charge she's getting, so it has nothing to do with her gender. If it was a guy it would be the exact same charge. The charges vary state by state, with some places having different tiered charges if the minor is above or below 14 for example. I have to admit I've never heard of a law that used below 19, but it's possible that the state only has that charge and doesn't make a distinction between a younger minor and an older o…

He is. He's not perfect and there are flaws in some of his arguments but he's human and he'll admit it if he's shown to be wrong. That's a rare thing to find in people. At the moment he has sort of a following of people who take every word he says as gospel, so I'd caution against that kind of thinking. That said he uses logic, reasoning, and facts to make very good points.

You'd be fucking shocked at the amount of crime that's found out after a nasty divorce or break up. I know of a case where a company was funneling hundreds of millions of dollars from government contracts for several decades. Did they slip up and get caught? Nope. One of the family members cheated on his wife, they went through a nasty divorce, and the soon to be ex wife used everything she had on him to get the better of him. As a result the crimes were found out and a lot of the family was for…

The Iron Cross has a mixed history. Yes it was used by the Nazis but it predates the Nazis by more than a century. It was used by the Prussians and Germans for well over a hundred years before the Nazi adopted it. In fact if you look at a lot of the WW1 imagery you can see it on a lot of their military regalia. It was also one of the highest awards to be given before Hitler was even born. That said the Nazis did use it and incorporated it into their iconography. Usually they'd add a Swastika on …

Pedophile isn't used for various reasons. First of all it's not technically correct. Second, there's no real law that refers to pedophilia. It's mostly used in the medical field and isn't in any law I've ever seen. Most of the time laws just take an age and say either a minor above or below whatever that age is. Most state laws I've seen are 14. The severity of the charges being much greater if the victim was under 14. All that said, I had a teacher I wanted to bang at 14. Was I emotionally prep…

Pilots are THE one and only boss on an aircraft. The plane might be owned by the airline but when he's in command it's his aircraft. If he says you get off, you fucking get off. He wasn't about to take a chance that there was going to be an incident 30,000 feet in the air that would cause him to divert. I can hardly blame him.

Older generations of Mexicans used to consider themselves white, and with fairly good reason. The vast majority of their DNA is European (Spanish). But people only see a darker shade of brown than theirs sometimes. Hell, just look at the older government forms that would ask for your race. "Hispanic" and "Caucasian of non Hispanic heritage" didn't exist.

/r/PussyPassDenied02/03/17 03:48 PM

The idea behind it is that most men are larger and stronger than most women (averages, I mean). So the whole "don't hit women" is a partial off shoot of "don't get in a fight with someone smaller than you." If someone comes at you, though, then you should defend yourself. Just always keep it in proportion to what is required to tame the situation. Otherwise you're looking at escalation, which means you're now in trouble.

If this was a fight between two animals, he's a great white that just ate her (thereby getting AIDS) but right before getting killed she poked him in the eye, making him tear up a bit. She had a few marginal lines in her attempts, but it was a clear loss. With practice and a bit more time developing her jokes she could get better, though. She seemed to have a good sense of humor about the whole thing, she just seemed way out of his league. She should spend more time writing.

EVERY single great comedians had really shitty material that they worked out while doing comedy clubs. It's how you learn and grow, not to mention how you test new bits and material. You could easily find any comedian telling shit jokes in a small club that would never make it to the larger tours or shows.

If a woman has the balls and proves herself by becoming a SEAL she's basically just another brother. These teams are already really close. They're not strangers tagging along with other strangers. If you honestly think someone will choose to help a woman just because she's a woman, specifically on a SEAL team, then you're living in the land of theory, not reality. Reality is a whole lot different than simple hypotheticals.

There are many things in it that aren't in the eventual government after being created, and there are many things in the government that was created that wasn't in the articles.
