Okay I know where I am and all but god this joke upsets me. It simultaneously devalues the work traditionally seen as "a woman's role" e.g. childcare, while also enforcing stereotypes of toxic relationships. My grandfather hasn't "provided" (in the traditional sense) for my father in decades, or ever for me, yet we both love him.
