People do tend to prioritize themselves, at least in some ways... The compromise for a lot of people is in the give and take, which is often conveniently overlooked... As an example, maybe the man who wants his wife to have long hair will shave his beard if she preferred a smooth faced man. As for the control freak thing, it's probably not exhausting to someone who doesn't like to make decisions or be in charge... Finding that in a woman in the Western world is rare these days though. I personal…

I find it hypocritical that people who hate women working so much still want to stay in that place to reap the benefits of female labor Women working doesn't inherently present a problem... it does devalue all labor when there is an abundance of it and it reduces the dating pool if you prefer a woman who wants to be a SAHM. You may have reasons to live in the US that outweigh the drawbacks of a large female workforce. The sheer amount of violent/concerning talk about women I’ve seen in anti femi…

1) There shouldn't be legal marriage, it's a joke now anyway... probably gonna be able to legally marry our cars once they become sentient. 2) Government is probably going to have to pay people to have kids pretty soon.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 01:05 AM

In America, average height for men is 3.83 cubits, women is 3.53 cubits. So, you can see why the things you read coming out of American sources might be skewed a bit taller than your global averages. On a side note, isn't it cool when people talk in units that require you bust open a google window to understand?

There was no stipulation of this scenario being "first date", perhaps it was several weeks into dating?

There is always the chance that the man is very interested in a LTR/commitment/marriage scenario with this woman, but is unwilling to commit to someone who could either have sexual hang-ups or is a starfish.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 06:43 PM

62% of Americans were middle class in 1970.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 03:05 AM

This is an exclusively middle-class mid-century worldview. It falls apart around the edges exceedingly fast. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I want to be compassionate about the edges, but honestly, the edges don't matter very much.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 01:59 AM

I honestly don't care, I'm not whining about it. Have kids, don't have kids.. we all see what the progressives have done to the world, we'll all be speaking Chinese in a few decades.. I hear the communists are big supporters of feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 12:21 AM

How about "Things go to shit when there isn't structure". SAHM was the most common/expected path for women, so there was a built-in support system in place. Most kids weren't being raised by daycares, women weren't juggling work duties and mothering duties, there were simply more mothers around who weren't working that could help other mothers/provide daytime companionship/watch someone's kids so they could run to the store, etc, etc etc. This has nothing to do with your SJW feminist man hate...…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 12:16 AM

Perhaps it was too nuanced for me.. hah... but, sure, I can see where the intentions behind the advice can come from a misandrist headspace, even if the advice itself is not inherently misandrist. Most of the stuff I've seen around these parts is just common sense like.. don't be an introverted fat slob making minimum wage. That's good advice for women too.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 10:35 PM

Advice, in general, is one of two paths: do nothing or do something. You can't "do something" about other people, we have no control over others... so the only thing you have control over is yourself. So your choices are: Do nothing or Self Improvement. I don't think there's anything misandrist about that.

But hypergamy by definition is dating/marrying someone better than yourself in some way. That's not "prove yourself worthy".. it's "you aren't worthy because you're not more wealthy/educated/attractive than me". Women tend to be in a position to be more selective, so they are. Men generally aren't as choosey. It's ironic really, women claim to be the more emotionally sensitive gender but their actions tell a different story by wholesale discounting potential mates because of shallow standards.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 11:36 PM

I think it's rare for someone's mind to change. I like reading other people's perspectives, but it doesn't change mine. If anything, I would say negativity in general just breeds more negativity. It doesn't really matter which side is spewing it.

Do men/women underestimate the importance of an erection during sex? Seems like there are some drug companies running ads on every TV show possible that would disagree with you. I feel like a limp noodle is sad times... exception being post-orgasm for the man, but lady isn't done yet... then you gotta use whatever other tools you have available to you. Reciprocation, by definition, does require someone to make a first move.. I'm not sure the point you're making here. Women can make the first mov…

You're very passionate about foreskin.

"Vestigial (organ) is a degenerate organ or structure or physical attribute that has little to no function in the species but possessed an essential function in the preceding evolutionary form of the species" I'm not calling a fork a spoon. Foreskin served a purpose before clothing came along, it is effectively vestigial at this point.

Sure, it wasn't the topic, but something has to have riled you up to post on reddit... I was asking where you were coming from with your remarks. And, if you have an argument about what you are claiming is harm, you should make the argument yourself, not lean on commenters to do the heavy lifting for you, no? There's nothing "false" about comparing foreskin to a vestigial organ, I view it as such... I would also have been quite glad if my parents elected to remove a 6th toe if I had one. Maybe s…

Harming males how? What are these ramifications? This is a cosmetic/hygienic procedure, I don't think I'd call it "draconian". Are you uncircumcised and the women you are encountering view you as different/unusual? Is the "harm" coming from insecurity about having a weird looking dick? If nobody were circumcised, there would still be dudes with weird looking dicks... so, I don't know if that's a perfect argument. If humans were born with vestigial tails which made clothing fit weird and sitting …

Could you imagine how catty the world would be if it were all women? Everyone would just be making each other feel shitty about the shoes they wore to the party.... men don't have the market cornered on being assholes. Maybe violent crime would go down, and probably rape... but, who knows... women could rise to the occasion given the chance; especially the women with higher-than-typical testosterone levels.

Women are defensive when interacting with unknown men. Men are not not. It's as simple as that. Women are more "socially skilled" because they aren't encountering immediate friction.

If you prioritize your kids, it will benefit them more to not be in an environment with regular conflict... Assuming the two separate environments can be safe and conflict free. If you both still care about each other, but amicably agree that the marriage isn't working, adjust your living situation to be actual roommates.. Maybe move to a home/apartment with an extra bedroom or build a guest house/man cave/she shed... or just find two places next to each other so co-parenting feels easy/natural …

You aren't immune to rejection/negativity/lack of desirability, even being statistically what women say they want. I have had negative sexual experiences (as have the women) due to a size mismatch or even a difference in our sexual desires or kinks, etc. For instance, you may find a lady that doesn't really like PiV, maybe she has mild vaginismus that makes large insertions not pleasurable.... Maybe she's a big fan of PiA, but she doesn't want an eggplant to ruin her outbox, or she can't climax …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/24 07:31 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/24 06:52 PM

Nowhere did I imply men are victims or faultless or less of the problem, just that the woman carries more inherent responsibility regarding her own birth control.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/24 06:46 PM

Fair or not, it is ultimately more of the woman's responsibility to manage her birth control because she is the one who will be saddled with the responsibility if the father is a flake. I don't think deadbeat dads are faultless, they're scum... But you're still a single mom even if the child's father is co-parenting and you're still a single mom likely due to bad choices. Women without kids often have negative options of men with kids from previous relationships too, it's not a one-way street.

There is undoubtedly more upside to being a woman in modern western society. Women's opportunities are far greater because of all of the DEI stuff going on. Dating is considerably easier for women - much easier to get first dates. Many people will excuse bad behaviors from a woman but will not excuse those same bad behaviors from a man. Women have easy or socially-acceptable methods to enhance their SMV (i.e. diet, cardio, implants, cosmetics); men have few options or the options are extreme sur…

I can't imagine that a virgin seeking a virgin to have virgin sex with would insult any women, unless the intention was just to punch your V card and bail out. Like, there should probably be at least a chance you want to try to give the relationship a go unless the lady just wants to punch her V card too. Paying for sex (which, adjacently, travelling for sex is not all that different) is generally frowned upon by people who don't pay for sex. It's, you know, sleazy and desperate and using someon…

Virgins are the worst... they don't know what they want and it's all awkward while they figure it out and it obviously doesn't feel great for them for at least the first few times.... and then you have the pressure/guilt to make a relationship work after "taking her virginity", even if you aren't getting along after a while. The worst, I tell ya.

You're probably right. I'd imagine most men could get sex with someone if they were desperate enough... I'm assuming the statistics didn't exclude paying for sex. I think it might be more fair to say "women have higher standards than men given an equivalent looks match"

It's not particularly normal to be insecure about inanimate objects. I mean, everyone is itty bitty compared to a baseball bat... so I guess it depends on what size you are and what size she wants (thought one could argue you aren't insecure about the toy specifically, you are insecure about being too small at that point)... or if it's not an insertion thing, I mean, it's hard to compete against a Hitachi, so, I think you just have to accept that some things are just straight up better than huma…

Yes. I mean, it's not a red flag, per se, but it's a yellow/orange flag if someone is putting themselves (and staying) in obviously-unhealthy situations. I've only dated ladies who basically all look and act like they could be my next door neighbor. She would rather "lose" you than do it herself, even thought, again, she is indeed interested in you. I don't know if it's exactly a counter argument, but my life experience has me only being lucky with ladies when the ladies made the first move. So, there's at least some women out there who didn't follow the "let them come to me" train of thought.

Alexandra. The rest of them are either fat, have serious problems, or are hyper liberal activist weirdos too far up their own ass to be in a relationship. Alex's "born again" status is kind of a roll eyes thing to me, but I can deal with Christians, they're mostly harmless. The average sex drive is her biggest negative. The high body count is .... Odd, but, shit, if I could get 300 women to sleep with me before I was 30, you're damn straight I would. I kind of want to give her a high five.

So, you made some sarcastic statements about housing and wages... but I agree with them. And just like affordable housing, wages, sex, or health care, nobody is entitled to shit. People who feel entitled to someone else's respect, kindness, labor, property, wealth, body, etc. are exactly what's most wrong with modern society. 1-900 numbers, web cam girls, escorts, hookers... sure, you get more interaction than watching porn, but they're all sex workers. If a dude is paying for a sex worker's time, it's for the fantasy of a an attractive woman giving them attention. I have to believe sane adults know the difference between fantasy and reality.... so, I can't see how that's impacting the dating market. Porn... no, I don't think that has promoted unreasonable ideals. Just like movie stars or swimsuit models, men will lust after those women, but few men were expecting to land a girlfriend that looked like Cindy Crawford back in 1990 and few men are expecting a girlfriend that looks like some porn star in 2024... nor would most men want their girlfriend to be a porn star. That book sounds like it's filled with bad advice. Absolutely be up front about what you're looking for in a relationship. If someone runs, that's good, you haven't wasted your time. "Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction" is very true. You want to find someone that wants the same things as you out of life and out of the relationship. If you act "mysterious", I think you're hiding something and I'm getting taken for a ride. If the "beta bux" is getting what he wants out of the relationship, then he's not in the same situation as "Emily" who wants kids and a husband, but is getting neither. You seem to think that only women do this for men. The reality is that everyone does things to make themselves more appealing to whoever they want to attract. Because you are only focused on one specific aspect of that (what woman do for men), you are blinded to the truth that women do things for women and men do things for women and men do things for men as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 06:38 PM

Is it ok for women to do things solely to appeal to other women? I don't think radical feminist means what you think it means. Perhaps you mean you're a radical man hater? It's not weird for someone (man or woman) to do things that make them more appealing to potential or existing mates. If you're so self absorbed that you only care about your own wants or needs, then you really don't belong in a relationship at all.

Fraud is fraud. It doesn't matter what it's over. You will win in court if you prove someone caused you damages due to fraud. You will get an annulment if you can prove a marriage was based on a fraud (i.e. married because of a pregnancy that turned out to not be your child). The woman is a grifter.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/24 06:40 PM

Sexual desertion is an at-fault cause for divorce (not that divorce needs a fault anymore)... it can influence things like alimony, but it's all very vague. Annulment could potentially still happen if you could prove fraud... seems like a stretch, but if you could catch your wife saying she only had sex with you to lure you into marriage and stay married for long enough to get your assets, there could be a case for it maybe?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/24 06:22 PM

Monogamy: "the practice or state of having a sexual relationship with only one partner". A partner that refuses to have sex with you has already broken the pact of monogamy... I wouldn't "cheat", personally.. I'd say I'm going to sleep with other people (because hiding shit is cowardly) or end the relationship or cope with the dead bedroom.

I think the imbalance was from the OP's statement that an average guy (I'm assuming not statistically average, but actually average as in when one says "I'm average body weight", i.e. not overweight, not skinny). The number of Average-or-thinner women is, ok, 30%, but the odds of those women being dating age & single is likely a way smaller percentage. So they were only seeing overweight women when looking for matches on an app.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 05:21 PM
9

Not overweight women are like 20% of women out there. That alone is casting a pretty narrow net. Why would someone who takes care of themself want to date someone who doesn't? Imbalanced relationships rarely function.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 03:36 PM
1

It feels natural to me. That could be nurture over nature, I'm not sure. I've always been a serial monogamist/committer and have idealized having a wife from a very young age. That being said, I would not have the self control to say no if I were single and a random hot woman showed up at my door every day and wanted to have sex... but I wouldn't actively seek that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 10:41 PM
1

Oh sure, it takes all kinds. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, and for some, physical appearance/attractiveness is low importance; potentially because they are asexual. Maybe an interesting addendum to your question would be if this lady has a high libido and is expecting an active sex life.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 10:29 PM
2

Are you happier staying single and potentially sexless I wasn't who you were asking, but I can answer your question with absolute certainty: 100% Yes. I would be more likely to get an erection in a frozen lake than in bed with this lady, so it's sexless either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 10:22 PM
4

I don't disagree, you can't build a relationship on looks alone, but it's difficult to have a romantic/sexual relationship with someone who you aren't attracted to. It's not a crazy expectation that your mate will put in some effort to stay attractive. That doesn't mean reversing signs of aging. It's not exactly shallow to expect your SO will eat healthy and stay active so they don't become obese
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 10:10 PM
0

It is a bit of a loaded question. IMO, no different to asking "What qualities would a man have that would make you stay even if he beat you?" Edit: the only correct answer is: "The self control to not beat his lady."
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 09:23 PM
4

Yeah, it is what it is. I think would have a hard time dating a woman that was much taller than I am; not so much because of some kind of "you make me feel short" insecurity, but the physical features of taller women start to become more masculine, which isn't very attractive to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 09:16 PM
10

That might be a bit reductive. I can love someone/find the positive qualities about someone who just doesn't happen to be all that bright or insecure or isn't the life of the party. I was just saying those things aren't deal breakers for me. Taking care of yourself (including eating right and staying active) is hardly being a trophy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 09:12 PM
7

I think point of the OP's topic was "Can an obese woman still be desirable if she had other things going for her?". I agree, though, it's absolutely a changeable quality, but for whatever reason, the vast majority of people in America are unable to change it.

So, here would be the personality traits I could forego if someone were Trim/athletic: chipper/bubbly chatty/interesting smart confidence shared interests so, I guess the negative personality traits I might be OK with would be: Not being chipper... generally just "being there" Boring/not much of a conversationalist being dumb/an airhead insecurity very little common interests, as long as life goals aligned traits I wouldn't be OK with either way: Meanness, malice, generally being bitchy Self con…

This person could be the most awesome lady I have ever known, an absolute perfect match for me in every way, and I could not get past the weight. I can accept so many objectively negative personality flaws, inability to control one's weight is not one of them.

I have two daughters. They got a lot of attention from me as infants, toddlers, small children, then less and less and less as they got older and became more independent and developed their own interests. My job is to impart wisdom, guide and protect, not to be their best friend/wedge myself into their life or to turn them into spoiled brats. I am always available when they need me, but I will push them to stand on their own two feet. I give hugs and complements and criticisms when warranted. Th…

"According to the American Cancer Society, a woman who is 5'4" and weighs 174 lbs or more is considered obese, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher" Not me proclaiming.. but I do agree with the ACS.

The average American woman is 38, 176 lbs, 5’4”, and working a dead end job. I guarantee she will pick normal guys but you guys are all hyper focused on the top 3% of women. 5'4" 176 is obese. You're talking like this is just average.. when did obese become average?? I'm 5'11" 176 with reasonable muscle mass and I would be embarrassed to take my shirt off at the pool. This chore stuff seems so hilarious to me. One person's standards for how they keep their house will rarely be equal to another's. Generally speaking, the person with the higher standards will take the bull by the horns and do what needs to be done to achieve those standards... then play martyr to their spouse about it. I'm not responsible to cater to my wife's OCD. I've told her this a million times.. if you want it done your way, on your schedule, you're the one doing it. If you're OK with it …

Not everyone finds "meaningless" sex enjoyable. Cheating opens you up to a lot of potential blowback. There are a lot of untrustworthy people out there, who may retaliate or be an STD Petri dish. If it leads to divorce, you will absolutely be seen as the at-fault party and will impact potential alimony. If you want to be an alpha, get a divorce and cite her sexual desertion as the reason. If you're the breadwinner, assume that you'll be paying half what you make in alimony and child support. Are…

I think a lot of it is just lack of communication. It's really quite simple "I don't have sex early in a relationship". You've set the ground rules, he's free to also be modest with his investment or cancel the date if he's just looking for sex or someone without hang-ups about sex.

Ah, but was Socrates happy? He was likely completely neurotic from all that pondering. Wouldn't you rather be with someone who's happy/content? I'm not saying it's mutually exclusive, but I'm not sure how you could be content if you question everything.

I donno, I just can't agree with you because it doesn't align with my experience. Women have so many more expectations/ideals and there's so much more nuance to achieve them. You know what I'm talking about... a woman will get upset if their guy doesn't say something about her hair when she does it up... or falls short of an expectation for an anniversary gift or says he likes it better when she dices the potatoes the other way... I mean, I'm not making this stuff up, right? Men walk an actual m…

I don't think it's mentally or emotionally healthy for men to call themselves simple or basic. As individuals, you are all just as complicated and multi-faceted I am very happy to embrace having simple needs. Wanting peace... who doesn't want that? I didn't go on a date with a woman because she was too tall. It was some online dating website, she messaged me to chat, but in her bio she was like.. I donno, 6'2" or something. I just replied that I don't think we'd be physically compatible. She was really incensed by it. I wasn't specific, so she then proceeded to send me like... professional photography she had done where she was scantily clad (see-through top and all)... imagine like a product photo on Amazon for "slutty clothes", but witho…

It's better for guys like this to approach as many women as possible. Statistically speaking one of them has to say yes. You're more likely to get hit by lightning. Your autistic nerd would be better off to live in an impoverished foreign country for a while where women's standards aren't in the stratosphere, then import them back to the states with a fiancée visa.

Maybe it's negging or they just don't agree with whatever "objectively attractive" is. Let's take a look at ScarJo: <image> I never thought she was all that, but yeah, even when she's frumped out here I'd be disingenuous to call her unattractive. I think she's super hot in Avengers... but that's the magic of Hollywood. I think a lot of "super hot" celebrities are just average folks with good lighting.

expecting men to pay for dates or judging men for being "weak" when they happen to cry in a relationship or be too vulnerable and so on. The traditional role of a man in a relationship is protector/provider. Contrary to progressive feminism's man-hate about masculinity, most women will respond positively to a man that can protect/provide and negatively to a man who can't. You will never change this, it's like.... a visceral animal instinct. So, paying for dates and not crying is tapping into som…

You can absolutely be "too nice". People need some friction. Imagine playing a game where you press a button and it pops up a message "you win!". That game is very accommodating, but doesn't do much for you (unless you really just needed a win that day). The problem I see is that, like you said, women are driving the narrative of "I want a nice guy" or really it's more like "Blah blah toxic masculinity blah blah". So, when some dude swings hard nice, it's like "this is what you ladies have been …

If, however, you're doing home improvements largely as a fun hobby, and you use them as a justification to not help out around the house if you see that your partner is overwhelmed and tired from work, I'd side-eye that. Oh god no, that is grueling, miserable work. My body hurts for days. My wife doesn't lay into me really about the housework, but I know it eats at her some. It comes up when she's upset sometimes, like "I do all the housework" kind of thing ... she conveniently forgets all of th…

You want to date someone who is going through a mental health crisis? seems weird... or, you mean being in active therapy just to prevent a possible one? I'm thinking more like... the Mrs. is regularly wanting home improvements done (renovation projects, etc.) and, sure squeaky doors, but also, changing water filters, checking chemical levels on the hot tub, cleaning gutters, fixing pipes, pressure washing the house/driveway, etc.. You know, the zillions of homeowner activities that don't include "housework". I'm just thinking from my perspective. Perhaps I'm odd but I never saw "hot women" as LTR material and casual hookups were always pointless to me. If a lady has spent her entire life being put on an pedestal, she's going to have a pretty distorted view of the world and expect to be treated like a princess instead of an equal. Hot women are a trap!

For choreplay - your partner turning into a lazy bum who doesn't help around the house is a turn off. I find my spouse very attractive but if he stopped doing his share of work around the house, the resentment and "ick" of having to take care of a grown-ass, able-bodied adult like I'm a maid would make him pretty unattractive. What's your take on a man who doesn't do much "day to day" chores around the house, but does 100% of the more traditionally male labor like.... automotive maintenance, hom…

I am absolutely affected by someone's appearance, it's true. I hope that I never make someone feel like I was mean (you know, unless they give me a reason to be!), but yeah, I'm sure that I am more friendly to someone who's "made some effort" vs not.... but I think that more speaks to how receptive they look to having a conversation. If your appearance screams "introvert", I'd be way more inclined to respect that and give you space.

Everyone's different I suppose, but I sure wouldn't treat someone different regardless of make-up/hair processing. I think obvious make-up is a minus, not a plus though. Clothes can have a more significant impact on a first impression I think. If you're wearing a dress or a tight shirt and skirt/shorts, you will have my attention, even if you are completely not my type at all, you'd at least get a head turn. If I were to interact with someone dressed like that I would assume they are "fun" and n…

IMO, make-up is a negative, not a positive, it's a deception. If I am going to be in a relationship with someone, I want to recognize her when she comes out of the shower. I like long hair on a woman, but not overprocessed - wild/natural is perfect. Nails - um, no, cut them short, paint them if you wanna, but whatevs. Shaving, yeah.... As for your average woman example (Peal Davis)... I don't know this person, I googled her. She's cute, pretty smile, but I don't think her body is "average". Ther…

That might work in 1990 or some 3rd world country. The overwhelming majority of women approached by an average-looking man for no reason instantly turn into a man-hating feminist, like you've just ruined their birthday by saying hi. Women are generally ravenously cruel to men they don't know. They're all hopped up on the metoo mob mentality from social media and view all men as sexual predators. Good luck out there boys.
