I never said that she was abused, only that she was married to an asshole. There is a difference.

I will agree that I was raped if you will agree that rape can be sensual, exciting, educational, and emotionally satisfying.

Again, for the kids on the short bus, you are trying to reduce a situation with many, many, nuances down to a "straight forward" sound byte that YOU approve of. You aren't looking for a "simple answers", you are looking for answers that fit YOUR narrative, and I am not going to play that game with you. Goodbye.

Learn your fallacies if you're going to argue on the internet, my friend. It will save you a lot of humiliation.

The only desperate one here is you seeking a predisposed answer that I will not provide to you. In Logical Fallacy terms this is known as an Argument From Ignorance and only a fool would swallow that bait. Go peddle your false dichotomy somewhere else.

Look, these types of relationships happen. That's just a fact. Me approving or disapproving of them won't change a thing. Mary, Mother of Jesus, is thought to have been around 15 when she married Joseph, who is thought to have been around 30. For the vast majority of human history this was considered the norm. Somehow we as a species survived.

I'm certain that it happens all the time, but I am genuinely apathetic over things of which I have no control. Like I said, I wasn't damaged by the experience. But, society now trying to categorize my experience as "rape" is just plain dishonesty. Rape is something traumatic, non-consenting, and humiliating. The aftereffects of which can be lifelong. I don't approve of rape, and no one should.

Not really. I was never dumb enough to not understand how society feels about such arrangements, and that however I tried to explain it, someone would be quick to judge me, her, or the situation in general, and seek to victimize me or villainize her. Neither of which is an accurate portrayal of me or her.

When I was 15 I entered in to a sexual relationship with a married, 30 year old neighbor. While I wasn't a virgin, I wasn't exactly very experienced either. It lasted about a year, during which time she taught me a lot about not only what women like physically, but also what I liked. She was married to an idiot alcoholic who made obscene amounts of money, and I suspect in hindsight that she was somehow trying to escape that. Not once did I ever feel "raped" or victimized, or traumatized. It was …

Jesus Fucking Christ, the amount of disinformation in this entire thread is mind boggling. No wonder we are still hovering at ground zero almost two years in to this shit show.

No DV in my story but when I needed food stamps in 2008 just after graduating in to the worst economy in (then) 100 years, with two kids under 5 years old, all I qualified for was $200 a month and no financial assistance. I relinquished custody to my ex and she immediately qualified for $1500 per month assistance. Flash forward to today and my ex makes about the same as me, just under 75k. She has gotten $2000 in free government funding plus she gets $800 per month in the new child tax credit wh…

"The fact that you're denying the systematic sexism that men experience in nursing, really makes me question your identidy, you're probably a man-hating woman pretending to be a male nurse." This just reeks of small dick energy. I cannot confirm what I have never experienced. You are free to question my identity, and your incorrect suppositions as to my gender have been duly noted. My post history would beg to differ with your juvenile imagination. "MEN WERE LEGALLY BANNED FROM BECOMING NURSES A…

If you were a man looking to enter the nursing field I would guarantee that you would find your opinion now is lacking in facts. While it is true that men make up only around 12% of nurses in the US, that number is up from less than 3% in 1970, and is steadily rising year after year. Additionally, there are a number of nursing scholarships aimed exclusively at men. Anecdotally, I have worked in a number of units that were staffed only by men. This is true in more intensive units like the ER, Spi…

Gonna have to agree with u/KilgorrreTrout on this one. My gender was never a barrier to me becoming a nurse. There are less male nurses because less males want to be nurses. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...

Strange. I finally decided to leave FB late in 2020 when all I saw was a cesspool full of Pro-Trump, anti-vax, science denying, knuckle dragging mouth breathers.

My ex-wife liked to bone in the morning. Coincidentally I was usually hard as nails right after waking up. I don't recall her ever asking permission to mount me in hindsight, although I do recall times when I wasn't interested but figured WTF, it's one thing I can cross off my list for the day.

Teenagers and younger men often have spontaneous erections that don't necessarily have a reason. It's just part of their physiology.

I am cut. Luckily though, either the doc that performed it was lazy, or he knew enough to leave as much of my foreskin intact as possible and still be circumcised. Even when fully erect I have enough skin to pull up over my glans. I have this extra webbing of sorts but it has never bothered me due to the amount of remaining foreskin. And, I battled every family member I have, including my ex-wife, but I refused to sign the papers to allow my son to be circumcised.

I am circumcised. Although I would like to think I had a sympathetic doctor who did it. I have quite a bit of foreskin left. Enough that I can stretch it over my glans. It makes sex comfortable and masturbation a breeze. When my son was born every one of my family members said to cut him, including my wife. I flat out refused to sign the papers and he is intact to this day. I have no idea why this barbaric practice is considered normal by such a large swath of Americans.

It's a brand new program. His name got flagged as owing back support. They intercepted his stimulus check without differentiating who all the money legally belonged to. Like I said, it's not a feature, it's a flaw that has been addressed. Unfortunately she will likely never see that money. However, the receiver will likely get dinged on their 2021 taxes when it is discovered that she received $2200 more than she was entitled to.

Down vote all you want but this is happening in error, and is being addressed by the Treasury. HER stimulus, and that of HER children, are not eligible for redirection of HIS child support obligation.

My ex-wife hit me over the head with a wine bottle and when I tried to defend myself I was arrested, spent a night in jail, and lost my gun rights for ten years. I eventually had the DV conviction expunged but lost five years of good income because no one would hire a "spouse abuser".

I am a 51 year old American so, obviously I was circumcised. To be honest, since it is the only thing I have ever know, I didn't waste much time thinking about it until a sonogram revealed that my second child was a boy. After reading up on it as much as I could I came to the conclusion that I would not subject my son to the procedure. My ex-wife was livid, as was just about everyone I discussed it with. The main argument I heard was basically "He'll be self conscious if he's the only one with a…

That's the problem. No one is denying that the payments were made. Not my ex, and not the court. The court, however, isn't recognizing those payments as "child support" simply because it wasn't paid directly to them, who would then disperse it to my ex.
/r/MensRights03/05/19 02:30 AM

She can't actually wave the back support because there is no back support to waive. It was paid in full directly to her for nearly 10 years, and I have the receipts to prove it, and she knows that. She is simply being spiteful, which is her personality. What pisses me off is that the court automatically sided with her without even so much as asking me one question. Incidentally, she is a nurse like me, lives with her parents rent free, has no car payment or mortgage of any kind, which the court …

The problem with that is that a couple of years back most major banks stopped accepting cash deposits to accounts you are not on, as was the case with my ex. So I have been buying money orders and depositing those. What I do have are several hundred deposit slips, or receipts, that reflect $1,000 per month that I have been depositing in to her account. No one is in dispute of this, the court just isn't recognizing these deposits as "child support", and will only do so if I make payments to her d…

Which is exactly why we made the agreement, sans the court, in the first place. It worked flawlessly for nearly a decade. Only after discovering that I was getting remarried, and that my fiance is an Asian woman, did she get spiteful. This is an attempt to "get back" at me for moving on with my life, and the fucking court is actually condoning this crap.

Yes, California. I have proved that I have made nearly $20,000 of payments over the years. My ex-wife does not dispute this because she knows I kept every single receipt showing the deposits in to her account. It doesn't matter to the court. They are telling me I am in arrears to the tune of 20k, and unless I set up a repayment plan with them, they will suspend my licenses.

This is exactly what I do not understand. Without a driver's license and a valid nursing license I will no longer be able to provide support for my children. Who the fuck thought that this was a good idea? It is the complete opposite of common sense.

Agreed. The women in my life have never been the demonic she-devils portrayed throughout this sub, although my second ex-wife comes damn close. The truth is that I enjoy women in my life specifically because they ARE women. I like talking to them, looking at them, working with them, and yes, fucking them. One can be a fully self aware male without demonizing half the fucking population.

As a hospice nurse I deal with death and dying on a daily basis. As the only professional in the room, it's up to me to take control of the situation and guide it to it's logical conclusion. I apply this to every other aspect of life as well.
