I know men here (me 9) have to provide valuable advice, or shut up/go. So, I will be short; you are fine as you are and being anything other than yourself is not uniquely you. Don't care what others think so much and quiet and demure versus super outgoing is a nice vibe. Let someone else be the life of the party and just be you! You do you best! Destan :-)

I appreciate your response. Whilst the explanation of your uncle is valid, as a single point of data, this article condenses several studies showing what I alluded to previously, which does include men. Otherwise it would indeed be a flawed data set https://ifstudies.org/blog/counterintuitive-trends-in-the-link-between-premarital-sex-and-marital-stability Hope this provides some interesting reading. Cheers, Destan.

I can linnk the specific papers cited in this article, or just link the article which condenses it. https://ifstudies.org/blog/counterintuitive-trends-in-the-link-between-premarital-sex-and-marital-stability Cheers, Destan.

He may not necessarily be cheating but he may be indeed qanting to spin plates and have multiple girlfriends, which should have been addressed at the start of the relationship. It's somewhat infair to want to have several ladies (or at least the OPTION), get into a relationship and express your needs several months later. I am 50/50 here, he should have without a doubt been honest from day 1, but at least he has told you the truth now and you know what options you have. Destan.

Okay, he is correct about one thing. Pair bonding (the ability to have a life long/multiple year monogamous relationship) with a woman is not affecyed by a guys 'notch count', but when a woman has many partners it affects her ability to pair bond and stay monogamous, happy and maintain an LTR. The statistics show that the more partners a woman has, the more she is unable to form long term commitments and pair bond, whereas this does not happen with men, all you have to do is think about biology …

You sound like a pain in the arse who if the world was given to her would still not be satisfied. Do him a favour, leave the man alone and go find someone else to hassle for the next ten years at which point you will have aged like milk and then be looking back upon him fondly wondering what your stupid 22 year old brain was telling you. Grow up. Destan.

Well, that is a really good response and you've explained your situation and feelings a bit more here...so I must admit I was initially a bit presumptuous on my part as most people do not seem to have the insight you do about such issues. Only you can find out why you won't submit, and that's a good term you used. Submission does not mean 'slavery' as most people think, it means living in your mans frame and deep down a woman needs to submit to a man, regardless of religion or not it is biology.…

Basically it is this, you do not have that deep desire for him, the kind of desire and need that would make you want to ride him like your life depended on it. The first paragraph illustrates this. Christian or not, you wouldn't be asking these questions if the list and desire part was there. Lust is an important part of 'love'. At some point it's going to be an issue, you either love him and WANT him or you do not, if you love him but donnot WANT him, then don't waste his time and his life.

Hey man, cheers for the reply, just read your response. Eerily similar to me. Don't let another woman who doesn't value your time mess up this opportunity for your biomed degree after what you've learned. I could be so much further ahead in my life if I hadn't taken so much shit. I was the alpha for a year and lost frame after constant nagging, the next 6 months literally nearly killed me. Stay on your path, your purpose and nail your biomed degree. I'm glad you shared your story, I appreciate y…

Sounds like I'm in a similar position to you, the ex fucked up my masters in biomedical science. When she needed me I was there, when I should have focused on her I did 'the right thing' and helped her out and cared for her every way I could. Then, when my academic performance and mental health started getting worse I was dropped in an instant. Rage is real here too, putting the pieces together and going monk mode for a while too. I think the thing is to not go too far the rabbit hole of mode 4 …

Maybe not mandatory, but I've made it clear to all of my exes that if I ever had kids I'd want a paternity test, maybe that's why I don't have any kids! I think if a woman does not understand or appreciate the need for a man to know that the child he is caring for, for 18 years, is his (or not) and won't agree to a paternity test (written, signed) then that's a red flag. It's not about 'trust', it's about the dad saying 'if I'm going to invest, I'll truly invest but if that's the case I've gotta…
