The most you want to do, in terms of opening up, is sprinkle some vulnerability game in your interaction with the LTR.

You'll just have to be an ass and break it with her over skype.

It's tough. Watch Jordan Peterson; for some, he might have the answer, namely: take responsibility and start a family. If you're not into that, then just invest in friends and your family.

Hey. Take a step back, a deep breath, and just chill. If a woman acts like a child intimately towards you, that does not mean she cannot be responsible and mature insofar as required to have a healthy, normal relationship and life. In other words, despite being childish, a woman can still function as a normal person. What – did you interpret this post as saying that you should search for an incapable nincompoop who can't talk straight, trips with every step, will set your house on fire, crash yo…

Good post, loved it. Relevant material from Roissy, proprietor of Chateau Heartiste – Talking to children is good practice for talking to women, plus a few other of his posts.

I thought about this too. I plan to open with a semi-serious face and say: that's cute – but it's wrong But the line with "nice shoes" /ht u/adsfsertuwhna might be even better.

Go to talk to people, not just women. Try to open as many groups as possible. This is an important part that something that skipped my mind. It usually helps a lot to keep me in a socially-outgoing state if I get positive feedback from anyone, regardless of their gender.

I personally did not progress very well on a 5x5 program. I tried Stronglifts. My problem is with the volume, not the exercise selection. Specific issues: going too hard too fast -- having only 5 reps per set and generous rest (2' -- 3') allows you to get the illusion of fast progress. not enough reps in a set to practice form thoroughly. Basically, I progressed easily, but then my form was always so bad that I had to regress to lower weight constantly. It also made me quite prone to getting inj…

Beautiful. This gives an evolutionary perspective on the motives behind our predilection to employ imitation -- "not to rock the boat". Good complementary part to GLO's overall point. What's weird is that these "unscrupulous agents" are typically unaware of their own machinations. So in fact, calling them "unscrupulous" might be an undeserving merit. They are just golems and puppets themselves. But then -- who is the puppet master? Where do the strings lead to? For a long time, I had a hard time…

Insightful post. I enjoyed reading it and I find that it ties in nicely with some earlier observations I made about myself on the same topic of the will and the way. I have three remarks: 1) Can you expand on what you mean by: If nothing else, try to change your perspective of whatever it is you're doing. 2) I reached the conclusion that our experience of doing something (be it our job, spending time with friends or family, cooking, weightlifting --- literally anything) can be in one out of thre…

From my experience, if I'm too self-conscious, aware of my every movement and word, then my story will suck. You have to convince yourself of your own story. Remember: you're telling the story for your own amusement -- it's all about mastery over yourself. Then, others will follow suit and also believe in you and your story.

Haven't heard before about the female closure insight, and I read almost everything by the three R's (I've been a RP lurker for 3 years now). Thanks for all the details and insights!

Thanks for the straight-up answer. I guess I didn't want to believe it's really all that simple -- validation. This quenched my uneasiness about this whole situation.

Use the power of pre-selection and social dominance. In high-school (and I assume you're in high school) that's among the most efficient form of game. Oh, and do tell her not to forget her jimjams.
