Tbh even on the friend level you shouldn’t automatically give everything. It makes people less interested in you, because you have nothing left to give - you gave yourself away already. It’s one of those frustrating but real ways that psychology manifests itself. Kind of like showing up late to a party - it just makes people more interested in you.

Don’t give yourself up fully. Nice guys, like I tend to be sometimes, are people pleasers. We feel like we want to tell everyone the FULL story all the time. It leaves no mystery with you. There’s nothing to wonder about you, nothing to be desired. Stop giving her the full explanation for who you are. Give her short answers and let her ask questions about you. Keep her wanting more.

She’s probably just being friendly. Maybe she thinks you’re a good looking young person. I doubt she’s seriously interested in you, though. I was in the same exact situation - freshman in college, cute late 20s or early 30s lady who scanned our id. Lots of smiles and eye contact. Told her I thought she was cute and she told me she was a lesbian. If I were you I would just look for other options than the cute older lunch lady.

The lessons you shared are honestly just good lessons for normal life, for building good relationships in general.

This happened to my relationship too. I’m 26, we were together 5 years, best friends, sex life dwindled after a couple years. I don’t know the answer. But here’s what I can say. You can’t take her attraction to you for granted. You need to maintain that. Obviously going on dates is part of that. But building sexual tension is another part. The push pull dynamic people talk about in this sub is something you should research. You can’t give her everything she needs emotionally (not all the time at…

This guy was also talking about public sex in general. I also feel like fucking on a dance floor is quite different than doing one drug or the other.

So if you have an interesting conversation with a girl, whats the end game of the convo? ask their number and to get drinks?

Yeah, think about being at work and being professional. But I wouldn’t say it’s being fake, it’s more like only showing one side of yourself. With seduction, I think it’s more about channeling your authentic self into certain roles. Which you could argue being at work is the same thing.

No, my question is whether it’s likely or not. Dancing is really big in some cultures. I know Asian cultures tend to be a little more reserved or modest with some stuff, so there was a chance it was kind of an outlandish question. Just a temperature check. Don’t read too much into it.

If a guy says shit to you like that, cut them out of your life pronto. Either that, or if they are friends of yours that you want to keep, jab them right back with something, true or not. “Well you’re from the New Jersey, the armpit of the country.” Or “says the guy who wanks to furries.” Or whatever. Don’t respond directly to people who are trying to undermine you and tear you down. Either ignore them and to hell with them, or jab them right back without directly replying to their point.

You sound like a crybaby. Get out there and push yourself out of your comfort zone Unless perhaps you have some severe psychological issues? Psychopath, borderline personality disorder…. In which case get in therapy ASAP

Find an interesting way t describe what you do. “I’m an electrician. I make buildings have light. I’m the one who you can thank for having good wifi. I build the shit that lets you charge your phone at night.” Or, find a funny way to describe what you do. “I basically crawl around like a mouse squeezing through corners in order to connect your wifi.” That’s maybe a bad example but you get the gist. I’m a land surveyor and I tell people that it’s basically the job Indiana jones would do if instea…

Well I just got out of a 5 year relationship which wasn’t working for like 3 years, so for me it was very hard to break up with her. So, I’m not looking for love, but if it comes raging at me, yeah, it can be hard to avoid lol. But also take into account the stage of your life. I’m in a city that I might want to leave in a year. If I get caught in love then I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. It’s definitely possible to set a boundary and avoid becoming too intimate. I think the key is to…

Ok you're right about that as well. If we want to be fully thriving people, then yeah, being with women is kinda one part of that. That's one of the primary goals here. You're right, I kinda went in the other extreme. Yeah, you're right. I'm working on myself for my own sake, but dammit, I want a woman, and I wanna have great sex with her. I just got out of a 5 year relationship so I don't really want to fall in love with someone, but yeah, I can still like someone, show vulnerability, care abou…

Yeah, the no mans land is tough. Eh, don't give up so soon. Don't be disappointed. Odds are she was having a bad day, or didnt really wanna be there if she was in a hurry to leave. Try to not worry about it too much. Thoughts are merely an appearance in consciousness. Just because you think something (like a worrying thought), doesn't mean you need to invite that thought in and engage with it. You can close the door on that thought if you wish. Still, if "kid" has already become an inside joke, …

My advice is to use this summer to focus on yourself, and not getting with women. Find some type of exercise that you could actually stay motivated to do for a while, find hobbies, be social and try to make friends, go to festivals, etc. Build your life infrastructure first

The one thing I’ve learned from this sub is that seduction is a byproduct of getting your life in a good place. Is your life in a good place? I’m not so sure that fucking one girl is gonna fix all your problems.

I think she likes you. Maybe is intimidated by you, or insecure about liking a younger guy. All you can do is to embrace it, and start joking about being a “kid”. Try to make her laugh about it. Just take it in stride, she clearly doesn’t hate you lol

Here's why Im on this sub. I had a great relationship with my ex of 5 years. We met and became genuinely best friends. But our sex life sucked. Part of it was because she didnt have much libido. But honestly, I took a lot of it for granted. I never tried to seduce her. Not on a psychological sense, at least. Sure, I wined and dined her, but I didn't tease her. I just kind of assumed sex should happen. So now I'm trying to remember how to flirt and seduce. The truth is, seduction, flirting, teasi…

Lemme put it this way. I met my ex of 5 years very organically. We became good friends first, then started dating. “Normal” person, right? However, our sex life started to falter strongly after just a year or so. My point is that you can learn how to maintain attraction and how to be romantic even if you do find a good partner. That was one of the downfalls of our relationship. I got complacent. A lot of the best lessons here have more to do with mindset on attracting women, and maintaining rela…

You coulda made a big joke out of it, like almost yelling “shit, where are the twinkies? I need a 12 pack of Twinkie’s, pronto! Fuck, I can’t find any. I guess I’m gonna be stuck skinny.” Try and make her laugh at how ridiculous it is. Something like that. And then just carry on the conversation flirting, and make an attempt again later. Kind of use that ridiculous thing as the flirtatious banter that allows you to escalate. Tease her about it. Yeah, sometimes a rejection isn’t absolute. Kind of…

/r/seduction10/04/22 02:06 PM

Yeah... The goal for me is to date, friends with benefits type situation, we only really hang out if at the end we're gonna have sex, but we still enjoy each other's company, but also know that we're keeping a boundary and not looking to fall in love.

You just gotta go for something. You're never gonna think your way into a hobby, at least I wouldn't. What's the coolest nature thing to do in your area? Ocean, mountains, rivers, etc. Just pick something to connect to the place you live, find an activity you enjoy "enough" or are at least somewhat interested in, and find a group to teach you it, to go to it with.

"nothing more than friends for once" This means, women are happy if they can find a man who does NOT want sex and ONLY wants to be friends. The reason is that most men want sex with them. So, to find a man who does not want sex with them, they are happy to just be regular friends with him.

Ok first of all man you are not pathetic based on the number of women you’ve been with. Second of all, you’re 19. Trust me, at 19, you are still much more of a spring chicken than you might think. You need to build self esteem based on your own firm belief in yourself and the value you bring to the world and other people. That is worth a hell of a lot more pride than any number of women you could ever be with.

I agree, sounds like you have deeper issues than just sprucing up your game. Sounds like you might have self esteem issues, or some baggage from earlier in life. Only advice I'll give is a common form of therapy is exposure therapy, where you intentionally expose yourself in a safe manner to the things that scare you or make you anxious. Would it be so bad if you forced yourself to maintain eye contact when a woman is talking to you? What's the worst that could happen? Btw, not every man needs t…

Escalate is honestly kind of a charged term. After all, "de-escalation" is something you try to do when people are on the verge of getting in a physical conflict. I like what another poster said. It's about building up the moment. Just set your sights on making out. How do you get there? Flirt, be silly, make jokes, get closer to her, touch her a little. It's about setting the scene for the moment. You're right, you dont want to just kiss her abruptly. But if you flirt, joke, tease, arm around h…

you’re always more attractive when you’re busy with other stuff, it’s just a law of nature For sure, agreed You should think “we’ll she’s just another girl, I’ll toss my net and forget about it” Well, that certainly was my plan if she followed back. I was just gonna go for it. But now that she didnt, I wonder if I'm a little premature in going for it. Regardless, I'll look for opportunities to send a chat. Cast my net, say fuck it, Im not too attached to her

Do you think it's a bad look to message in response to an Insta story, if she doesn't follow me currently? It'll go in her message requests. It's not really about letting go of my ego I'm concerned about, it's whether or not it would be a move that would make her interested in me.

Good method. Commenting on a story. Commenting on a post seems a bit too desperate. I followed a girl who I met twice, the first time at a party, and I swear she was giving me a look. She didn’t follow back. I think I’ll comment something funny on a story and hope she follows back, so I can DM her something. I’m not gonna message request her lol if she doesn’t follow me. But if I get no reply, eh, fuck it, move on Edit: never mind, I realized you can’t comment on a story, it just sends a message…

Stop trying to control things you can’t. Just focus on yourself. Do you need to apologize and make amends? If so, then do it and move on. If not, just move on, be yourself. You might need to branch out socially.

Ah, to have the brazen confidence of a young man once again. It’s time you grow up and become actually secure in who you are, and be confident in a mature way, because the cockiness you and the boys had isn’t a good formula for adulthood. Speaking from experience here, brother.
