Yeah. I get what you mean. I might even feel that men's bodies in porn are much further from the average and portray a far smaller praised variety than women's bodies, but that's just anecdotal intuition and it shouldn't really matter how that compares - unfortunately, it is hard to get around those comparisons when people try to assign one a privilege and question their need for help based on them. Just accept each other the way you are. If you do not feel attracted by trait X that is fine, but…

Disagree. If they would actually promote men receiving the same protection as women, that would be great and has nothing to do with being "weak pussies". However there are no words to describe how far we are away from equality in that regard. Anyway - the empathy for women is good. The lack of violence is good and the violence towards men - esp. to bring "justice" is internalized misandry and toxic af. We need to bring men up to that standard, which would maybe introduce fairness into law enforc…

I mean - the issue is not so much the attribution to men, rather than the lack of concern if the victim is a man. It is not like we as a society would do enough to stop the high prevalence of male on male violence - even though there is not much stopping one from engaging in it and go a lot further than with women. Some act as if that Y chromosome makes us invincible towards brain damage on impact, which is why by now unconsciousness is just accepted as a usual outcome of a disagreement in media…

Well, that person already declared that they won't argue. The empathy gap is backed by sources and this is one symptom of it. Claiming men would magically not be affected by that when it comes to ball kicking is what would actually need proof.

Reddit and social media in general isn't the best way to change peoples minds or to have a constructive debate and your views challanged - do not take this to heart. I agree. If some people would not assume others intentions and (mis-)interpret their statements based on that, if people used arguments instead of meaningless insults, if people would value acknowledging one's own mistakes higher and wouldn't frame it as a weakness to edit or rephrase statements after aknowledging that it was not the best way to put it... - but no. Men being told they are free to beat up and kill men and it's their duty to do so if they were bad towards women and children is hardly a privilege either. And lower prison sentences for having a child? Uhm, maybe you should've thought about that child before? If you risk your childs wellbeing over whatever you did, you are surely of no benefit to its development. I don't want higher prison sentences for no reason on anyone and getting beaten, raped etc. is not part of anyones sentence, I don't …

It is to be seen within the context of the Argument. I say it could be used in way X, but I clarify at the same time, that even then there would still be stuff that is not just feminist, but simply lacking in logic regardless of the content. It also explains that there is a great chance they do not actually have a very thought out plan (as in: trying to become a "starter drug" for equality advocacy), but you can't ever know I guess...

This is actually not a stupid thing to do - if and only if they will act on slowly introducing the knowledge that men could face issues in a highly euphemized way, and then slowly go more into the cold hard truth. I mean, stuff like the false rape text... How could anybody come up with the idea "Hey, let's show them that the percentage of accusations that are false is low... As if that percentage had any meaning. But wait, let's also just assume every accusation not proven false to be true. And …

Yes. It is still absolutely destructive that it is seen that way, but it's similar to the fact that "men are free to attack and hurt men if they want and are expected to do so if society deems it justified" is presented as a privilege. Men are not only praised for sex. They are expected to get it and the number one way to attack a man is through sexually connotated body shaming of whatever form you like - which will eventually resolve into "that's why you will always be too sexually inept to eve…

You should understand that pedophilia is a defined condition, not an insult or a crime. If something is morally wrong or not has nothing todo with it. Some states in america have what's called a 'Romeo and Juliet' law because it may be strange or unjust to throw love-struck teens into jail for having consensual sex. But it varies from state to state. You are right, though it should be noted that there are at least some Romeo and Juliet laws out there that literally wouldn't allow Romeo and Julie…

Yeah, afaik it was rewritten in feminist language. Should be obvious though, as the context has to fit - imo saying they replaced jews with men does include that but that doesn't matter. The ideology stays the same.

The issue is that people and the law mush everything together until it becomes a big pile of nothing. Staturory rape can be comitted by adult teachers or by minor pupils, who use the same bus as the younger party, go to the same school as the younger party, live with their parents like the younger party and meet up after school at the younger parties house and develop an intimate relationship. Those two cases have almost nothing in common. And if it is just oral/anal/hand, there isn't even the c…

Boys being boys has the inherent premise that boys would be defined by something. For example being invicible, accept violence, use violence against men (especially if it is self-justice for a woman), accept sexual assault, be girls personal body guards, excpect no help or empathy and so on... The current idea of what masculinity is about and how it is explained to children is highly misandristic.
/r/MensRights24/10/20 12:24 AM
1

I disagree with the conclusion. Living free of unequal amd misandristic gender norms is not equal to living free of social influence. The social influence are the gender norms and the proposal is that we should treat boys and girls equally (this would have to include tv and so on, and it would have to be actually equal, especially in terms of sexual realtions and violence (treating boys like girls now)). This is possible - because of the research you mentioned. You take what you are given - and …

Many men who are cheated on forgive the girl and go beat up the dude she cheated with. Do people seriously believe she would love you any more if someone else actively stopped her from cheating? Imo there needs to be no intercourse. If you would be down to intercourse if the other party was or if the situation would enable you to do so, then the betrayal is already done. And self-justice is illegal. Everybody has the right to a fair trial and we have a law in place.

There was definitely a conviction of a 17yo in germany who had factually consensual sex with a 13yo, even though the younger party did - even after becoming an adult I think - not want a trial or conviction and a psychological evaluation also found no harm done. The fact that they still believe we would be save to do anything. Like, dude, we aren't even save to look at other men in the wrong way without having to worry about getting our asses beat, and the statistics are actually backing up those fears. I know. Don't worry, this is not about you. You make this sound like staying alive was a given in a situation like this. People have killed themselves over astronomical child support bills for their own children. I think talking about losing ones job underestimates the influence this decision has. How are you supposed to ever pay for a child of your own? How are you supposed to start a family? You are financially considered a part of that family - a child you have nothing to do with, a woman who cheated on you, got pregnant and didn't tel…

We need to spread awareness, especially to cops, that male sexual assault is real. I agree with the sentiment, but I feel we make this statement since forever without progress. And whenever there are witnesses to these things they do not really react concerned the way they would with women. The fact that men get assaulted by other men simply because they do not hold the right to be protected at all costs like woman do to 95% of men needs no new term. I agree with the sentiment, but the explanation does not make sense, unfortunately. The surplus of one of two hormones is not enough to assume that external supplementation can't cause harmful effects, and actually, many men under replacement therapy become infertile and completely lose LH and FSH from their blood. Still, it is your body and you do not have to talk about it if you don't want. Just ignore them. :)

So, first of all, not all hormones come from the ovaries. Pancreas, Pituitary gland, you name it. Second of all, supplementing hormones is quite easy and just depends on it being allowed (men with hypogonadism would have testo, lh and fsh again if they were allowed to take enclomiphene - at the moment we give them testo and take away fsh and lh (of which they didn't have enough anyway depending on the case of hypogonadism), which induces the contraceptive properties of testo, which, as we all kn…

Legal and factual ability to consent are independent of each other. She can absolutely give informed consent. It is illegal, but only because we can't prove the ability to consent so we made up a number and said "everything below that can file a report". Filing reports just because something is illegal if there is no factual damage caused makes absolutely no sense. It's illegal so we can protect victims, not create them. Are you sure the question did not spark some fetishists thoughts? Sometimes I find it hard to differentiate, but there's quite some stuff like it out there and it is mostly fetish talk afaik. It focuses extremely on the humiliation and sexual aspects - much more so than most would if they were describing actual punishments and especially if they felt sorry.
/r/MensRights04/10/20 07:58 PM

Wouldn't be the same. Being flat chested is actually just a rethoric insult with no real meaning. There are a ton of top-level porn stars with extremely flat chests. Riley Reid, Dakota Skye, Piper Perri and so on. It doesn't matter that much in real life and is treated completely different across media. How many movies do you know where the class strips a girl and everyone, including the teacher, makes fun of her boobs and tells her how inadequate her existence is because of it and her self-imag…

That is completely inaccurate. Being realistic is good, but body shaming is not better than body positivity. The effects can very well make the issue worse as people compensate their negative feelings with food and are afraid to be made fun of for lacking the motoric skills in a gym etc. at first. Be supportive.

You will actually find quite some people here who support parents etc. filing statutory rape police reports under all circumstances. The issue is that the huge variability in development is mostly ignored. We would need to make it differ on a case by case basis, but we can't prove the ability to consent - which is why the legal ages are mostly just made up by what society feels comfortable with and are not directly backed by facts or science (they try to check for effects of different ages of se…

Exactly. The less likely their change would get them accepted again, the less likely they are to change. If we want a rapist to actually constructively participate in therapy, we have to reward that with accepting a positive change. Nothing is more dangerous than someone who has shown that they are capable of doing it and who thinks that there's nothing to lose anymore. Apart from the fact that punishment relies on the perpetrator feeling a significant threat of being caught. Nonetheless, we see…

The thing with attempted crimes is similar to attemped suicides. Women's attempts are less serious, even wenn it comes to overdosing. Their intent is less often as serious. A significant association between suicide intent and gender was found, where ‘Serious Suicide Attempts’ (SSA) were rated significantly more frequently in males than females (p < .001). I kind of agree. This is where the empathy gap starts and nobody told anyone to hit her back wtf. People do not just go out and have their children do bad things and go "great job!" or "thank you!". I don't get why we should abandon parenting here. I am sorry, but isn't every porn title constructed like: [Woman name] is [sexual act] a [cock size] cock? And then they proceed to not even show the "cock's" face? Wasn't it that when you have a scene where the girl "pays" rent via sex, it is not the landlord demanding it, but she is seducing him and if he's hesitant she just pulls the pants down and starts? It is not body dysmorphia. It is realistic. More on that later(Soon™). People have been forced to die for this by mental health crisis teams. You are not wrong about realizing that your body is considered inadequate.

Satire? The post is idiotic. The issue is that it was done without consent - they can still like it if they want and actually, when people do not recognize something as bad, it usually creates more suffering than the initial violation to try and make them feel like it.

How does it matter to me anyway tbh? We are supposed to have a brain to use and should therefore be able to change unfairness regardless of the reason. Incredible how many stand behind the terriffic lack of empathy towards men that enables them to be the great "protectors" they always wanted to be whilst using them whenever they need a spare human for amusement. The crime example does not fit in. Punishment is administered to prevent relapse. However, it is simply irrational to believe we would come even close to finding all criminals, or even crimes. This is not fully accurate. While the circumstances - unsurprisingly - affect how severe the influence of the condition is, the condition does absolutely not just go away. Moving the goal posts is not a legitimate treatment. For example, the influence of a disability to walk depends greatly on the demand towards a person to walk. As long as the person doesn't need to walk, symptoms will, to a certain extent, "go away" (to put it in your words). Same for ADHD. It makes no sense to assume that dis…

You're an uneducated person contributing to their problems if you call it a "non-condition" thatc"can be cured by exercise. Depending on severity, it can be classified as a severe disability. There is de-facto no cure as of today by the way. The existence of adhd as a neurobiological disorder is not an opinion - every other belief is flat-earther level of denial. Assuming you are not talking about patients who do not actually suffer from adhd.
/r/MensRights17/09/20 10:21 AM

Very important to keep in mind that adhd is highly variable. Just like taking drugs, increasing the neurotransmitter concentration, has vastly different effects in different people, so does their abscence. Some will jump to conclusions like "X has adhd too and she says..." - but that's not how diseases of the central nervous system work.

Now with this one: They are teens, he used birth control, he cleared that topic before and she had the chance to abort, while he cant do more than birth control... I don't see misogyny? The lack of empathy towards men is probably part of every other problem we face. Being competitive and being empathetic are two different things, but a "good" man should absolutely be always empathetic, especially towards other men (until it is equal towards everyone). Interactions with other men would be a lot safer for all of us if they stopped feeling like it's ok to use violence against men, while it is not ok against women. Whenever possible, you should not use any violence and any exceptio…

Look at the post. The reason we can't just stand up anyway, is because most men to not treat men equally to women either and contribute to the problem. Many men are raised to believe that men do not need protection and that violence towards men is not an issue. Also, if ist man vs woman, any anount of violent self justice after stopping the attack is seen as needed and encouraged. The fact they do not show a emotional response to the suffering of a men that comes even close to the ones of women …

I was actually rewriting the comment before yours, after another one, before refreshing, but you already commented. I guess you are kinda right. I assumed that to be so blantantly obvious and irrelevant to the mensrights topic, that the comment would not be in the right place. And in a perfect world, that would be the case. A quick look in the comments brought me back to reality though. I still disagree with how it was phrased, but my comment was not justified and I will delete that.

If you use violence in a situation where it is undoubtably needed and efficient in preventing or stopping anybody from causing harm and it is only used to the full extent it is absolutely needed to hand the perpetrator to law officials, then I agree. Maybe I forgot something or messed up somewhere or whatever. Actual message is that none of the things I asked for are the reality, (and until victims and perpetrators are not treated differently based on gender anymore, handing to the officials wil…

It's created by both parties. And stigma is not what has to be talked about. The "stigma" is that the problems men face are seen as invalid and therefore the suffering that results from that is too - every problem a man faces is just a minor annoyance in their eyes. Destigmatizing men's health does not mean to tell them to speak up. It's accepting that a ton of men are treated like human garbage - pardon: inhumanely treated like garbage. You misunderstood. I'm a bit fed up to always hear people tell us to speak up, just to then tell us that we don't even know what group X goes through and how thankful we should be. And even if they don't say that and we do speak up, the empathy in these conversations is often lacking - especially if you are a male abuse victim. Can call myself lucky if they don't argue if it was rape at all. The problem is not men speaking up, it's what they - legitimately - fear will happen if they do.

Women oftentimes do not attempt suicide the way men do regardless of method. Men do "succeed" more even when overdosing. https://bmcpsychiatry.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12888-017-1398-8

The second point is very important. Many stop at point 1 and think that, if women used males methods, they would die far more, which is completely wrong. Women show less [serious suicide attempts] via overdose as well. Leaving out this fact messes with the publics thoughts on how this works. Women's failed suicide attempts are often not the same thing as men's suicides and the numbers shouldn't be compared.

Actually, I consider this stupid "men don't seek help cause they think that's weak" victimblaming by now. If men were treated equally in social interactions from birth on, there would be less need to seek help. But who cares, create a problem and then sell the solution. Men don't get help if they seek it either, as people just can't treat them as equals. The reason why they have to get help is an objective lack of empathy in society. Men bad, women good. Man injury not bad, woman injury very bad…

Why exactly are we talking about the past at all when it comes to things like this? Same goes for adult rape, were the CDC "1in 4 survey" has shown that nowadays there are, even when the definiton of made to penetrate excludes fist and foreskin, about the same number of victims (and the number of men being penetrated is neglectable). But people still only talk about the statistics looking at the past... And want to make politics based on those rather then the actually currently accurate ones.

Absolutely, let me clarify. The deal here was not soo much about educating the people HERE about this, rather than implying that the general public, who don't even come here, do not expect us to look at it this way. Again and again I see people arguing that if men had it so bad, then they would stick together to fight - which is a contradiction to my prior statements. Yes, but if reddit decides not to differentiate between fantasy and reality, which is for them to decide if they want to host fetish porn, theres no reason to let femdom slip while banning maledom. Vanillas and children stumbling across these subs have been a problem for quite a while and there are countless alternatives. Fetish subs on Reddit have no future and I advise to switch to things like BDSMLR for that.
/r/MensRights05/09/20 02:22 AM

Just a quick update on this. Misogynyfetish was almost exclusively selfies from women asking to be verbally degraded. It's fantasy. Nonetheless - Reddit has taken a clear stand in this topic and I do think it could be advantageous for fetish subs to operate outside of reddit where less people stumble randomly upon them. Btw - there are people taking actions behind the scenes and misandryfetish is just the tip of the iceberg.

Are proven false. And about as much are proven true. Prove that the statement "Bigfoot is real" is false. It's impossible, no matter the likelyness. Does that mean Bigfoot does exist? If not, then it could still very well be a false claim. But people leave that out. The general public actually believes that 90% of accusations are TRUE based on the suggestive phrasing. Even if his muscels are strong enough to take it. Holy cow, that is absolutely not how anatomy works. Actually think this comment still perpetuates the standard irational justifiction not to feel as empathetic towards men, whose muscels are strong enough to take dying, apparently.

TwoX has made it astonishingly clear that they do not care the slightest and will leave the work of doing something to us - disregarding that 50% of male bodyshaming comes from males, because why would some young guy without erectile dysfunction care about someone getting shit for it, right? These males are selfish and stupid unfortunately. I do, but that is the reason why this aint gonna work. As long as people are made to feel its okay - and by not speaking up you do that - they wont change. S…

Well, people don't care as long as a male is the one suffering. The difference between perpetrators is minor and irrelevant, because the empathy level 15/100 is about the same as for an egg with googly eyes. Just calling out the case with an empathy level of 0/100 is not going to help us in the long run, especially because its not as often that that is the case.

They believe MRA is about women being evil and men being good. That is how simple they treat problems. In reality, it is not hard to accept that the vast majority of men - mainly outside of MRA - are very problematic in that they only give women and children the right to be a victim, whilst men are not considered worth protecting. When it comes to my health, I'm most afraid of men, when it comes to the reactions to that assault, I'm going to be laughed at by men and women and when I speak up abo…

Nono, they do not even know because they get protected from such misogynistic tactics aimed at making them realize that the violence and ridicule men have to go through is not less impactful simply because the victim is male. Being male does not make you invincible to being a victim. So news outlets search for the most specific groups, who have no relevance to the graph to try and make it about them. Yes. Men can't be victims and women mustn't be victims. This is was almost every problem is based upon. And men can't be victims does NOT mean people don't know they get beaten up. It's thesr people who do that, see that, tolerate that and encourage that after all. No, it's that a man is not seen as a victim, even after someone witnessed him receiving violence etc. Hes not seen as defenseless like women and children are. But even if he wasn't, it shouldn't matter. If you get beaten, you are a vi…

People do not understand that I do absolutely not care if a man or a woman kills me. The fact that the threshhold for me to get beaten or killed - mainly by men - is much lower than for a women is what I fight against. Oftentimes women try to use the fact that men will mostly be the ones to beat up men as if that would change anything for the victim. Mens threshhold to be violent towards men is as low as it is high to help them. That's why mensrights is such a minority. Pretty much only victims, who were not convinced that being a victim is part of being a man, care about this. And the world knows that. That. Exactly that. If a girl says something mean, society says so what - even though it does regularly kill people. If a man says something mean, women are reduced to their bodies, treated as an object and made to go to significant lengths to please society - and as a result getting massive public support that challenges the severity of the impact and is not only abscent, but made by outlets who engaged in these discriminatory practices when it comes to male victims. I would not try to call it anything close to a womens movement. To gain any attention, it should be its own thing, calling out its own problem. Whoever releases the first thing that is big enough in itself to gain traction and has its own Hashtag, that can be used and adapted to do more with it, will ultimately decide on the name. Do not try and get any inspiration from their movement - they have to be seperate or will lead to destructive competition.

Using homosexuality like this does not help - same goes for the typical small dick stuff. I would advise to simply stick to facts. Either people care enough about the topic or they are hypocrites who refrain from educating themselves to keep acting based on emotion. That is exactly what some feminists are rightfully critisized for. Sad to see that people here are no different as soon as the topic is emotionally charged.

I am 100% against violence ever, especially as there are cases where people have done that and afterward it was found out they were innocent. I wish we could all be peaceful and equal and simply help anyone who feels like a victim and stoo telling them theyre not and stop making people feel like theyre victims because we think so if they don't agree and tell them the're just manipulated or whatever. It messes with them and they develop irrational fears.

One bad punch and you fall. If you are unlucky you die. Death from falling happens daily but esp. when unconscious. The family is aggressive now and they gain full custody without the 2 boys and the girl having anybody to tell. Would you rather risk that than fight for and potentially save her? You imagine going there and shooting the house down, but often it won't go as planned.

Other girl? The cps women who didnt care if she helps to get a girl raped and sabotages the investigation by instead of freezing the crime scene and halting custody, she left the alleged criminals alone with the crime scene (here: the girl)? Appreciate that. A few things to think about though: A crime scene shall remain freezed. By giving the girl to the potential criminals after she clearly told the cps that her body is a potential crime scene, the investigation is undermined if not full on sabotaged. That alone could be counted as assisting in the crime. Even if you do stay objective, the fact that THIS scene was not affecting the cps women in the slightest is EXTREMELY odd.
