Reasonable. But why would men inflate themselves to appear more appealing while women deflate themselves to appear more appealing?

Again, interesting. Why do 1st-world democracies favour women? And if they do, why haven't we seen a female US president (the Hilary/Trump debacle aside)? How is it a smaller margin? Is it simply that the day-to-day realities of reproductive advantage are small, and further diminished by the fact that women don't like to sleep around? I agree with you there: ancient societies commodified female sexuality. I suppose I'm purple pill though, because I believe that the same commodification disappear…

I'm aware of the "Women-Are-Wonderful" effect, but what makes you think that gynocentrism is a reality? So what if we're predisposed to trust women. Does this simply mean that women are more trustworthy than men?

Thanks for responding! What are men's problems and what are women's problems? Why is one better at solving the problems of the other?

It's weird, isn't it? To bring the personal into the thread, I'm the opposite: I'd be what the RP calls a BP cuck. I like strong, dominant women equal or greater than my height and weight. Weird, eh? But I know that it isn't the norm. This article interested me insofar as it plugs into a dominant sexual trend: men inflating their value to attract women who covertly diminish their own value. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I'm happy to play the Devil's advocate to see it discussed.

Lol! Well, it looks like he isn't very reputable. Nevertheless, does this article have any merit, Kanazawa's opinions aside?

Interesting. Thank you for fleshing out your thoughts. Another question: Has this inherent imbalance flattened out, or even skewed in favour of women in the modern age, insofar as few men can exercise their strength over (most -- some women are stronger!) women nowadays? Furthermore, rapists are (rightly) demonised nowadays and seen as more or less equal to murderers. Thus, insofar as the power/size differential has been negated, are women more powerful than men in the 21st century on account of…

Indeed. The author's point seems to be: men strive to appease women (to be selected) while women enjoy power which diminishes with time (as time ravages their looks). It's definitely more of a RP viewpoint, but I'd like to see other posters refute or support it. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it caught my eye.

This seems fairly straightforward: Men try to appear better than they are (image goes up). Women try to appear less than they are (thinner, younger, less sexually experienced); however, for women, this equates to appearing better, insofar as men are attracted to thinner, younger women (and in some cases, are disgusted by "sluts"). The point of the article is that women do the reverse of "shitting all over [themselves]" when they under-report their talents, weight, &c. Again, these aren't my own …

Fair question, I omitted the link between my summation and my question(it's elaborated upon in the article). Women, as time goes by, witness a depreciation in their power (hence trying to feign youthfulness and immaturity) while men experience the reverse. From that, I'm asking: are women more powerful (generally) than men, and do they witness a decline in their power as time goes on while men witness the reverse? *** These aren't my own thoughts or experiences, I just noticed the article and wa…

What are you passionate about? Pursue that and enjoy it, but not at the cost of your health or your finances. Pursue your passion(s) wholeheartedly but intelligently. If you love painting, don't expect to make a living from it, but pursue it with all your heart while being responsible. If you're talented and lucky, you might make a living from it; if not, you'll have built a stable life and possess a unique collection of personal (and attractive) creations nonetheless. Ask yourself what the best…
