Lots of girls find him extremely attractive. In theory if he called and asked them out, they would drop everything to make it happen, reschedule other events, suggest another time, etc. if she's not willing to do that when you call, she is not attracted to you and it's your signal to "next" her (cause she's already nexted you). You could just as easily sub out Brad Pitt for archetypal guy chicks find very attractive.

Law of Attraction (the book) advice here: if you want a certain outcome from someone, frame it positively for a higher success rate. "Don't forget" people can get hung up on the Don't, or the Forget, and separate each word from its original meaning in context or "remember". But I agree with the other posters here, if op plans on sending a confirmation text, keep it brief and not "hey don't forget omg so excited!!" And more like "see you at 1" or "looking forward to tomorrow"

This vid parallels Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He hammers the point that desire is fundamental to getting what you want in life over and over again throughout the book. By fundamental, I mean that it has to come before everything else. The speaker in the vid similarly emphasizes the point, and I think he's spot on.

I feel like reversing it would make more intuitive sense to me. Start in the centre with yourself, begin with the self development/inner game stuff close to you. Then build outward through the steps you outline. That way, instead of zeroing in one one girl (how it kind of looks to me), you build outwards to a world of options and can pick whether you want one night stands or a relationship or whatever. Looks very slick though, I like the style.

Thanks for the response. Haven't seen the girl I'm in this situation with in a couple weeks, likely won't see her again til a group thing in a couple weekends. Probably best to let that one go.

One sentence paragraphs, bombarded by ads on the side to buy something, finishing off with being interrupted mid-read by a cheeky "LIKE WHAT YOU READ? THOUGHT SO!! LOLOLOL :)" message asking for my email. I get that people want to make money with this stuff but I was rubbed the wrong way by not only the article but their whole approach.

It is from the modern American classic film Mean Girls. I recommend watching it, but prepare yourself for heartbreak. You will fall in love with Lindsey Lohan's character and then be shattered when you realize what depths this once wonderful woman has sunk to.

I read a really good thing that was linked from here but I lost the link, I'm pretty sure it's called 60 Years of Challenge. The guy talks about how it's more the girls job to look pretty, they aren't as attracted to looks as we are. The like confidence, competence, "the man." The way he worded it was fantastic, words to the effect of: "Fuck it. You're ugly. I'm ugly. And that's ok! Own that shit." Anyhoo you could look into that, I found it very helpful for my self-image and letting go of the n…

I think you may be right about 60 years of challenge, I haven't been able to find a link to it though. Haven't read Bang myself.

No problem. Expanding a bit now that I'm remembering more, some more of the concepts were that: Men are much more attracted to looks than women, whereas a greater piece of the attraction pie for women is taken up by status, confidence, those sorts of things. Which is great news because while these take time to build, they are absolutely within your control. It's a bit crude to say "it's THEIR job to look good," a closer feel to what the guy was saying is the above. We value physical more whereas…

I saw a really cool ebook linked in this sub but can't remember the author or the title. Perhaps somebody reading this and knows what I'm talking about can link it for this guy? It had a great reflection on physical attraction. I'm going to paraphrase here... "Dude, don't worry about being handsome or hot or whatever. You're ugly. I'm ugly. Fucking own that shit. And that's not even what girls are into anyways. It's THEIR job to be physically attractive. Once you can let the need to be "handsome…

Not exactly. I would suggest having a look at the sidebar. It talks about inner game, which is basically about you being good with you. Elsewhere it talks about value giving vs value taking, and how more people (not just da ladeez) will be attracted to you if you add value to their lives. I think how this quote ties in here is learning how to express the real you, not change who that "real you" is, but learn how to express your passions and own them with confidence. People like confidence. One t…

Only about a quadrillion times haha. I think you're right, they aren't my think. I can't describe the feeling I get when I hear Tik Tok. I guess really strong guilt...I know I should (or should I?) hate it but there's something irresistible about that track. It's like...you don't have junk, you're a girl damnit! But that beat... You may be right. Taste is subjective, I'm sure it sounds like liquid heaven to some folks. And I've really toned down my music snobbery, looooove me some pop music, Maroon 5 is a huge not-so-guilty pleasure of mine. Something about this Fun band, I don't know, I find them grating.

Hmm...to me it sounds like bad Paul Simon. And when it slows down and gets quiet and he's talking about looking into his nephews eyes or whatever, just like nails on the chalkboard for me. It feels very fake and disneyish. Overproduced, I'm not a fan of those walls of vocals they use for the main "whooooa oooo whoooooaaaa" part. So it's kind of a perfect storm of little things that I don't like. Not sure I can describe it better than that.

I agree that it's a continuum. As I understood the article, she kind of sets up an all or nothing situation, where irony is evil and the goal should be total elimination from one's life. That sounds somewhat laudable and incredibly dreary. It's probably better to live with a bit of irony, helps with humor and whatnot, but not make it your focus. As she says in the article, you can "demote" its importance in your values and focus more on good things to build your personal foundation on.
